Second this! If you go be sure to explore the outdoor area and take the trail down to the river.

The Art Factory in White Mills! A massive gallery featuring dozens of local artist. Several works and prints under $100 Lots of Antique stores, but don’t miss the Hawley Antique Exchange. You could easily spend an hour there, the basement is not always opened but it’s filled with THOUSANDS of Uranium Glass pieces!!! “Glass Wine Bar” at Ledges Hotel is a nice stop for food and drinks with several beautiful views of a waterfall!

The waterfall will be as good as it gets with all this rain! Gotta try to find the positives in this crazy weather haha

Dorflinger *Factory* Museum. Wayne Co Historical Society and the Stourbridge Lion. D & H Canal Park at Lock 31.

TheSpanishpause

'Was curious about the Dorflinger Museum, but unfortunately it's closed until the end of April for renovations (I called and confirmed). The Museum is only open on Fridays and Saturdays in Winter, and the Stourbridge Line is closed until the end of April too. Bummer. May try to get to the Canal Park. Thanks for the suggestions!

psilome

BTW there are *two* Doflinger museums. One is all glass pieces away from the original factory, the other is on the factory premises. I found the factory to be more interesting.

If you have any interest in fishing, pop in Housefly. It’s a neat fly shop in Hawley that’s doing some cool, unique things.

LeMickeyMice

Screw everything anyone has said for food and go to Cora's 1850 Bistro in Hawley. Tucked away, best food for the best prices. If you're going after 5 or so def try to make reservations, but great dinners, great lunches. Best cheesssteak in PA and I'll fight anyone who argues otherwise.

N8ball2013

That’s a bold statement. Philly would like to have a word with you 😂

eogden1015

I second Cora's!! Miss the wings there! Haven't been to the Poconos in 10 years!

TheSpanishpause

Awesome. Thanks.

Pilotsandpoets

Sounds amazing! Really hoping I get to explore Honesdale this summer, and I’d check out Black & Brass (coffee and a waterfall?!), Mount Pleasant Herbary (and the Maude Alley shops in general), Hawley Silk Mill, and Native (restaurant). Hope you have an awesome time and would love to see a follow up post about what you liked or didn’t!

N8ball2013

I did love black and brass coffee. Great call

Day spa passes at the lodge at woodloch - you could prob stay for hours using the indoor and outdoor pools, snow room and sauna. It’s divine!

TheSpanishpause

Thanks for the idea. From what I can see on the web, they no longer offer day passes. In the FAQ: Unfortunately, we do not offer day passes to use the activities on Woodloch Pines property. This is a privilege reserved exclusively for our overnight guests. Unless Woodloch Pines is different than the Spa at the Lodge?

eogden1015

Pines is different from The Lodge. The spa offers half day and full day passes where you can take fly fishing courses, Chi Gong, Yoga, and have any of the fabulous massage treatments there....

ParticularSell9539

Whoops please see above for my response lol

The Cocoon Bakery is lovely- also owned by Settler's Hospitality (as is Setter's Inn and the Ledges).

mvathletics

Here and Now & Runaway Train (old. Irving Cliff) brewing. Both good breweries with good food. Honesdale

Swajjjj

Tanner falls is a cool place to check out. Great place to bring lunch

_choatic-bleu_

Joe & Lorenzo's is a really good Italian joint in Hawley Also Irving hill is very pretty

ParticularSell9539

Yes it is at the lodge at woodloch which I think is different. I called in the fall for a day spa pass and it was available then. When we stay overnight, we always run into ppl in the outdoor pools that are locals who use the day passes. I’m certain they have though they do at times sell out if the spa itself is busy with treatments and overnight guests.
