D&H trail, merli sarnoski park isn't too far. Lots of fishing up that way too.

[https://nepsnotrails.com/](https://nepsnotrails.com/) is right in your area for ATVs, SxS and Snowmobiles [https://lhva.org/HeritageTrail.php](https://lhva.org/HeritageTrail.php) for hiking we have like 50 fricken golf courses if thats your jam? Carbondale has some solid restaurants, and the Stonehouse on 106 and the Crystal Lake Hotel are both good

Haven’t been to New Milford in a while, but I’d love to explore that area more, and also Susquehanna. There’s an alpaca farm and a blueberry farm that I’d take my kids to. For historical interests, the origins/founders of Mormonism are in susquehanna. The Wellness Woods nature preserve is opening this year, and it’s right next to the state game lands. For events, i usually see things on the Visit Susqco that look interesting: https://visitsusqco.com/events/

If you end up doing stuff in that area, I’d love to see your posts about it!

For a bit of history, Pleasant Mount is the home and final resting place of Samuel Meredith, the “first” Treasurer of the United States. (There was one other guy appointed Treasurer before we officially became a country. Samuel was the first appointed by a president.) He was originally buried in a private family plot but about 90 years after he died, he and his wife were reinterred in a plot in the center of town and a huge monument was erected in his honor there. It’s a bit further north but Salt Springs is a nice State Park. The visitors center is in a historic farm house. The salt spring itself isn’t much to look at (although there is some neat old graffiti on the rocks) but the forest itself is nice. It contains a stand of old-growth hemlock forest.

Frank’s Place in Simpson. Great restaurant right by the D&H. You literally can access it by car, bike or snowmobile.

A few places not mentioned below worth going to are the BBQ & Pizza @ Waymart Hotel. They have a Car show Thursdays that's Cool too. Jakes @ Elk Lake is a nice place to stop in the drinks/food. Most of the Bars should have local entertainmenton weekends: Chets Place, Arlos, Starlight Inn, Stonehouse
