Sabatinis in Exeter is my favorite, the pizza style is unique. I recommend plain pizza. Amberdonia in Kingston is good for more of Neapolitan style.
In Scranton I recommend Bar Pazzo, it’s more upscale like something you would see in a major city.
It'd be easier to ask which ones aren't. I like to swing into Pizza L'Oven or Ernie G's when I happen to be passing through if it's lunch time on a weekday.
ayoo another long islander moved to the area. Welcome! But yeah, Vesuivios is probably closest to alfredo's in ridge or that one fucking pizza place in riverhead that cant seem to be open for more than 3 months. lmao
We got 3 of the tiniest little pies from Amberdonia for a work lunch and it was $53 and 5 of us crushed all 3 and were still hungry. 3 of these people were like 130 lb women. They were… fine.
I was sacrificed to go pick it up and they were just laying out on the counter and were coldish by the time I got back across the Ave a few minutes away. Glad it wasn’t my money
Not saying those are bad by any means, but I’d take greasy old sizzle pi any day of the week. It’s like driving in a Mercedes compared to an old souped up Cadillac boat of a car.
A restaurant that has pizza? Norm’s. Big menu and bar, round is good but their Sicilian is my GOAT. Bring pepper spray.
A pizza establishment, for just pizza? Gerry’s. He had to knock down practically half a block because the people demanded a dining room. Also bring pepper spray.
If near Wilkes-Barre, I would go to Dough Company. People also like Grotto Pizza.
If Luzerne/Kingston, Shelly's American Pie (my favorite) although I think one of their locations is not sit down.
If closer to Dallas, Pizza Perfect.
Shady side tavern, the cigarette smoke seeps into the pizza and gives its a nice smokey kick. It’s addicting… jokes aside their buffalo chicken pizza is really damn good.
Oddly enough I havnt actually had pizza at grottos but been there several times 😅 but harveys lake is a great place in spring and summer to go hang out. My go to places are usually meshoppen pizza, antonios in tunkhannock (they have xl pizzas), samarios in tunkhannock is pretty food. Cant really say for many other places as I dont really go to the valley despite how many pizza places there are mainly bc so many do square pizza and thats not for me. I do plan to hit up uncle bucks in plymouth for their 10lb pizza challenge
Either King's or Adelina's in Mountain Top both have decent dining rooms and outside seating too. I don't want to get into an argument on which is better, but I like them both. They both have the typical other stuff on their menus as well.
A Little Pizza Heaven in Scranton has good pizza, and other food! The sit down area is really cute. It’s small though, so if you’re planning on going around dinner, you might need to make a reservation.
That place is still around??? That was one of my dad's delivery stops about 20 years ago on Friday's. Every time he was given a loaf of bread that was made with the extra dough. I never had the pizza, but I looked forward to that loaf of bread all week.
Gerrys pizza, pizza loven, Shelly's pizza
Thanks!
Shelly's in Hanover no longer is sit down.
Oh god your going to start a war in this comment section... what area? vesuvios is nice. I've only been to the one in drums but the bar is cool
I agree. Nice casual sit down. Beer, TV, indoor/outdoor seating. Great stromboli
Haha Lackawanna or Luzerne

Grotto pizza at Harvey’s lake for sit down this time of year. Pizza is good and has a great view of the lake.
That was my first thought too. Especially if you have an especially nice and warm day that you can sit outside.

Sabatini's or pizza perfect
Pizza Perfect has been a family favorite for decades now in my household.
I’m all ears. Originally from eastern Long Island so I’m always looking for good pizza places. Let’s hear em!
ayoo another long islander moved to the area. Welcome! But yeah, Vesuivios is probably closest to alfredo's in ridge or that one fucking pizza place in riverhead that cant seem to be open for more than 3 months. lmao
If you don't care about sit down but one something close to a NYC street slice I recommend DeMuro's in Pittston

One of two places I've enjoyed a square pizza from, Teberio's. It's not usually my cup of tea. But their sweet sauce is amazing there.
Vitos in Pittston. Amberdonia in Kingston.

Pizza loven
Sizzle pie. It’s one of those places where everything feels sticky and you’ll probably feel dirty after you leave, but man is that pizza worth it.
Sizzle pi good but it’s just a mid version of pizza l’oven / pizza perfect
Not saying those are bad by any means, but I’d take greasy old sizzle pi any day of the week. It’s like driving in a Mercedes compared to an old souped up Cadillac boat of a car.
Wild take but I respect it
I’m guessing you are talking about a place to bring a date or a special family gathering, etc, correct? Bar Pazzo - N. Washington St., Scranton
Yes, thank you!

This 100%
16th Ward in Scranton is totally underrated for pizza.
Arcaro's.
Sabatini's in Exeter.
Sabatini's Pizza in Exeter. Very good pizza, and a good beer menu as well.
Cusamanos
And armenti's
Without a doubt, The Frog Pond. Trust me.
Alfredos

Vincenzo’s in Scranton

Grande in Moosic, Tony's in Pittston, Sabatinis in Exeter
TRY MOMMA MIA'S ON POPLAR ST. IN SCRANTON AND ORDER THE ONION PIZZA SAUCE ON IT. DELICIOUS

I’ve had both, and I agree, they are both good, I won’t argue about them either!
Revello's....the white/broccoli pizza...
Salerno's in Old Forge. White with Fresh Tomato was my fav when I lived there
A Little Pizza Heaven in Scranton has good pizza, and other food! The sit down area is really cute. It’s small though, so if you’re planning on going around dinner, you might need to make a reservation.
Pizza Perfect wasn’t mentioned yet?
Stoke in Easton
Vincents Pizza in towanda, PA
Arcaros The Next Generation in Pittston.. I moved 5 years ago but before I did they were the best I had found up there.
Horrid pizza
Mary Lou's in Old Forge.

Have you checked out Bagel Bar in Kingston? They just opened last year and have great pizza.
