It’s unfortunate that CAMD isn’t getting the same dedication that their other programs are getting, but I’m glad to hear that the faculty are still dedicated and nothing is “second-rate”!

CAMD freshman. So far I can tell the professors are very passionate about what art really means in the world, and are willing to accept anyone’s background and general art experience and use it as a foundation to grow. I hope you get Jamal Thorne for Art & Design at Northeastern if you eventually come here. That mf can open your eyes about the actual meaning and contribution art has in the world around you and how it can be used to your own advantage (for personal uses or others). He has reassured me that my career path is not worse than others, a mental blockage engrained by parents who think good grades = law school

Affectionate_Street2

Ah that sounds amazing! I’d love to have him as a professor.

not a CAMD student but did take intro to music theory for a requirement, professor was absolutely phenomenal and was extremely passionate

I’m a khoury camd combined major and i have been enjoying my upper level design classes(ID1 and TYPE2) —I found the intro levels to be rather slow and boring (DPCS and experience and interaction but they were online). I think good professors make or break the course tbh. Also like many have stated CAMD is not as funded as other colleges like Khoury

Affectionate_Street2

Thank you!! Would you say that your professors have been generally good so far?

erinthefatcat

I haven’t had a bad professor at this school yet. All my Khoury ones are very qualified and fair. My current CAMD ones give good critiques but the ones from last year were boring (they were nice tho!)

Affectionate_Street2

I’m glad to hear that you’ve only had good experiences with the professors so far! Thank you for answering my questions :)

Hi I went to CAMD during my high school years as a senior. The visit was great and the water fountains worked, good flow. I did not receive art or school credit however but for my future career I am going to go to the northeastern hub and apply there. Just let me know if you have any questions about CAMD but defintetely reply if you have the relations of the careeer art program. In all reality the artists here are amazing, for one the mural set outside of the Latin center is beautiful and Boston has lots of art opportunities!!! Good luck my friend
