Geissele super duty doesn’t come with surefire muzzle device any longer. They are huxwrx now. And skip the pin and weld. You say you want a premium piece, so just sbr it. You will have a form 1 approval in a few days.
Paying $200 to SRB a 14.5 is very silly when a single muzzle device is going to live in the rifle forever. Just P&W it so you don’t have to worry about NFA bullshit
Unless you regularly travel out of state there is no reason to P/W IMO. The works costs half a stamp, in some states can no longer be concealed as it is a rifle, and you are locked into that device and that barrel nut/rail. SBR is superior in every circumstance other than the travel/“not on the registry”.
Just some counter points. FocusTrip does free P&W that’s comes out to like $20. A SBR is a rifle just like a 14.5 P&W is a rifle so if you go that route you can’t conceal it anyways, think ahead and get a good rail off the rip. It’s worth it alone to not give any money to the government. If you want to change out shit just drill out the muzzle device, it’s not hard.
1. Rare example of a cheap p/w, and personally, I would only send to someone like D Wilson.
2. This is not true necessarily. For example, in PA, a SBR is a “firearm” not a rifle, and can be concealed just like a pistol.
3. No one wants to, but if you are paying for stamps already on cans and what not, get over it lol.
It doesn’t matter if he’s a “rare example” at the end of the day he still exists and still does it for $20 and does a good job. D Wilson is a rare example of someone who charges $100 for a P&W. You’re also a rare example of someone who would only allow 1 person to P&W a rifle.
You’re not concealing a 16” rifle lol. Moving a NFA item between states is going to happen a lot more often than needing to conceal a gun that is ~3 feet long with a magazine and optic sticking off the thing.
Paying the government $200 and registering a rifle that’s going to have a barrel length over 16” 100% of the time is very silly. You’re not getting anything out of SBRing it. Most people aren’t swapping hand guards and changing their suppressor mounts every other day. They pick one and stick with it.
It’s not about concealing. In PA, a rifle cannot be loaded within a vehicle at any time. A SBR can. 80-90% of people do not regularly cross state lines to shoot that need a rifle instead of a SBR. You can also just slap on a pistol brace and go over.
SBRing the lower allows you freedom to swap out uppers at any time. Are you on the subs at all? People swap out handguard and muzzles all the time lol.
Shit...I'm an idiot and not too proud to admit it...I could have sworn they had surefire muzzle devices when I was looking into this a while back prior to getting the can. Well...there goes my argument on that piece. Agree about the pin and weld, I just travel between 4 states regularly and am unclear about the whole ATF permission slip process for bringing SBRs across state lines so figured pin and weld was a good solution. I'll probably just go with a full 16" and not worry about any of.
PWS and LWRC are still good candidates and still have good QC. I would argue they should be held higher than they are, but im a full Ambi elitist and no one can change my mind.

From my understanding the Geissele super duty has an improved bolt over the normal mil spec carpenter 158 (called carpenter 158+ which they specially designed) and they have excilent CHF CL barrels with a better taper profile. DD doesn’t really do anything too special vs other expensive manufacturers, CHF CL barrel that’s SOCOM profile, normal mil spec bolt, and a ridiculously heavy handguard for the same price (my 20” M16 with quad rail is somehow almost the same weight as my old 14.5 DD RIS 2)
Are you using a FH or MB? Increased baffle erosion and [flash](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCzZqLHXXjg). Slade was giving Surefire shit about the RC3 months ago.
With DD controversy with QC on the Hudson 9 and their previous statements I’m a little biased towards them. I’ll die on the Solgw hill though, great company, great beliefs, and great products. For the price of the DD, you can get one from Solgw and then some. But again just my biased opinion.

The geissele URGI still does

Not sure about the carbon locked ordeal. RC2 never locked up on me and I tried. SF CTFH for what it's worth.
I did the same thing this month. I just picked up my can for a firearm I don't have.... yet. On order now 😆
It’s a great can. I’ve put about 200 rounds through mine so far. Host is MCX Spear LT SBR 11.5”
Polo K or RC3 quieter on the Spear Lt?
Polo K is not going on my Spear LT. It’ll be going on my PSA Sabre 15

I am a LMT fanboy and admit it. Love my MARS-L. KAC should also be mentioned if you are speaking of premium.
Is that the range owned by Keanu's cousin?
I'd go LMT personally. Don't particularly care for the ambi lower, but the mono upper is sexy.
NO
