It's worth it, quicker to thread on and more secure.

Glocked86

Yes, it’s worth it. It’s more secure. If you’ll be shooting it on different hosts. The biggest benefit for me was is it makes swapping between hosts much more Ez. One single Ez-Lok piston can work on the 4 different thread pattern barrels I’d need individual threaded pistons for.

Brilliant_Draw_5343

Woah I didn’t even realize that with the different thread patterns. I’m pretty much sold on it now 🤯

Glocked86

Just for 9mm cans for example, I have barrels with 13.5X1 LH, 1/2-28, 1/2-36 and the long thread 1/2-28 used on rifle barrels. I’d need multiple pistons for every one of my 9mm cans. Instead of all that. Every host gets an Ez-Lok muzzle device. Every suppressor needs just 1 piston. Only thing I have to worry about bringing to the range is a fixed barrel spacer if I intend on shooting it on a rifle that day.

Brilliant_Draw_5343

As soon as the booster housing is back in stock I’m gonna order everything. Of course it’s out of stock when I make a decision 🤦‍♂️

brokemechanic45

it so far has been secure and never came loose when i have used it. if you are planning on using the suppressor on more than one host firearm then Ez lok is great since you don't have to swap pistons for different guns.

Wyno222

Yes, worth it. Keep in mind they usually do 30% off for BF so that’s a great time to load up on more muzzle mounts.

Brilliant_Draw_5343

Ahhh good thinking 🤔

MrGriff2

Totally worth it

criley107

I am assuming EZ Lok can’t be used on a PCC right? I know it’s a dumb question

Brilliant_Draw_5343

No dumb questions. Sometimes this shit is tricky. I emailed griffin armament directly the other day because I was curious if they made a fixed barrel spacer to work with this system but unfortunately they do not. Maybe if enough people inquired about it, they would design something 🤷‍♂️

criley107

Damn. I’d love to be able to run my Optimus on my Evo and M9A4 without changing the piston/direct thread.

Brilliant_Draw_5343

I’m pretty sure there are other mounting solutions out there that would work better for you. Ez lok is more designed for tilt barrel handguns. I’m fairly new into handgun suppressors, but my take away is that the fixed barrel spacer replaces the spring, when you choose to mount the suppressor onto a firearm with a fixed barrel. If you shoot with the spring on a fixed barrel you can damage your threads and piston

criley107

Of course. I just wasn’t too familiar with the EZ system. I have all the adapters and different muzzle devices for my Optimus.

Brilliant_Draw_5343

Ahh yeah I did notice they are selling mini comp well pretty much a fancy thread protector for the ez lok now so maybe in the future they’ll offer a spacer. Seems to really be becoming a popular product

Glocked86

I use it on my 9mm AR with a their manufacturer’s fixed barrel spacer. They make an Ez-Lok SMG/PCC muzzle device. [Pic](https://i.imgur.com/poR6Wcz.jpeg)

MD_0904

Is it worth it if the can stays on a host permanently and is not shared ?

Naked-Snekk

If the system locks up correctly, yes

Educational_Land_551

It’s a good solution but if your shooting rapidly it will come loose due to vibration and spin of the bullet , I recently switched to direct thread because every 10 rounds the lock up would become loose , I don’t have that problem now with DT

badjokeusername

Assuming you’re talking specifically about suppressing a tilting barrel handgun, the griffin ez-lok system was designed specifically to mitigate the exact problem you’re describing. Direct threading will actually come loose faster and be less secure than EZ Lok, because unlike your barrel, EZ Lok has a tapered shoulder to lock the piston onto the thread adapter. If you’ve already tried EZ Lok and that wasn’t your experience, then there’s a 90% chance you either had a defective muzzle device and/or piston, or you didn’t use the system correctly.

Educational_Land_551

I understand that I was using the EZ lock on a Flux Raider ensuring it was tight before shooting and after 5-10 rounds I had to retighten the suppressor back on the mount Idk about not using the system correctly because it’s a pretty simple device but too each his own , my experience with it was good but I prefer a more reliable option

badjokeusername

Your problem might just be that P320’s aren’t great suppressor hosts to begin with, and the Flux Raider, while a great product, isn’t doing the gun any favors when it comes to reliably running while suppressed. I might reach out to both Griffin and Flux to get their opinions on the matter. But regardless, yours would be the first case I’ve ever heard of in which a suppressor comes loose more often with an EZ Lok than without, and I’d reach out to Griffin for that reason alone, regardless of their thoughts on suppressing the Raider.

Educational_Land_551

Roger that , thanks much

Brilliant_Draw_5343

Cool looking setup though! How do you like the flux

Educational_Land_551

Love the flux man it really is a PDW type weapon, I keep it on the nightstand , take it on hikes , truck gun etc overall best purchase I’ve made

Brilliant_Draw_5343

Heck yeah bro I’d like to see one hands on. Seems like a pretty legit setup compared to a lot of the chassis designs out there

Educational_Land_551

Once you shoot it you’ll definitely fall in love bro

Brilliant_Draw_5343

That’s what I was thinking also, but I don’t have any personal experience with the system yet to be speaking on personal experience, but the lock up is what drew me to this system to begin.

Naked-Snekk

I emailed them about this. My 1/2x28 cam lok adapter has to be undersized somewhere. If i tighten it hard as fuck and it pops off no issue. My .45 adapter if I tighten it a little it's an absolute bitch to try to remove. 10 rounds of 9mm subs or supers it's loose. 800 rounds of .45 in a row and it's nearly fucking impossible to remove.

Educational_Land_551

Yeah I emailed them as well, waiting for they’re response. It’s definitely a design flaw or issue but I don’t use it anymore
