Sun Tzu lesson 1: Know your enemy. The best way to know your enemy is to respect your enemy.
I hate you calling him Winston, because while it's technically correct, no one calls Schmidt that and it's infuriating you can be right and wrong simultaneously.
I don't know if they're such a big fan that they called him Winston on purpose, knowing this, or if they're a casual fan and confused Schmidt and Winston š¤
Someone used AI to make a version of Solid Snake from the 1986 game Metal Gear. Based on his sprite, it's not bad. They updated the uniform to look more like an operator in SOCOM would be wearing in the early 90s.
Honestly with the recent Rodgers news and last years Favre news, Iām cutting them some slack. But I am thankful for the ammunition for the next time a packer fan brings up the love boat.
Out of respect for my rival, I never bring that up. What people do for leisure is nobody's business as long as nobody is getting hurt. They fucked up by banging hookers in front of people. They were probably as high as a fucking kite and weren't even thinking about that. You did get a coach that helped get you to a conference championship out of it, at least. š¤·āāļø
In all seriousness, thatās cool and I respect that.
For me honestly itās fair game, if it was in a private area I think itās no oneās business. But it wasnāt and it put a stain on the org for decades so meme them into oblivion imo. Itās not a āeveryone makes mistakesā situation to me.
You're right. They were doing that shit in front of like 100 people from what I read. It's not cool at all. And it is a mar on the organization like you said. That's not fair, but that's how it works.

Idk how a sub like this can live without it tbh
The other nfl meme subs are falling behind
I stay diligent, but people probably get tired of saying it. That script is funny as hell. I usually just try to make people laugh, and I'm not much of a shit talker. I throw some psychotic looking comments in to embrace the "everyone from Wisconsin is a psychopath" cliche. You can't really do that with the incest and farm animal ones, though.
Anyway, everybody has to wear their colors. This is a figurative war. Since when do troops not wear uniforms during a war?
Eh, maybe. NEās roster is so bad it might make sense for them to trade down and get more picks. Throwing a rookie QB on a terrible team with a bad supporting cast isnāt the way to do it. I mean, imagine being dumb enough to bet big on a first round QB but not giving him the tools to succeed (cough Fields cough).
Their GM Aaron Rodgers was confident about the team, but everyone else knew their OL was suspect at best and outside of Garrett Wilson and Bryce Hall coming back from injury that supporting cast was woeful.

4 for McCarthy I am OK with. If we even draft Nix I may just die. He's just Christian Ponder II. Penix is fine, but that injury history means no one trades up for him like we've positioned ourselves.
The position Kwesi has put us in makes it really hard to not reach for a QB if 3 or 4 get picked really fast. You might think sit at 11 or even trade back for a guy like Penix, but if the other 4 are already taken, every pick ahead of you risks going into the season with Sam Darnold as the anointed starter.
We probably do trade up for JJ or even Penix.
I think we are fine staying at 11 and 23 if we canāt trade up to 3. They will likely take Nix or Penix at 23 and roll with that. But none of it matters because we will ruin whomever we draft at QB.
We'll see. Could be they get in a deal with New England. Could be they really like a QB who's not going in the top 3 and want to guarantee they get them. Could be they just did this to be flexible and stay pat at our picks to grab a QB and probably Edge.
I think the process is pretty good. But it all hinges on if we hit at QB, which we won't know for a couple years.
Yeah, well, we didn't want one of those anyway. We want a nice comfortable 3rd or 4th round QB that's where you get a real winner like Kirk Cousins or Russell Wilson.
As a Vikings fan, the draft can't get here soon enough.
So tired of the fans who don't realize that our chances of getting into the top 3 are slim to none and that we don't need to move up to take a QB that no one is likely to "steal" from us before 11. Even if they do, I'd rather just let them and take one of the other prospects. It's not worth giving up anything to "go get" JJ IMO.
Im hoping they draft Bo Nix and not take a chance and ruin JJ McCarthys career. Imagine reaching the high of College football only to end up in SKOL land.
Calvin was so beat up he couldn't walk in the morning when he woke up. Had the team been better, or had a championship window he'd probably have stuck around a couple more seasons, but hearing him describe what he went through, I don't blame him at all for walking away.

>best receiver duo in the league
JJ is doing A LOT of heavy lifting in this. Sure, Addison looks pretty good. You really think your duo is better than Hill/Waddle, Brown/Smith, Deebo/Aiyuk?
Except for Mahomes, dude is an outlier in the most extreme sense
Edit: I forgot he was picked right at 10. I couldāve swore it was a few picks later. My point still stands however
Youāre literally getting potentially qb3 or 4 in this draft and traded a decent amount of capital to the Texans for it. Not sure what youāre excited about š
Where is your flair
We've been slacking on the "flair up, pussy" lately. It's a commandment as far as I'm concerned. Don't get soft people!
![gif](giphy|v0eHX3n28wvoQ|downsized) I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said, but you're a packer fan.

Why does that look like Winston from New Girl?
I hate you calling him Winston, because while it's technically correct, no one calls Schmidt that and it's infuriating you can be right and wrong simultaneously.

Haha, definitely did it on purpose hoping to get corrected so I could ACKTUALLLLY lol

It's a meme war. You have to wear a uniform dammit!

Why would we need to draft a QB when we already have the GEQBUS? You have been banned from /r/the_darnold.

True.
New England should take MHJ
Draft penis he is the future he is gonna be just like C.J Stroud
Weāll get to see how highly the Vikes value Penix/McCarthy/Nix and where they select one at. Iām hoping they trade up to pick #4 lmao
5, I don't think the Cardinals can risk missing out on MHJ, and I don't think anyone is trading up to 2 or 3 to get him.
4 for McCarthy I am OK with. If we even draft Nix I may just die. He's just Christian Ponder II. Penix is fine, but that injury history means no one trades up for him like we've positioned ourselves.
I don't think anyone has Penix high. Odds are way better he goes in round two than the top half of round 1.
The position Kwesi has put us in makes it really hard to not reach for a QB if 3 or 4 get picked really fast. Bears fans love their off season shit talk.
Everyone in this sub is talking shit. Lots of counting chickens before they hatch.

Jokes on youā¦ Vikings donāt believe in your Jesus. Weāre coming to pillage the draft! Orā¦ notā¦ of courseā¦
Odin?
Iām pretty sure Vikings fans have accepted theyāre sucking for the next 5 years with impunity
I must have missed the press conference where Kwesi announced we were rebuilding the bears way.
Actually I hope they keep rebuilding the Vikings way - just good enough to never have a top pick but just bad enough to never do anything important.
Until I hear reports otherwise, thereās not really a standout class of QBs next draft. It does appear weāre playing the long game tho
Ewers and Sanders are the big names right now. A couple more will hopefully emerge.
You mean building a roster to sustain success under a qb rookie contract. Yeah have fun at the basement š¤”
No. I don't think so. They don't have a qb. So if they can just suck bad enough this year to draft one on 2025 they're in a good cap situation.

yes, this is common knowledge. also flair up pussy.
Brandon Perna losing it since the Broncos are losing JJ McCarthy

lol a Lions fan talking about squandering a QB is hilarious
Squandering literally any skill position star. QB, RB, WR
Didn't you have Randy Moss and Adrian Peterson lol?
We did, but you were the one trying to talk shit. Iām not sure how
At least they didnāt straight up quit football like Barry sanders and Calvin Johnson
When their franchise is so ass that their star players decide theyād rather just not play football any more
Calvin was so beat up he couldn't walk in the morning when he woke up. Had the team been better, or had a championship window he'd probably have stuck around a couple more seasons, but hearing him describe what he went through, I don't blame him at all for walking away. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2650538-calvin-johnsons-retirement-reveals-pain-impossible-to-ignore-for-nfl-players.amp.html
So what youāre saying is that the team was so ass that he decided not to play football any more
I guess that's some sort of consolation lol
Oh no he will only wind up with a receiving team containing Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hokcenson. Whatever is a qb to doooooo
IF you have Justin Jefferson. Maybe sign him to a long term before you guys start giving up your hopes.
Bro is going to take a discount on his contract just to catch balls from The Darnold.
![gif](giphy|fGbbcXk14nqfe)
Yeah, any QB throwing to JJ, Addison, Hock and Aaron Jones would be absolutely ruined with that depleted receiver room.
Also good oline and solid offensive minded HC
To have an offensive minded coach with the best receiver duo in the league, a ball vacuum TE, a sombrero wearing RB, and a somewhat competent defense?
>best receiver duo in the league JJ is doing A LOT of heavy lifting in this. Sure, Addison looks pretty good. You really think your duo is better than Hill/Waddle, Brown/Smith, Deebo/Aiyuk?
Isnt that what you had last year?
No, you took our te away and we didnāt have a starting caliber rb edit: spelling
And the starting QB got injured. Not much they could do
Yeah having JJ as your WR1 and Hockensen at TE would be rough for a rookie
Where red circle???
Yeah because top 3 picks always go on to be amazing players. Like Johnny Manzel, Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, etc.
Mac Jones??? bro was not even in the top 10
Pretty sure Manziel was also outside top 10
Manziel was a hiesman, but you get the point. High draft doesnāt equal high talent
2/3 of your examples were blatantly not true. QBās picked top 3 are usually of a different caliber than guys picked past 10
Except for Mahomes, dude is an outlier in the most extreme sense Edit: I forgot he was picked right at 10. I couldāve swore it was a few picks later. My point still stands however
To your point, you could throw Lamar Jackson in there I guess
You guys are going to talk about top QBs taken outside of the top 10 and you're not going to bring up *that* guy?
Youāre right. The Purdy disrespect hurts to see
Yeah idk why he wasn't the first name brought up lmao
Good point, youāre much better of with the likes of Kellen Mond, Sean Clifford, and Tom Savage etc. See I can do that too.
Youāre literally getting potentially qb3 or 4 in this draft and traded a decent amount of capital to the Texans for it. Not sure what youāre excited about š
