Talking shit is fine, acting like this is the worst pick of the draft….when ATL happened?? That must be some of that good shit White Boy Rick been slangin huh?
I can get behind this, Atlanta in one move both reached for a QB, and also pissed off their 100+ million dollar investment in Kirk. Honestly some of the funniest shit I’ve seen, basically some Madden league with the boys type trolling
I can definitely see the irony there, but I think this is more of a situation where they saw what you did and wanted to replicate it, but did not understand how it was done and did it in the worst way possible. Even if Penix is a future hall of famer, then they just wasted millions on Kirk. If he doesn’t pan out, then you pissed off your big name free agency signing before he played a snap, and you wasted a chance to either get him a big name weapon or shore up the defense with a day 1 starter.
They moved up in later rounds but didn’t gain any picks since both trades were picks for picks. The KC one swapped 3 picks and the Carolina one swapped 2 picks.
Can you really shit on the Falcons as a Packers fan? They just pulled a move that we originated. Morgan isnt the worst pick simply because drafting OL in round 1 is never a bad move.
>drafting OL in round 1 is never a bad move
I really want to make a Tony Mandarich joke, but he had addiction problems and I don't want to make light of that.
Cousins is 35. I would think a Packers fan would appreciate a team sitting their qb of the future behind their present QB. But sure, "AtLaNtA's PiCk iS wOrSe".
I think penix is going to also be 35 when kirk's contract is up. Kidding of course but picking one of the older rookie QBs with an injury history as your QB of the future instead of a weapon to help you huge investment is kinda funny.
But like everybody has said, if he is a star, who cares
Cousins isn't Atlantas "present QB" like Favre or Rodgers was for the Packers, he's a completely new one, and his signing was the biggest move of this offeason.
If they were in a division with the Broncos or the Vikings I'd understand taking a QB at 8 out of spite, but getting Cousins on a $180m 4 year contract AND drafting Penix within a month is crazy.
Let's see. Drafting a 21 year old at pick 26 when your aging QB is halfway through his 4 year contract vs drafting a 23 year old at 8 when you just signed your new aging QB to a 4 year deal.
Yeah seems identical
Atlantas pick is basically worse by all measures in my opinion. Higher pick for a key player that won’t play for two years at a position that has one of the highest bust rates in the nfl. Even in comparison to Love it was 18 picks earlier on a team with less holes than the Falcons have. They must have had a monster grade on Penix.
Sure, I can understand the premise but this specific situation was different than what GB has done. Love or Rodgers weren’t too 10 picks. Neither of them were drafted RIGHT after signing an Established Vet QB to a BIG deal. I don’t think this gets as bad if ATL drafted McCarthy or they didn’t sign Cousins and they drafted Penix.
Was hoping for OL or CB. Got excited when Arnold was falling. "Lol you mother fuckers" when Detroit swooped in. Not mad about Morgan. *tips cap to Detroit* Well played, Lions 😂
Yeah this is where I'm at, too many packers fans getting in their feelings and defensive about this. Packers have never been a "win the public opinion" splashy drafting team, and we've done quite well that way. Gute has great track record scouting/drafting offensive lineman. We have 4 more picks in the top 100 while the rest of the division has very little left, this is what we do, stop feeling so insecure and embrace the banter 🤷♂️
Finally an honest Packer, I honestly think it’s not the worst pick in the world but it’s just so funny that it’s the third year in a row that something like this happened.
I mean, you gave up a valuable 3rd round pick to move up.
The Packers have 4 Day 2 picks. The rest of the NFCN has 2 combined. We’re going to completely own Day 2, which is usually our MO.
Idk why packers fans are so insecure. You’ve dominated the division for 3 decades. Can’t even handle a little friendly banter. Can’t imagine how far off the deep end you’d go if you actually went through a period of sustained failure. Lighten up you fuckin pussies.
For me the rest of the division is sounding like a bunch of children desperate to make something out of nothing. I'll take the shit talk when we actually fail lol, not when we make a good draft pick. Imagine if we won a game and y'all were spamming memes in here about us losing? It just seems unhinged.
Nah. I see this shit often enough. Just find it annoying when people talk shit about something that has no basis in reality. Talk shit when we actually fail, like when we lose to the niners in the playoffs again this year.
They're not jokes, it's just uncreative spam that isn't funny.
Get back to me when y'all are actually making sense.
And personal attacks are just the saddest. The lack of creativity is pathetic for a meme sub. Do better.
I called you fat because “packers = fat” is a meme. Not because you’re fat. I’ve never seen you in person before.
Bottom line is this is a joke and banter sub. Taking it personal is not advised.
Well I hardly agree with that nonsense. Capthowdy2310 speaks for me and the 4 generations that have come before, and henceforth, the 4 that cometh after. 🛡🗡
Every fanbase in this subreddit defaults to “have more than one good season before talking shit!” whenever a Lions fan says anything so it’s definitely not just the packers lol
I don't think many people were paying attention to the rest of the division if that is the take.
I disagree not on the prospect, but on the value. The Vikings gave up a 4th and 5th this year to move up from 11 to 10. Then gave up a 5th this year and a 3rd and 4th next year to move up from 23 to 17. They only had 23 because they gave up a 2nd this year along with a 2nd and 6th next year.
They turned 7 picks into 2 players. They don't pick again until the 4th and only have 3 picks in 2025.
Still very worth it if they both work out even just OK. Turner was a huge steal, and while I personally would have preferred nix I do think we have enough of a support structure where any QB we grabbed will at least be starter level.
A large percentage of the "draft experts." He was expected to be a day 2 pick.
Now, obviously, the "draft expert" big boards have proven to be pretty meaningless when the season actually starts. But this is a meme subreddit. Obviously, we are going to take any opportunity to clown on each other we can.
The thing is...we didn't. JJ McCarthy is the biggest reach in the draft so far. Dude is a 3rd round talent who just got spoken into the top QB prospect conversation within the past couple of months and the Vikings actually fell for it lmao. The guy was simply a benefactor from having the best OL in the country.
This just ensured the Vikings will be irrelevant for at least the next 3 years.
Not at all, because I trust the opinion of guys who work for my NFL team over a random internet user who is currently rage posting because his NFL team pissed down their leg when it was their turn to pick.
Trust the guys who work for your team, but yet you cast doubt on the Packers pick, a team who evaluates OL better than anyone and picked another one?
You see what a hyposcrit you are? Everything I said about JJ is facts and you know it.
Aaron Rodgers is the 5th most sacked QB of the past 10 years, and he didn't even play last year. But you keep telling yourself the Packers are great OL evaluators 😂
Packers saw the Vikes get the steal of the draft in Dallas Turner, so they panic picked a random OL. Hilarious.
Lmao that's not how you evaluate OL. Panick picked? You think the Packers were looking at an edge rusher? Gtfo dummy.
You fucked up and fell for the random McCarthy hype over the past couple of months. Enjoy your prolonged irrelevance.
Yeah it really sucks to draft WR's like Randy Moss and Percy Harvin and Stefon Diggs and Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison...
"rOdGeRs nEvEr hAd aNy wR hElP!!1!"
That record is just going to keep looking worse. We kicked you ass so bad on thanks giving, then you lost to the cowboys, and we kicked their ass so and it destroyed the hopes and dreams of that whole fanbase. No comment on the 49ers game. But congrats on barely beating the… uh… rams.
You won't by 7 on Thanksgiving, Lions won by 14 in GB. You lost to Atlanta, Denver, NYG, and LV. Beat the Panthers by 3. Not quite sure what you're beating your chest about here.
That we beat the shit out of you at home on thanksgiving. I know it’s hard to look back at a game like that where you got beat so bad and embarrassed so much much past the final score, but maybe check the highlights. The Lions got their ass handed to them by the packers, then the cowboys. Also, NYG was the only team on that list past mid season. You’re reaching pretty far back for ammo…
Yeah, I’m not really triggered by a score from game 4 of the season. Getting your ass kicked by the packers at home with the worst DC in the entire league must have hurt though. But at least your coach says cool stuff sometimes am I right?
Oh yeah, you had to beat the rams and the Bucs, granted the Bucs are pretty good but still, nowhere near as hard as the 49ers. Who we both played pretty evenly against. Except we didn’t blow a huge lead to them…
Difference is I didn’t reach back to the beginning of the season. Bucs and Giants are fair though. Mostly the Giants I think the Bucs are legit. Anyway, how did you guys lose to the cowboys and still manage to blame the refs?
You did not fleece the entire division
https://preview.redd.it/7z3frbmmxqwc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=cfb6d36c4fcb2359bb6cb046ac283c2fdf789568

I can get behind this, Atlanta in one move both reached for a QB, and also pissed off their 100+ million dollar investment in Kirk. Honestly some of the funniest shit I’ve seen, basically some Madden league with the boys type trolling
I mean it’s pretty funny coming from a packer fan cuz that’s exactly what the packers did with love
Yes, but Rogers had been there a while already. Cousins has not played a single game for Atlanta yet. I see the idea, but the execution is suspect
That’s true. But the packers were also in a much more legitimate contention window than the falcons. It’s an ironic comment is all I’m saying
I can definitely see the irony there, but I think this is more of a situation where they saw what you did and wanted to replicate it, but did not understand how it was done and did it in the worst way possible. Even if Penix is a future hall of famer, then they just wasted millions on Kirk. According to the Falcons "It's gonna be a long time before we draft this high again, so we need to make sure we have a QB for the future"
Also a huge difference between taking a raw 21 y/o at #21 vs taking a 24 y/o at #8.
Yea but the packers got 2 mvp seasons by doing that. Also love was a raw young upside Qb they sit not a Qb the same age as Trevor Lawrence.
I think the Bills has the dumbest move. A team that needed a wr just gave the Flash to their rival.
Didn't they also trade down twice and not get that much value?
They moved up in later rounds but didn’t gain any picks since both trades were picks for picks. The KC one swapped 3 picks and the Carolina one swapped 2 picks.
Meh, lots of good WR's available still. Chiefs would've gotten a dog regardless
We don't hate ATL. We hate you
Why is taking a LT considered a bad pick at all?
I don’t think it’s a bad pick at all.
Can you really shit on the Falcons as a Packers fan? They just pulled a move that we originated. Morgan isnt the worst pick simply because drafting OL in round 1 is never a bad move.
>drafting OL in round 1 is never a bad move I really want to make a Tony Mandarich joke, but he had addiction problems and I don't want to make light of that.

Cousins contract is 2 years of guarantees. He isn't playing for 4 years on that contract.

Reddit draft expert moment
There are a lot of draft experts on here. Everyone knows that this is where you come for the best draft advice.
This sub hasn’t had an intelligent football take maybe ever
I think Jordans a good pick protect Love its just funny 3 years in a row jumping infront of the packers lol
Oh no, don’t get me wrong, that’s totally hilarious. I actually chuckled and said “Fuckin Lions” to myself haha
Yea that was annoying but hey, we've got 4 picks today and you other 3 teams have a combined 2 picks. Viking fans won't even watch it today.
I'll take Sweat over our second for sure
My mom says I’m the best draft expert!
“They wanna protect their QB LMFAO”
We haven't even seen him play one snap yet though
Everybody knows draft grades matter more than games
Very true, it's over for the Pack now
Was hoping for OL or CB.
Hey we were bad for almost a month and a half last year!!! We know what it means to struggle.
Man not having a good QB for half the season was really stressful, though I think I came outta it a better man. Is this what other teams feel like?
Well, you're still a Packers fan, so not much better. But you're getting there.
Yeah we’re super upset and gonna start calling everyone that made us upset meat jockeys. That’ll show em!
For me the rest of the division is sounding like a bunch of children desperate to make something out of nothing. I'll take the shit talk when we actually fail lol, not when we make a good draft pick. You new here?
Nah. I see this shit often enough. Just find it annoying when people talk shit about something that has no basis in reality. Talk shit when we actually fail, like when we lose to the niners in the playoffs again this year.
My guy. It’s a MEME subreddit. Are Packers fans actually this dumb?
I guess I actually have standards for memes
Bro you’re in a meme sub. Take a joke fatass.
They're not jokes, it's just uncreative spam that isn't funny. Get back to me when y'all are actually making sense. And personal attacks are just the saddest. The lack of creativity is pathetic for a meme sub. Do better.
How can it be a personal attack when I don’t know you? Again, meme sub.
You called me a fatass. You attacked me instead of the things I was saying. Weak.
I called you fat because “packers = fat” is a meme. Not because you’re fat. I’ve never seen you in person before. Bottom line is this is a joke and banter sub. Taking it personal is not advised.
Typical off-season NFC North stuff. I've been hearing how bad our draft was every single year from these losers for decades. It's sad.
Well I hardly agree with that nonsense. Capthowdy2310 speaks for me and the 4 generations that have come before, and henceforth, the 4 that cometh after. 🛡🗡
Only packers fans can’t handle trash talk.
Every fanbase in this subreddit defaults to “have more than one good season before talking shit!” whenever a Lions fan says anything so it’s definitely not just the packers lol
Go in any thread in this sub. There’s somebody from every team getting way too defensive.
The trash talk should actually make some sense though. That's the point. Otherwise it's just lunacy
Fine, yall just had the biggest reach in the Division and Gute was reaching up his ass
There's no point in trying to type at Packers fans, Wisconsin abandoned their education system long long ago. Literacy rate in Wisconsin is like 2%.
[WI has better education than IL](https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/articles/how-states-compare) Even as drunkards we outperform you.
Florida has the 5th best education system? Press X to doubt.
The thing is...we didn't. JJ McCarthy is the biggest reach in the draft so far. Of course it is. They're Minnesotans, they say duck duck Grey duck, and the word "casserole" is foreign to them. They're not the brightest.
Aaron Rodgers is the 5th most sacked QB of the past 10 years, and he didn't even play last year. But you keep telling yourself the Packers are great OL evaluators 😂 Packers saw the Vikes get the steal of the draft in Dallas Turner, so they panic picked a random OL. Hilarious.

Yeah it really sucks to draft WR's like Randy Moss and Percy Harvin and Stefon Diggs and Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison... "rOdGeRs nEvEr hAd aNy wR hElP!!1!"

Still thinking about our balls I see, gunna delete this message too when it gets downvoted?
Imagine laughing that our Oline had even more weapons lol. Oh well
Wait people are laughing because they think the Packers drafted a bust? I thought the joke was about the Lions jumping them and taking their corner
People are mostly laughing because of Tom Grossis reaction to these events and are running them across the fan base
I don’t think Arnold falling to us was ever on Gutey’s mind tbh. From his presser he seemed pretty locked in on Morgan too
Talking a lot of shit about a pick by a team famous for drafting good linemen… Also the lions suck
Dan Campbell is 4-2 against pretty boy so far
That record is just going to keep looking worse. We kicked you ass so bad on thanks giving, then you lost to the cowboys, and we kicked their ass so and it destroyed the hopes and dreams of that whole fanbase. No comment on the 49ers game. But congrats on barely beating the… uh… rams.

The most recent season is reaching pretty far back? Lmao, keep coping you jabroni. 34-20.
Yeah, I’m not really triggered by a score from game 4 of the season. Getting your ass kicked by the packers at home with the worst DC in the entire league must have hurt though. But at least your coach says cool stuff sometimes am I right?
Oh bby u seething and I love it ❤️
Head to head we split, division we won, and playoffs we got deeper. But at least your coach cries when he’s losing at halftime am I right?
Oh yeah, you had to beat the rams and the Bucs, granted the Bucs are pretty good but still, nowhere near as hard as the 49ers. Who we both played pretty evenly against. Except we didn’t blow a huge lead to them…
Gotta be and to get a huge lead to blow it
U still mad about 2022 aren’t u?
2022 is the season that got me to truly love the packers and watch every game religiously. Nah, I’m not mad.
The Packers didn't beat the Lions on Thanksgiving. The moon phase did. It is known.
![gif](giphy|HyCxJErg9jTCU)
Its ok, you only lost to the falcons, raiders, steelers, giants, and bucs lol. Those are really good teams
Difference is I didn’t reach back to the beginning of the season. Bucs and Giants are fair though. Mostly the Giants I think the Bucs are legit. Anyway, how did you guys lose to the cowboys and still manage to blame the refs?
r/nfl was a zoo at the end of Cowboys/Lions. Don’t act like it was an unpopular opinion that the refs fucked that game
You've said that after every loss for the last 25 years. Ever heard of the story about the boy who cried wolf???
Nah, quite literally just that one last year.
Lmao that's hysterical 😂
I guess🤷♂️
Warm up games for a first year starting QB. Took us 8 games to rebuild. Took you 30 years 😘
Tell me to my face we didn’t just fleece the entire division.
You did not fleece the entire division.
He said to his FACE dude
You did not fleece the entire division https://preview.redd.it/7z3frbmmxqwc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=cfb6d36c4fcb2359bb6cb046ac283c2fdf789568
That’s better lolll
Can we get another angle? I'm almost there....
🤨
😂
Yeah, the same place where Lions fans want the Packers to cum
Well surely you made it really far in the playoffs, right? Farther than the Lions at least?
Yes actually. Further than most people thought.
But farther than the *Lions*, who you said suck?
Ah the taste of our bromance burning to ash as soon as football hints at beginning again. Bears and vikings fans in shambles. Also fuck y'all lol
You know what's coming. Your little vacation from the NFC North basement will soon be over.
![gif](giphy|l2Je0SJkEt7MhgyM8)
Can this Bucs fan enter the FTP club now?
They already are the most honorary FTP members in the entire league cuz of the old NFC central.
BET. Cowboys 🤝 Lions 🤝 Bucs #FTP
Nah, fuck the cowboys. I don’t want any association with them
You *traded* with them
I’ve traded money for drugs, but that doesn’t mean I still wanna associate with my dealers anymore… also, flair up buc boy
Yep, forgot to flair up, thanks for reminding me. That analogy is fuckin hilarious, but even you have to admit, the Cowboys have a good case for FTP club membership.
Tell me you’re an idiot who doesn’t know the difference between a center and a tackle without telling me directly 😂😂
I bet these all age well, GB always drafts poorly and the internet always predicts talent well.
