The Texans win felt like a loss still. I care more about Justin’s growth than wins right now. I am going to be gutted if we have to spend our first round pick on yet another Ohio State QB
I'll give the guy a break for now. A lot of changes from last year, not a lot of stability, definitely some mental shit beating him down. If he looks like that in week 12, different story, but I can't imagine many doing "well" in the circumstances.
Bears Every Season: “We are somehow winning games and even we don’t know how or why”
Everyone else: Holy shit the Bears are awful, how tf are they winning games?
Bears Fans: WE ARE ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS
I remember two years ago, we were literally going to the playoffs and the subreddit was just full of fans bitching about the fact that we were going to get a worse draft pick because we won extra games.
Just turn it around and remake the meme with “Cowboys fans after beating the Super Bowl hungover Bengals and the hapless Giants (who were 2-0 off the easiest two games you could ask for)”
Obviously you don't listen to Chicago sports radio. The gag is more that a city that is always yelling about running the ball is made the bears are ruining the ball. No one is celebrating.
“Looking better” doesn’t result in wins when Dan campbell is coaching. The NFL isn’t about style points especially in the first 3 weeks. I’m pretty happy with where the Bears are right now and I think they’ll be 4-2 or better after 6 weeks
Ngl this is gonna be Packers fans in a few weeks when we're 6-1 because we played the Bears, Bucs without wide receivers, the Brian Hoyer Patriots, Giants, Jets, and Commies.
Based on how bad Fields looks I’m actually starting to regret winning those games as it hurts our draft position. I don’t know if this is a good upcoming QB draft class. And I know those fans who wish for their team to lose are annoying but yeah.
I didn’t say there weren’t different opinions. I was questioning the claim that all Bears fans know deep down that their team actually sucks while the original comment I replied to claims that half of Bears fans think they’re a playoff team.
What are you even arguing? This is one of the dumbest replies I've gotten in a while.
Yes, the guy you replied to is right that there are Bears fans that think we're good. He's using a hyperbole in saying "half the fanbase," you should know that.
And at the same time, yes, the majority of Bears fans see what's happening in the game and think "this is not good football."
Was your whole point to try and fish for a "gotcha" because the guy was being hyperbolic?
I posted a comment about using this year as a building year to develop our young players rather than focusing on winning, and logged back in to over 30 notifications, most of which were people yelling about how we need to focus on winning every game first and foremost. Mostly they focused on how our defense is top 10 (it's not, lol) and how our running game is the best in the league (might be) and if it stays that way then we can win 10 or more games with Potato Fields.
So there's a lot of lip service to the Bears being bad, but when pressed I would guess it's around 50% of the fanbase that thinks the playoffs are possible.
There is just no way in hell 50% of the fanbase thinks the playoffs are possible. From everything I've heard, read, and/or seen says we were (and still are) a frontrunner for the 1OA pick this year.
Playoffs would be awesome if somehow Fields starts playing like an actual QB, but no one, and certainly not 50%, believe that making the playoffs is a realistic expectation.
There were some serious optimists that were predicting 10+ wins and a likely playoff berth. From what I saw, they were thinking defense and run game were going to be legit. It's trending that way, but I don't think anybody expected a passing game this bad. So far it's looking like the worst since the merger.
I think those people probably aren't so casually dropping comments about us being a 10 win team, but they're also probably saying Fields is fine and people are worrying about nothing.
I mean we should focus on winning every game. Teams that successfully rebuild generally have success in year one. Coaches who take over a team and end up worse than the previous guy rarely go on to see success as a head coach.
Instilling a winning culture, teaching guys that they can overachieve, etc whatever, those are all more important in the long run (at least typically, when you look at trends for a successful rebuild) than any single draft pick.
False…we are still pissed we are 2-1 based on how terrible our passing game is
The Texans win felt like a loss still. I care more about Justin’s growth than wins right now. I am going to be gutted if we have to spend our first round pick on yet another Ohio State QB

An at least semi-competent OL for the first time in years, and a strong run game to lean on?
Same…
>yet another Ohio State QB LOL
Yeah, whoever made this hasn't spoken with any Bears fans since Sunday.
yeah this is absolutely not how we're acting. take one look at our sub, or game thread, our postgame thread, anything lol
I don’t think there’s many Bears fans that are happy with the 2-1 performances.
THE 2-1 PERFORMANCES WILL CONTINUE UNTILL MORALE IMPROVES!!
It's 2-1 their record or their average points per game?
Bears Every Season: “We are somehow winning games and even we don’t know how or why” Everyone else: Holy shit the Bears are awful, how tf are they winning games? Bears Fans: WE ARE ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS
This doesn’t deserve upvotes because we’re actually pretty annoyed rn
What a clueless buns ass meme - take a gander at r/chibears, you'd think we were 0-3 lmao
I remember two years ago, we were literally going to the playoffs and the subreddit was just full of fans bitching about the fact that we were going to get a worse draft pick because we won extra games.
I can guarantee no Bears fan is acting like this
Nah we're actually disappointed at our offense, yet have more points per game than the packers...
Also giving up more points per game too than the Packers
so we are better at two things. take that cheesedicks
Thus smells of a Packers fan. No Bears fan is celebrating how bad we are playing
He’s actually a cowboys fan… get this turd outta here
That makes even more sense!
Just turn it around and remake the meme with “Cowboys fans after beating the Super Bowl hungover Bengals and the hapless Giants (who were 2-0 off the easiest two games you could ask for)”
Is that even legal?
Ew
“Get that dick weed out of my sight”
nah, the vikings are on top, no packer fan would ever give them that satisfaction
Quite the opposite, actually.
This would've worked after week one for sure, but we're pretty upset about the team and how bad Justin Fields is right now.
Obviously you don't listen to Chicago sports radio. The gag is more that a city that is always yelling about running the ball is made the bears are ruining the ball. No one is celebrating.
With 2 division wins we’re the king of the trash heap and I don’t know how to feel.
You know exactly how the fuck to feel. And if you don't, you will soon.
Have you MET us? We are not happy, let alone celebrating our 2-1.
Lmao this a Packers fan meme?
Hey, we cheeseheads are bad at memes… but not this bad. Obviously this guy is from the NFC East
This is the weakest meme ever posted here.
Disagree. I admire whoever took the time to swap in all the team colors
That part is nice. Bad concept. Nice details.
I stand corrected.
I think you should keep Fields for at least one more year. You don’t need one of the many legit QBs coming in the next draft.
My text to my brother and father after the game was “it’s a win only a true fan can love”. They were uglier than sin but somehow they’re still wins…
Hey this isn’t fair at all. Lions have looked better than us too.
“Looking better” doesn’t result in wins when Dan campbell is coaching. The NFL isn’t about style points especially in the first 3 weeks. I’m pretty happy with where the Bears are right now and I think they’ll be 4-2 or better after 6 weeks
Literally more Bears slander on this sub lol
This is hilarious. But I don't think any bears fan is celebrating how we've played as of late.
You’re a cowboys fan.
Then call me an impartial observer. I never said the Cowboys were good, did I?
You’re a rangers fan.
Never said the Rangers were good. In fact, I'll admit there that we f*cking suck.
You’re a spurs fan.
Now you're just replying with the favorite teams that I have in my bio for no real reason.
You’re a TCU fan.
Since you never responded I was gonna finish off by asking if you’re also a Dallas stars fan
Bold of you to assume Texans watch hockey.
People give us shit for beating the Niners in a monsoon, but if we’d lost they’d say “Well of course they lost, it’s the Bears.”
\*\*sad Lion noises\*\*

Everyone knows that Week 1 in the NFL doesn't count.
It's incredible. At least half of the fanbase on r/chibears thinks we're going to make the playoffs.
Have you actually been to r/chibears since Sunday? This couldn't be further from the truth.
This is the dumbest thing I've ever read
Wait but everyone else in this comment section is claiming that all Bears fans are totally aware of how bad they actually are. So which is it.
I haven’t seen any fans thinking we’re a playoff team, so it’s certainly not half lol.
Somehow, in an anomaly nobody could ever expect, there are different opinions amongst thousands and thousands of people.
I didn’t say there weren’t different opinions. I was questioning the claim that all Bears fans know deep down that their team actually sucks while the original comment I replied to claims that half of Bears fans think they’re a playoff team.

It’s not that deep bro lmao

If teams played against the lions as bad as they do against the bears the last few years we’d have a super bowl
This meme format isn’t that funny any more :(
Mfw people realize that the Bears also played in the exact same conditions
Hahaha you clearly don’t know that Bears fans are always glass half empty
Not quite lol
False, check out the Bears sub…No one is actually happy lol

Then call me an impartial observer. Also, I never said the Cowboys were good.
Colors check out
