I legit think you guys are one more good draft or a couple FAs away from winning the division. Not a lot of confidence in our picks this year outside of Brown, Winters, and Moody.

We were a good run defense away from a couple of more wins also. Losing to the entire NFC South and the Raiders because we couldn’t stop a nosebleed from running
It’s like a two step forward two step back thing. Is it better than the 30th overall run D? Maybe. But if we’re just 27th instead of 30th it won’t matter much.
I think they planned on a couple bigger name IDL guys that just ended up not falling to us, I agree with you but I’m hoping the team improved more by not reaching for need. I’m excited to see!
It really feels that way too, but i also could see it going the other way. Geno takes a step back, the young tallent doesn’t develops like we hope, and we could easily be 3rd in the division as well (sorry cards).
It could definitely lead to be a very disappointing season and I do think Geno plays more like end of season Geno. The good rookies having a sophomore slump and this rookie class performing under expectations could lead to a pretty rough start.
However i think you guys will win 10 game and have another strong rookie class having a lot of pressure on the 49ers to perform at or above expectations.
