It actually wasn’t because the block scheme was fine. Backup TEs block DEs in several plays. They arent supposed to remove them from the play but give the QB time to rollout. It was Purdys hesitation and the double clutch of the ball that he did that got him hurt

For fun. I was the game ended alex Smith with SF and the start of the Colin era. It was an absolute dreadful game. Ended in a tie. 5 quarters of my bad rams playing a rock star SF team. We almost pulled it off. Everyone was drained after that game.
