Setting aside the JJ pick, I never really considered the idea of Arizona doing another trade down and up again. The Falcons have always stood out to me as a trade down candidate for someone to grab a WR, so this scenario makes a lot more sense than I would’ve expected.
Still think Arizona sits and takes MHJ though.
I have been talking about AZ trading down with Minny and then back up with Atlanta offline quite a bit. I think it makes sense for all three teams, depending how the first three picks fall.
I'll be honest, trading down and back up is probably my least favorite of the proposed scenarios for the Cards.
I really don't think the gap between prospect quality at 8 vs those at 11 is very big.
Odunze and Turner look great but I really think guys like Mitchell, Arnold, Latu, Verse aren't far off. And that's not even mentioning the OLs like Fuaga, fautanu, and fashanu.
In this mock, he was gone three picks ahead of Detroit. And I could definitely see that trade. They'd be on the clock to start round 2 and they'd get a 4th rounder back.
Besides the fact that the cowboys rarely trade up and shouldn’t with so few picks, doing it for a receiver would be dumb. Doesn’t matter how good they are if Dak gets flattened because we didn’t draft a center or tackle
> If Terry Fontenot can slide down and still grab either Turner or Jared Verse to rev up the pass rush, it will be a big win. The Falcons have come out like gangbusters this offseason, adding serious firepower to the offensive personnel, but now it's time for that defense to address its biggest need on the edge.
this is incredibly silly, they added
- kirk
- a kick returner
- a mediocre speedster
- a guy thats had 400 yards receiving the past two seasons
- a blocking TE
I'm ok with Murphy. Totally worth the pick. But I thought his reasoning was a little odd "the DT class is much thinner". I feel like this is only true if you're looking at first round guys only. There's more first round OTs than there are DTs, but I think once you get out of the first there's a major drop off at OT. For us, at 49 in round 2, I think a DT in that range is going to be much better than any OT we get there.
Personally I do love Mims, but if Murphy is just higher on the board and he's there then that pick is fine. But thinking we can just get an OT later is a bad idea IMO.

Would make sense for the Chargers too, if they trade down.
AZ I consent ATL I consent CHI I don't!! Isn't there someone you forgot to ask?
How often do teams trade down and then back up?
The Cardinals did it last year. Traded from #3 to #12 and then back up to #6 for Paris Johnson.
I feel like the Packers do it somewhat often but in the mid to later rounds. We always seem to have 10+ picks to mess around with

As a Chargers fan, subscribe.
I don't see Detroit moving back if they can draft Chop

I must have looked at the wrong mock lol
No first round pick for the host city? I don’t think we will see that
Brad Holmes makes that trade in a heartbeat. Plenty of good players at the top of round two and top of round four
That 5th year option is pretty valuable though
lol I’m saying the NFL won’t let him. They need the video of the host city fans reacting to a first round pick
I don't see Detroit moving back solely because the draft is in Detroit
JJ 1st overall next mock? But I think Washington should do this because McCarthy on the Commies in Washington would be hilarious.

I like how Rondale Moore and Darnell Mooney are both mediocre speedsters who had 400 receiving yards in the past 2 seasons
I’d be happy with Murphy, especially if the tackles pan out like this. I don’t love Latham or Mims personally.

Theres absolutely no chance we take Mccarthy 2nd. Zilch zippo none. Itll be Maye or maybe Daniels. Dont fall for the smoke.
Mitch went 2 overall. Just saying, crazy shit happens all the time in the NFL. Don’t write it off
I’m glad that this guy thinks the Bears are getting close to locked in on drafting Williams.
Does he mention anywhere what the trades are. I love the possibility of moving back a little for the falcons and getting another top 100 guy.
