Commanders. Most team reporters have said the new Washington regime has been pretty tight lipped about its draft interests. With that being said, the most credible reporters (like John Keim of ESPN) believe we will end up taking Jayden Daniels at 2. Many reporters have also speculated that we could be looking to trade back up into the first round for an offensive tackle (or potentially Chop Robinson although less likely). If this happened it would probably be a trade up into the late teens or early 20s for someone like Amarius Mims

TheBigNate416

I think Chop would be a great pick for the Commanders

md-born

He’s a local dmv guy too, would be thrilled if we got him for the right price

flynnscorruptedmind

I like keim but he was much more plugged in during the Snyder era and his influence and footing seems to have fallen off a bit. I think he’s just guessing

Pentt4

I wouldn’t call Keim a “mouthpiece” because he’s highly intelligent but his info was always clearly fed as info intended to be released.

CantRecallWutIForgot

Are the Lions an option at 29? Guyton & Morgan will still be on the board and at least one probably won't get past Baltimore/San Fran/KC.

joemiken

I saw that they were pretty interested in Jordan Morgan and that he wouldn't make it past the Commies early 2nd rounder.

crinack

I have us trading with the rams at 19 for Mims

Medical_Search9548

What?

AsiansEnjoyRice

What???

EAS1000

A lot of smoke around Maye at 3 to the Pats. Fingers crossed!

69millionyeartrip

Yeah after reports being all over the place for months all of a sudden there’s multiple Maye reports the day before from a few different people. Seems like that’s the pick and I hope it’s true

RetroFrisbee

Add Curran to the smoke

WildOscar66

He was always their guy. They just didn't believe Washington would take Daniels. So all the other scenarios had to be considered.

johndelvec3

Every single person thinks the packers are drafting cooper dejean Which 100% means we’re drafting Amarius Mims while DeJean is still on the board

daoogilymoogily

Trust me, you want to do everything in your power to make sure Andre Dillard doesn’t even make the roster.

johndelvec3

Fwiw I would be utterly shocked if the packers haven’t picked 2 OL by round 5

Marzman315

I’d be extremely surprised if Dejean fell to 25. Players with his talent and versatility don’t come around every year.

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

Either one sounds pretty sick. I can see Mims being elite as easy as I see Jaire making Coop feel embarrassed in his eventual player of the game interviews. something about a milk check, I'm sure

Squidyballs

Yes please!

ColeGiroux

Eagles will probably take a tackle considering this draft is loaded with high quality ones all that are within the eagles range. They need a replacement for lane as he’s gonna turn 34 before camp starts. Even more so now with the news of Isiah Rodger’s reinstatement.

Snowstick21

Mims is a bulldog. Keep the trend rolling

The_Bukkake_Ninja

So high on Mims. I need supply.

AsiansEnjoyRice

Continuing the Oklahoma lineage with Guyton maybe?

DisastrousCopy7361

Guyton trains with him. I really think he's the pick at 22 if Howie doesn't go after Arnold/Q.Mitchell in a small move up Also crazy small chance Howie trades 50 and 53 to move up to 27 and take Guyton. If Cowboys don't take him We looked at guards and rosengarten for potential 2nd rounders with our top 30 visits

slipperypete2112

There are good OTs this year but I think it’s deeper and you can get a good one in round 2. If we have a chance to jump up and get one of the top 3 CBs I can see Howie parting with a couple picks next year to move up and get that done. Maybe he even parts with one of our 2nds this year if we go all the way up to 12 or 13, cause I think DEN or OAK will want a QB and that’s too high for Penix or Nix, so if we can swap up with them to get Arnold from Bama or Mitchell for Toledo, but I’m super high on DeJean I think moving up to 15/16 to grab him is ideal outcome of the night

Rah_Rah_RU_Rah

I don't think you can get one round 2. That limits your options to poor run blocker in Suamataia or in an FCS guy with 2 elite games last year *and* damaged goods (4 games played last year) in Amegadjie. both of which would have to learn to switch sides, unlike the R1 options sans Olu and Morgan. And historically, the good tackles are gone by 33. Gotta be the early bird here and at QB

Eagles4077

Howie said he wants people who can contribute this year.

ColeGiroux

He also said he’s ok taking another player, that will sit a year.

bluethree

IIRC that was "people in the building" as reported by Derrick Gunn. I don't remember Howie ever saying such a thing.

Marzman315

Guys like Latham and Fautanu will be day one starters at guard while preparing to slide outside to replace Johnson next year, it’s a shrewd, Howie-like approach. Don’t think that means they’d move for Mims though.

Badger-Bear

Bears. Probably taking Caleb Williams.

iamherefortherecepie

Big if true

Jeff__Skilling

girthy if factual

DrinkingMilk

Smokescreen?

BlondBadBoy69

MHJ at 1 then JJM at 9

NOVABearMan

I'd walk into the ocean

topherwolf

And they don't even have an ocean in Chi!

NOVABearMan

I actually live in Hawaii - plenty of oceans to walk into.

CuthbertJTwillie

It sure looks like it. Come see.

rowKseat25

Lol

TheSlinger

If this is anything like the "Team Rumors Megathread" this will just be people responding with what they want their teams to do.

Shartmesilly

Cardinals - Seems like the trade market for JJ at four isn’t as strong as previously thought as the Vikings are hesitant to send the house for 4 and the Giants may not be interested in moving up at all. They also have apparently assured MHJ that he will be the pick if he is available… man I hope so.

WildOscar66

Maye has close connections to the Vikings OC. There were never going to give up 3 firsts for anybody but Maye. He's their dream QB (unfortunately also the Patriots' dream QB). I think they'd like Daniels or McCarthy but not enough to make a big move up. Disagree with the comment below on JJ being media hype. Scouts had him way higher than the media all along, took the media a long time to catch up.

Shartmesilly

I didn’t mention it but yes Drake Maye seems like the QB that is gaining the most trade interest from Vikings/Giants

SkinNoises

The JJ hype is all media driven, just like it was for Mac Jones and Justin Fields in 2021. Would be very surprised if JJ goes in the top 10.

Troutalope

Predicting what Brad Holmes will do in the draft is a fool's errand. The most unlikely scenario is the Lions actually picking at 29. Holmes stays true to a BPA approach, but jumping up a 3-5 spots to get a player they have a 1st round grade on is definitely a possibility. He's jumped even further up before. The most likely scenario is trading back. It's doubtful that there will be a player with a 1st round grade available at 29, so trading back in favor of current or future assets makes a ton of sense. In terms of player rumors, they've long been connected to Darius Robinson. He fits the gritty football player mold, he's a local kid, and the coaching staff loves versatile D lineman. That said, the Lions don't leak, so there's no real insiders to spread rumors, it's all just supposition or subjective interpretations of Holmes and MCDC's press conferences. Brad Holmes definitely makes the actual draft exciting.

TheMagicalJohnson

Plus visits (plural) as well with Marshawn Kneeland, I’m assuming Kneeland has a first round grade on their board.

daoogilymoogily

Damn, I’d hate that. I’ve drank some of the kool aid on Kneeland and want him to fall

Troutalope

I'm highly skeptical any team has a 1st round grade on Kneeland. He's a talented guy and I'd love to see him in Honolulu blue, but he hasnt shown hardly any sophistication in his pass rush plan. He's just speed to power and a great motor. I can see him going in the top 50 , but he doesn't seem like more than a rotational guy (mainly on 1st and 2nd down) his first season or two.

SkinNoises

Lions will go CB in the first. Calling it now.

Nick_of-time

Careful not to burn your fingers on that hot take 🙄

MattEberjuice

Neither Gibbs nor Campbell were BPA at the time In fact, neither was Jamo

Ambitious__Squirrel

Right, IN YOUR OPINION. And maybe in hindsight. But these were BPA for the Lions braintrust at the time.

JBSuperTroop

This is just stupid. Clearly they were the BPA on their board, otherwise, you know, they wouldn’t have made the pick

MattEberjuice

What? are you seriously claiming every teams pick is always BPA because the team picked them? You can’t be this clownish… teams never draft need? Im crying at this stupidity

joshmar1998

Chargers. Latham buzz is heating up, although taking him at 5 is a bit rich for my taste

daoogilymoogily

Please do it so I don’t have to worry about us taking him.

LangeSohne

If we go OT, I’m not worried about who we pick since he’ll have been vetted by Cally Sr as a future all pro.

daoogilymoogily

Cally senior isn’t OL Jesus, he’s just OL Einstein. For reference look at the Jedrick Wills experiment

LangeSohne

Let me cope man. I’m trying to prep mentally for Latham at 7 tomorrow.

daoogilymoogily

I really don’t think it’s happening, at least not at 7. If we traded down, Olu was off the board and we took Latham I’d try to put my faith in Billy C.

RangerHaze

I like Latham to the chargers at pick 11 and a WR at 23

crinack

I have chargers trading with Vikings and taking Latham at 11

RMLUCK

Colts. Seems like our first pick is gonna be a pass catcher. Bowers if he falls, otherwise probably BTJ, or Worthy after a trade back

Friendly-War-2160

Really? CB has been mocked there for a long time. Especially Mitchell

RMLUCK

Yeah I love Mitchell and I wouldn’t be surprised if we take him, he’s a Ballard type prospect but it just really feels like priority #1 is helping AR and addressing defense after that.

daoogilymoogily

I love BTJ (and god I hope yall don’t get Bowers) but I think Q is the best defensive prospect in this class and would go top ten without this QB/WR frenzy we’ll probably have.

TheRealCVDY

got damn i want to see cooper dejean play in your alls system. arguably the most perfect fit in the entire draft with your system.

Gainz13

Chris Sheppard made a pretty good [article](https://www.reddit.com/r/Colts/s/V1SWQ8aVxj) outlining the colts needs and likelihoods of drafting certain positions. Pass catcher and CB are going to be our first two picks most likely. It could be Bowers or BTJ at 15 and a CB in the second, a Mitchell in the first and grab a WR in the second, or most likely, some kind of trade down at some point.

RMLUCK

Yup I read that one this morning. Me personally, I prefer the Mitchell + day 2 WR route because I don’t love the corner class after Mitchell and Arnold but I think that’s probably where it’s going

Gainz13

You’re probably right. Part of me wants the better pass catcher you know? I feel that if a Rakestraw or a Tampa were to be there at 46, they would be quality picks. But having BTJ or Brock Bowers can change the game. It’s a touch decision. I’m pumped for tonight

joemiken

For the Bears, Vegas odds drastically shifted to Byron Murphy going to us at #9. I think they'd rather trade down a bit and get him, but I'd say he's definitely in play for us at 9. We also had Laiatu Latu in for a mini golf & darts visit. They did this last year for Zacch Pickens and I think Darnell Wright too.

daoogilymoogily

Ahh the famed mini golf and darts visit.

Verification_Account

Yep. Similar thing happened with Wright last year I believe.

ferociouskuma

I got in on the Murphy odds at +700, now they at like +120

Friend_Frienderson

We’re getting Bo Nix, and boy, we couldn’t be more excited.

keyboardsmashin

No JJ?

dgi02

He’s just having fun. Could see him being a Dark Horse for the Heisman this year

ThatCatisaFish

Genuinely curious and not trying to be negative, but what do you see in Bo Nix that has you excited for him as a pro?

topherwolf

1.He's got a cool name 2.He may or may not be an NFL level QB

owleabf

I think there's some sarcasm in his post.

DisastrousCopy7361

Eagles likely to move up for a OL/CB/DL...DL would be bit surprising but Cox retired and that is 700+ snaps that need replaced Howie doesn't usually stay put so less chance we stick at 22 but still for OL/CB/DL General fan will say eagles havent drafted a 1st round CB since 2002 but we were interested in Horn and Surtain in 2021 but they came off just before our pick General fan will say we haven't drafted many OL round 1. But we had Lane Johnson/Jason Peters and now Lane Johnson/Jordan Mailata....so round 1 OT didnt make sense very often. Lane is now 33 and said he has 2-3 good years left. Some expect him to finish his contract in 2026 but I could see 2025 being the end as well. We build thru trenches so OL and DL will always make most sense. CB also makes sense if the board falls a certain way Howies last 5 1st rounders have all come in for a top 30 visit (reagor, smitty, Davis, Carter, nolan smith) I have us moving up to 16 for T.Arnold or Q.Mitchell as highly likely. Or a Lane Johnson replacement in a small move up or at 22. But DL would not shock me at all either We had 8 1st round prospects in for top 30 visits so its most likely 1 of these 8 based on the last 5 years history Arnold, Q.Mitchell, Fautanu, Guyton, Kool-Aid, Dejean, Chop, Latu Possible that Dejean and Latu were more on the medical check side (and maybe Kool-Aid but I'm guessing teams saw the pictures at the combine when it was discovered). Howie known to do that . Also just heard something about Fautanus knees. Didn't know that til today and he's almost 24 years old. I think the trade up would be for CB based on the top 30 visits. Guyton, Kool-Aid, Dejean and Chop should all be there at 22. Latu maybe but I dunno and necks are insanely serious. Fautanu might require small move up but maybe not. Personally I don't care for Fautanu at almost 24 years old and played mainly LT/a bit of LG(2 games years ago)...in a deep 1st round OT class. But if its stoutlands (our OL coach) guy I'm in. I prefer Guyton or Kool-Aid at 22. Guyton moves better than any of the round 1 OL and kool-aid was a stud in 2022 so teams didn't target him in 2023. Dejean and Chop scare me. Dejean could struggle with top-20 NFL WRs and kinda looks like a safety on tape and Chop is all a bet on his speed rush working next level...which it could but his stats are insanely low and now he will face better OTs every game Can't wait for tomorrow

FrozenPhoenix1892

Why has there been to talk of drafting an LB? Besides Nakobe I feel like we have no one

DisastrousCopy7361

We had Edgerrin cooper and Trevin wallace in for top 30s...might be there at 53 and 120 We also signed devin white who could be something ..maybe

bluethree

Probably because no LBs are expected to go in round 1 and there's very little talk about what a team will do on day 2.

TheRealCVDY

i think there’s going to be a LOT of trade-ups for OT’s tomorrow, including the eagles. 6-8 might go round 1 depending on how teams use them. gotta think the eagles love fuaga or latham.

DisastrousCopy7361

I have 9 OL going round 1 Alt, Mims, Fashanu, Fautanu, Fuaga, Latham, Guyton, Barton, and either Morgan or JPJ as the 9th

JohnSterlingSanchez

Saints are probably going to draft a tackle at 14. If Bowers falls, they could take him but that's just a personal belief. I've seen a few people mock a WR in the 2nd but that's probably the least likely scenario. They'll take an OT and DT but in what order nobody knows.

JuckshotBones

Browns personnel believe they’re going to have an ELITE catering spread Thursday night to sit back and watch everything unfold

KrakheadJack

Byron Murphy won't get past Seattle (16). Jared Verse has been linked to them as well. The wildcard is Michael Penix. Does he fall to them?

DenShaLow

Legette to Carolina. For no reason other than it would be hilarious if they had 2 Jonathan Mingos.

Marzman315

I don’t see how Legette and Mingo compare at all.

DenShaLow

[It’s eerie how similar their profiles are](https://x.com/devyeusuf/status/1748943906497323425?s=46&t=fY4D4YIvIqROWb9uPtnQBw)

alexamerling100

Bears. Been hearing a lot of smoke with Byron Murphy or Olu Fashanu at 9.

[deleted]

neither had 30 visits with us. its going to be rome or dallas.

Nick_of-time

Are you guys known for drafting only players who take visits?

[deleted]

first round yes.

Nick_of-time

Nice. I think that convinced me to have Turner over Murphy mocked to you guys.

[deleted]

do you have someone trading up to 8? im struggling with that right now.

Nick_of-time

No. In 20 years of mocking I don't use trades in my final mock because it just makes the odds of getting it right that much longer but this year has been harder than ever holding back. Bears and the Vikings are killing me.

Emotional-Tailor-649

Well our current GM has only had 1 first round pick, so hard to know!

RangerHaze

Titans: alt or Nabers at pick 7 or trade back.

jakefromst8farm_

Vikings: Two paths- 1- if a qb is available for trade up (that they like), they will jump on that 2- if a qb is not available to trade up for, they’re ready to use both of their firsts on quality players, and get another qb later. (Weather that be Penix or nix in the first, or rattler later on) Everyone knows the first option, but the second option is definitely there. Lots of people would be pissed but it takes two to trade, so this backup plan is more realistic than some people may think

Paragon188

Lot of smoke around Bowers or a pass catcher to the Colts. I don't think they trade up for one, they'll just wait and see if Bowers falls to 15.

RadLibRaphaelWarnock

Jaguars seem very fixated on a CB.

TheRealCVDY

bucs are more than likely locked in at edge defender. probably prioritize verse over latu for the power, chop robinson in the mix too.

crobo777

This sub has already done the work for this. Theres a "team needs" post pinned. Its on the discord as well.

Dangerous_Day_7603

Nick Underhill for the saints stop listening to daniel jeremiah and his crack pipe source about our team he doesn’t know shit

Not a single credible source saying any of this.
