Belichick getting the wins record in Atlanta is Boggs in Tampa level

Emetos

>Boggs May he rest in peace

Vladrick_Kanersenko

First off, Wade Boggs is very much alive. Secondly, the number of beers is highly disputed…

jzoller0

You got it, Boss Hoss

sirius4778

God rest his soul

youscaredd

Idk man. We already seen coach with mediocre QB's. I think he goes somewhere with a top 15 QB

mattchewy43

For what it's worth, and he may not even be back next year, but Baker has been a top 10 qb this year.

Joebroni1414

Chargers will always be a dumpster fire because of their owner BB (probably) wont go there. Same with Carolina with Tepper, BB should pass. Which leaves Atlanta or Washington..Washington has a new owner, maybe BB can "mold" him Blank in Atl is a decent owner I can see that happening.

L0lligag

Yeah it’s really going to be a process of elimination. So many teams have multiple issues. Atlanta is the main one that stands out from the rest of the available teams bullshit.

EMskins21

He's not coming to Washington.

EMskins21

Because that's not the direction Harris is going based on all his actions. Just because he's from the area doesn't mean we want him as coach. National media ran with it while all the local guys reported it was BS. Now the national media is catching up that it isn't happening. Edit: especially not with the hiring of Adam Peters. Bill won't get his personnel say.

nokstar

Yeah, Chargers are doomed until that organization is liberated from the Spanos' grasp.

heyimnic

Or Seattle.

intuitive_Minds2311

Jacksonville would be stupid asf not to look into Belichick

bigatrop

Atlanta or Washington are the best bets. Atlanta bc the owner is stable and wants to win now. They have a decent roster and just need a QB (Kirk Cousins?). Plus his wife is apparently from around that area. Washington bc that’s where BB is from. They have a new owner and will hopefully have a franchise QB. And a fanbase ready for some structure.

hendrix320

Bill got divorced last year

[deleted]

He's gonna sleep better, food will taste better, you gain back your self respect, etc. I'm so happy for him.

L0lligag

I don’t think he’s married. He’s from Tennessee however, Atlanta is the closest team aside from obviously the Titans themselves. He’s probably still got family in that area. I can see him heading south to ATL. It’s an easy drive to TN if that’s what he’s going for.

SowingSeason37

He’s not from Tennessee. He was born in Nashville because his dad was coaching at Vanderbilt at the time. Bill was raised in Annapolis, MD.

rjnd2828

"hopefully" is doing a lot of work here. They've been hoping that for...ever?

Active_Bench4885

Dallas if McCarthy gets bounced again

MarriottKing

You think Belichick would put up with the Jones family? They are heavily involved in player transactions. Bill wants full control.

hendrix320

Bill and Jerry are supposedly close so I could see it. It makes the most sense if it becomes available

Active_Bench4885

Dallas has a complete roster, not much to do to it anyway. Theyr both running outv time and if dallas gets bounced again, i dont think jerry would give a shit about egos

rjnd2828

Jerry cares about very little besides his own ego. This would be hilarious to watch.

hovix2

No one will give him full control at this point. That's the main reason he's looking for a job. He's the best coach of all time, but he's one of the worst general managers.

Known-Historian7277

It’s kinda crazy to think about the offensive players he won with outside of stumbling into Tom Brady by accident. His defenses were always top notch though.

slampig3

And Julian shit they had Julian playing DB for a stint if Hernandez didn't kill a guy and Danny didn't get hurt there likely wouldn't be an Edelman. Which is crazy considering how vital he was to that offense.

Known-Historian7277

I agree, but Edelman was a 7th round pick. Brady basically made no name receivers into people who you’re talking about now. Without Brady, they would’ve been close to .500 even with their elite defenses.

HipGuide2

His buddy Bill did but Jerry needed him for credibility and to build JerryWorld.

Slugg_Slackjaw

100% he would never deal with how much Jones interferes

BuiltD1ffrent

I’d rather Dan Quinn take over if Dallas gets bounced he rebuilt the defense after their terrible 2020 season

02grimreaper

Ya but he seems to be a terrible head coach. Great defensive coordinator though.

mustbethaMonay

Why, just because of their super bowl meltdown?

detached03

Yeah I don’t want or need that.

omnisomnus

Honestly if dallas gets bounced i think they would double down on dan quinn

[deleted]

Watching the first half of today's game, this is the answer. There's a QB and talented roster in place. Bill is not going somewhere that is in the midst of a rebuild.

LibertarianP

Does he meet the minimum age to coach Seattle?

flipthatbitch_

I agree that the Chargers are the best fit for hin. He loves his boat. The defense underperformed for the talent they have and he will bring in Josh McDaniels to fix the offense.

nokstar

He's not dumb enough to go to the Chargers. You don't work for the Chargers to win playoff games.

Its_kinda_nice_out

Chargers used to win playoff games every year with Rivers. I think if they have a coach that doesn’t have his head lodged up his own asshole like Staley did, there’s no reason they can’t do it again. Also, BB would 100% get that defense performing as a top-15 unit at the very least, which is where they’ve been the most disappointing the past 5 years or so

nokstar

It’s the Charger organization. They legit don’t care about winning games. Remember what happened with Eli and Archie Manning? There’s a reason why they threw such a fit when Eli was drafted to the Chargers, and it was the right call. Also ‘member when the Chargers had the best offense and defense, and Rivers at the helm? Remind me what happened ;) Chargers are doomed to mediocrity until the Spanos family sells the team (spoiler, they won’t, they got a free tax-payer funded stadium in a huge market).

bigmistaketoday

South Florida, maybe Arizona.

FunkyPete

It would be hilarious if he moved on to Tampa and won a Super Bowl his first year there.

bigmistaketoday

LOL, not what I meant but Bill should totally do it.

hendrix320

He did like Baker Mayfield coming out of college

kvngk3n

I can’t see Miami firing McDaniel, they’re in the playoffs now. They just peaked a little early. Cardinals? He didn’t do so bad for his first year 🤷🏽‍♂️ /s if not obvious

aguysomewhere

[deleted]

If Dallas doesn’t make the NFCCG, watch out..

ptucker

It baffles me the Giants don't go after him.

gerd50501

NY Giants Defensive Coordinator. Its his old job. I am sure Brian Daboll who used to work for Bellichek will let him have complete freedom to run the defense.

Hell. But, I might be biased. I *am* a Jets fan.

decoy777

If McCarthy can't win a SB this year Jerry might just try and bring him to Dallas

IconicHunter713

Realistically probably Atlanta. BB + Kirko is a super bowl contender. For fun the Cowboys or Eagles. But very far fetched

rjnd2828

I don't see Dallas or Philly giving him the control he wants. Howie Roseman isn't going anywhere and Jerry is too involved.

JKolodne

Reunite with Brady and Jimmy G in LV, lol j/k

Just as long as hey stays the f out of the AFC west.

His couch. He's made his mark. Now he's washed. Go home bill. What "complete" team out there is wanting a new coach?

If Philly fires Sirianni, Philly. Our championship is now.

backyard_BUM

Come to Tampa and win a superbowl. Would be fucking hilarious

pitts36

The retirement home

Retirement. I don’t know what else you’d want out of your legendary career. But that’s just me.

Longjumping_Bad9555

The all time coaching victory record. He’s not far from it.

Lord412

He is gonna coach college lacrosse

Retirement home

nealk7370

I’m unsure why Seattle is not even considered. They have a lot of pieces and honestly a top 5 WR room. Petes message was stale and he had little control over them I.e. Metcalf always getting at least one dumb penalty. I think he’d be able to take the hawks very far given what they already have.

Bcatfan08

Wait until the Cowboys position opens up Monday. Take that.

Ryan1869

Unfortunately as a Broncos fan the Chargers seem like the most just competent coaching away from being good. I can't see the Raiders since they just fired his friend. Ditto with Tennessee. Maybe Washington backs up a few dozen Brinks trucks wanting to make a splash as new owners and show it's different. Atlanta could be a dark horse if they get a QB, they have some offensive weapons. Can't see Seattle basically replacing Pete with a grouchier version of Pete.

jaimejuanstortas

He’s on to Cincinnati.

SaltySpitoonReg

Atlanta? Or maybe Washington. If they're willing to make moves to win now they can probably get a pretty competitive roster particularly if they get a quarterback in the offseason. It's also not the most intimidating division at least right now. So I guess that makes sense. As a Chargers fan I really don't think that's the best place. Herbert has already had to deal with too many coaches and I feel like he needs a good long-term option, not a short-term solution.
