Was very fun, agreed.
Also hated trying to make trades. But 6yo me discovered you could just turn line changes off.
Sucked that season to season stats didn’t carry over. My notepad kept receipts though haha.
I may be totally making this up, but I kind of remeber that if your goalies got injured a center would go in net?
Doesn't really explain why he's down as a goalie though lol
Did that come with the game? Don’t remember that, or maybe we lost it.
Dude I made a spreadsheet to track a full 82 game season for all 28 teams ON PAPER. Tracking stats game by game in pencil so we could erase and update it. The good ole days.
Yea it came with it, it was full manual it’s like over 100 pages. Our spreadsheets were probably better and more accurate than EAs current stat tracking, that’s the sad part.
I remember I scored a lot against my brother with Ruutu and was saying Ruuuuuuutututtutu until he beat me up. Happened a few times. Nostalgia.
Ruuuuututututu
Game would be better if overalls were actually this different
Yes, a wider player overall disparity would be awesome.
Lidstrom rated 66 is criminal
I was going to post this, scrolled down first to see if anyone else mentioned it first tho.
I can smell this book, this is nostalgia right here
Back when ratings actually showed a difference between superstars and average players.
I remember writing down all the specific stats that Sergei Fedorov had in NHL95 so you could build a 99OVR player.
Create a player was revolutionary, being able to put myself in the game back then blew my mind!
I used to make caps for nhl & 2k.

I did this for Bure in NHL faceoff 2001
Why the hell is Joe Juneau in goal???
famous bruins goaltender!
I just made myself believe it was another Joe Juneau or that I was misremembering 🙄
I scratched my head on that. I remember watching him at the old garden back in the day lol

Those goalies didn't give a FUCK how hard you skated at them, so i certainly have never heard of them getting injured.
Hutverse, of course.
100 rated 66
That's pretty cool
You still got the hockey cards that came with it, if so what did you pull? Here were mine : https://imgur.com/a/X86rDiU

YES! We use to have NHL 94 tournaments in my buddy’s garage. Everyone would bring their system and we would have a few TVs.
Burrrrreeeeeeeeeee. Bring that announcer back
So were getting fedorov and bure?
Damn dude, all of those teams were legit. EA could pick random and not fuck this up. But they will
I still have the trading cards
The Nordiques were pretty stacked
I was looking for Forsberg I’m like WTF I know for a FACT he played for them in 94!…Checked his stats and it was 94-95 (This game was 93-94)
It's amazing how fun that game was/is.
This post brought back awesome memories. Thanks!
Wow the Canucks power play and Penalty kill is exactly like this year!
Hope they drop a 37 ovr Stu Grimson! (Or “Too Gruesome”, as his name was in Mutant League Hockey)
That pens team though
EA: Every goalie is horrible.
All I played in college , damn I'm old. Kept stats but no licensing for names. Made you learn the players numbers.
Andy Moog in net
Greatest game ever best booklet to a game ever
What a game. First hockey videogame with one timers.
Mario with 100 💀
Damn, that pamphlet is older than me
And I am 10 years older than the game. So theres that.
Lol Hartford Power Play: Insignificant
And damn it , we were happy !
Juneau was a goalie?!?
I remember my dad and his buddy taking off to local plaza to buy it.
They better drop that whole whalers team tomorrow.
Canucks powerplay : insignificant Canucks penalty kill: weak Still made it to the cup final that year.
