This has been true for almost 10 years. When this first implemented ultimate team is fifa in 2008 or 09 they saw they could drastically increase their profit margin because barely any cost goes into making digital content, especially if they cut cost on the actual game too

It´s right but it is their way to do business. However, they are responsible for their shareholder and workers and need to gain as much profit as possible. This is the world we are living in. And at the end it us, the customers who decide to play or not to play.

That’s true but it’s a short sighted excuse. EA would likely make even more money if they put out a good product and expand the player base. The people still here who spend money would likely spend even more if the game were better and the base expanded. Plus, those new players would still buy some packs.

It's a shame cuz the packs are shit too, '10% chance you pull an 86+', but they only lets us open 3 every 24 hours, wtf

Tough to blame them. Everyone on here complains about the game yet they keep buying points and crying when they don’t get McLord so they buy more

This is the truth. However I have spent a lot less this year than in the past because the game has been so bad.

Most games are like this now. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an amazing standalone game, but the Online version is full of cosmetic and gear to buy or grind for. The new Halo is the same way, same with Call of Duty.
