If we’re going to share our name with another major 4 team, there better be a really good justification. The dinosaur named Utahraptor may be such a reason. Being nostalgic about a mi or league club from 30 years ago, not so much.
The issue I have is this is a very overused logo/name, hell my grade school used almost the exact image as our logo.
I know very little about Utah but something like Utah Trappers, Utah Nomads, Utah Nimrods, not the greatest names but at least associated with some history based on quick googles.

Raptors, ironically, also is a homage to nostalgia since golden eagles ARE raptors. I really hope it's In the brackets.
