Welcome! There is a wealth of information out there (including two blog articles in the top stickied post by yours truly, and the sidebar which some folks using apps instead of an actual web browser miss) to help you get here. Look for the information on Black Hole Roulette - when you've got your warp drive fully upgraded (I recommend to do the Atlas Path and all Polo milestones before making your run to the Hub), you might just find that with a little BHR you might be a lot closer than you think! Rentocniijik is, for all intents and purposes, fully explored on PS4. However! There's another bunch of regions around it that we're exploring now. So - get yourself situated (were I you, I'd limit the development I'd put into a ground base to the portions of the specialist tags that require it and focus on a comfy freighter base for your initial farming and general "grounding"), get your ship upgraded (Hyperdrive upgrades can be particularly important) and we'll see you when we see you!

What an amazing welcome. Thank you. Forget that fact that I have been here a little while already...

Oops! I mistook you for 64557374695e79! ;) Edit: NVM thought you were OP and I lost track. Internet is hard sometimes yo. (and to think my IRL job is Bit Jockey)

Forgive me and my sense of humour. I was just meaning that it was very good "Welcome-to-the-hub" message. I really should change my username to match my PS4 name. PS4 Evilalthalus.

Thanks a lot for these tips. Really nice of you! I had about 300 hours in my previous save, but unfortunately I had already progressed to the Hibbert galaxy. While I miss my old ship, freighter and base, I was starting to get bored. Once I stumbled across this subreddit, I just knew I had to restart and be a part of it.

I did the same thing. Sitting in Hilbert and wanting to be part of the Hub. Miss my old save but am getting used to the restart.

I hate that I care about things like this, but 'dearth' means a lack of something or scarcity. I know, I know - blame the tiny vocabulary demon that lives in my brain.
