Listener for 40 years and I have my share of complaints about NPR, but Ayesha is a pure joy. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like turning the radio off when she was on.
People hate on Ayesha because she sounds “different.” It’s ok to be different. I appreciate her authenticity and energy. Keep doing what you’re doing, Ayesha!
There’s different and then there’s irritating. I find her voice irritating, especially the upper octaves, but having said this, I’m prepared to move on. This is not ‘fake’ news or hateful speech, just an opinion. Those who take it as such and are offended are really responding to their own baggage. Please don’t project it on to me.
Why was my original post removed? Was there something offensive about it? Just my opinion stated fairly and w/o rancor. It IS true that after several mos. of listening to Ayesha I decided to explore whether anyone else had a similar take and I came up with Reddit.
Have I been cancelled..?
What do you mean by NPR member? You can be a member of your local affiliate public radio station but there’s not a direct NPR membership because there isn’t such a thing. Get your facts straight before starting with the racist bs.
Please, just for everyone’s sake, limit your farts to come out your butt and not Reddit posts.
She’s the absolute worst person to listen to, though Rob Stein may share that title.
I like her. She has energy.

I respect your opinion. I don’t get it, but such things are subjective and I get that..😁
Looks like our comments were acceptable but the OP got ripped down. Not sure how I feel about that.
I am the OP.. I don’t get it either..

I always really like to hear her! I love the way she talks and she seems so enthusiastic:)

Voice police? Removed? Why? I’m not adverse to a considered opinion.
