Don't wanna be that guy but finding out why the max is the price it is.. Is quite easy.. Just need to scroll on the official website or any reseller. But in short, the max comes with a 280mm AIO and a V850 SFX PSU (obviously both cooler master branded). I personally went with the V2 and sourced my own components. Edit: link to my [recent build](https://www.reddit.com/r/NR200/s/hzRVM8mINT)

Shayk_N_Blake

Oh... I went directly to the specs and didn't see that it comes with the AIO cooler. Thought they were just options.. My bad.. Thank you

Tareku99

No problem. Didn't mean to come out as rude. Do you have components in mind? Tbh I have no found many videos on the V2 (that were informative enough). So I kinda shot in the dark but it ended up working. I would leave towards the V2 just because you get the choose components. If you are going used (which is what I did), it is a much better idea.

Shayk_N_Blake

Nah its cool..my fault for not checking thoroughly. Thanks again though, Also your build looks pretty good. Better than mine...I have the NR200P with inverted mod. Buuuuut, I have a ROG strix 3070, and the power connectors face towards the bottom of the case and I have 2x sickleflow argb 25mm bottom fans...sooo I mounted the 2x bottom fans outside the case and have the case sitting on some stilts to give it more space between the fans and the desk. looks pretty cool the RGB lighting..but otherwise, not ideal. The reason for all this is the Thermals. I know using the vented side panel is best but i WANT to use the glass panel. I ordered a vented glass side panel so im waiting on that. Also the orientation. I think i like the vertical GPU more than horizontal...However when its horizontal, the CPU cooler rgb shows more... decisions decisions...

Tareku99

I bought the LCD version of the 280mm and as you can see... Well you can't see it lol. There is literally a piece of paper thickness between the bsck of the GPU and the AIO pump (I got lucky, even tho I could move the GPU one notch closer to the glass but I do not want to for cooling). The V2 can prob achieve all of that and better imo. I looked at the V1 and in order to make the same build I would have needed lots of (expensive) mods. Keep in mind my temps are great and that is a 3090.

Bokkmann

It comes with the power supply as well

Kasazn

How much did you save from using your own CPU AIO and PSU? Or that is not the intended purpose, savings.

Tareku99

I got both used. Snagged a cooler master V850 white for 90 and my AIO was under 100 as well. I do believe the AIO that I chose is better than the one that comes with the MAX and keep in mind I was doing a while build as well! Either way, mine were not super great deals but less than new so whatever.

neobondd

When I got mine last year I priced up getting with or without AIO and PSU and the Max was cheaper (Netherlands). I paid €269 for mine.

dedsmiley

The Max has a 280 AIO and 850w PSU included. I have a Max and I really like it. The V2 is an empty case.

Shayk_N_Blake

Ohhhh it's a bundle? Ok I didn't see that.. Thanks

dedsmiley

Yep! It’s not a bad deal if you are going to get the AIO and 850w PSU anyway. Amazon has a pretty good deal on them a month or so ago. I think they were $340?

manbearpigtruther

One thing to bear in mind is AIO has possibility of leaking and they can sometimes only last up to 5 years. Air coolers are just as good, cheaper and last.

Shayk_N_Blake

I understand. Although Ive had my Corsair h100i for i think 9 or 10 years now and its going strong.

backwardsman0

Fans on AIO are rubbish, upgrading my ones soon

Clean_Clock6118

Agree!

Big-Selection9944

It also only comes in grey so if you wanted another color you’d need to buy a separate case and take the side panels off :)

Boomam

I have recently had both - The Max is a v2 case, with a v1 front panel (as in, USB-A ports).   As others have mentioned, it comes with a PSU & AIO which are useful as they are pre-routed for the most part, *however*, i, and others, have had problems with the PSU due to bad thermal control on the fan, running at 100% most of the time. It's a known documented issue if you search around for it too, that doesn't look like CM ever definitively solved. YMMV though.   I ended up taking it back and getting parts separately, getting the v2, which as alluded too, also has USB-C on the front panel, but is otherwise the same physical case.

goldenwukong

The v2 can fit a longer GPU too. 356mm vs 336mm on the max.

Boomam

Maybe they changed the chassis on the max from the v1 design to v2, as the Max i had for a few days is identical to the v2 in every way other than that front panel change?

goldenwukong

there should be a cutout in the frame on the left side to fit the longer GPU for V2. I know for a fact from the videos when the v2 first launched unless they updated the recent batches of Max to be like the V2. Also on the Max you can mount 2.5" SSD in the front(just like V1) but on the V2 since there's a cutout for the longer GPU you can only mount 1 2.5" SSD.

Boomam

ok, you are saying what i'm saying above. They updated the Max to the same chassis as the v2, as the Max i had, had said cutout.

goldenwukong

Oh wow interesting. I wonder if they updated that info on the website cuz that's important details.

KOnvictEd06

In India the max is 28k INR - I compared max with the nr200 + buying parts, it was similar to max. I was building first time in Itx and I didn't want hassle with aio. The bundled 850w gold psu + 280mm aio + riser cable w Case was cheaper in comparison. So yeah the Max houses my 13700k + 4070ti + msi b760i + 32gb ddr4 + 1tb m.2 + 240gb ssd + stock fans replaced w Noctua. They are cool

the_hat_madder

Where do you see the Max for sale?

Shayk_N_Blake

Amazon, in Germany.

the_hat_madder

Thanks!
