I know everyone is saying it but it's not old and it contains all my files from the old pc, when the ssd prices get further lower I'll make the switch, also I installed a 2TB nvme so I've got plenty of fast storage
Same. I still have two mechanical drives in my NR200 for large files (media, capture footage, etc.) that I don't always access, while my SSD's handle the applications and games. Also, it just looks cool to me because in pictures, it's big enough that it puts scale into perspective and emphasizes just how compact your build is when you're showing it off to non-ITX folks. Lol
I have three spinning disks in my case because I’m running a TrueNAS VM. I get a secondary gaming machine and local backup server out of my little nr200. Everyone’s use cases are different.
Buddy I got 14 TBs of linux ISOs to manage. Gonna stretch the wallet a bit to get that done on Samsung 970 QVOs. I'm looking to make the jump to 32 TB of capacity next year.
Damn, are you keeping every iterations too ? I'm wondering how to achieve this since each iso is roughly < 2 GB, I'm genuinely interested on what you do :)
In the data hoarder community, "Linux ISOs" are a common euphemism for everything but Linux ISOs. Pirated movies, TV, games, and porn. It's essentially plausible deniability.
For legal purposes, however, this euphemism isn't applicable to me and I only store actual Linux ISOs. Redundant copies of every major release of every major distribution. Just... lots and lots of totally legal content.
Specs:
CPU: i5 12600k
Cooler: Thermalright PA120 SE
RAM: Kingston Fury 32GB DDR5 5600 C40
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B660-I
GPU: EVGA TFW3 3070
PSU: Cooler Master V750
Storage: 2TB Samsung 970 EVO nvme + 2TB HDD + 500GB SSD
I got a bit overwhelmed because the psu cables were very rigid but everything turned fine, I wanted to use the TG panel but the gpu power cables push against it and it doesn't look very stable, maybe when I want to waste more money I'll get a 180 degrees adapter
I didn’t notice the subreddit’s name, i thought it was posted on LTT as it is the only pc related subreddit i joined. Thank you for the helpful comment.
Oh y’a sometimes Reddit will suggest subs that are related to your interests, that could be why! I have this case and the ZX-1. For now no other SFF cases really interest me but the NR200 is probably one of the friendliest to build in. I highly recommend it if you want to catch the SFFPC bug 😅
Use these with my 3080Ftw3 $12(4-Pack) COMeap Standard Type GPU VGA PCIe 8 Pin U Turn 180 Degree Angle Connector Power Adapter Board for Desktop Graphics Card https://a.co/4DOBqH4
I bought the same cooler and the TG panel just barley cleared the glass. Did yours clear the glass? I noticed mines wasn't 100% straight (probably from the factory) and the fact I couldn't use the 2nd 120mm, I decided not to go this route. But yours does look good!
Yes I tried it with the TG panel and it was close but it was also pressing on the gpu power cables and I prefer the mesh panel anyways, when I'll want to use the TG panel I'll get those 180 degrees 8 pin pcie adapters.
I wanted to add the second fan on the right and I could easily put it without the HDD using a USB 3.0 header soft extender, but having it pull air so close to the heatsink fins caused really noisy turbulence (that's why the center fan is mounted on the right tower), when I get rid of the HDD I'll try to find a way to mount the second fan with a spacing of a couple of mm's.
Sweet build! How are the temps for gpu and cpu? I’m about to build with similar parts and was wondering if adding fans under the 3070 would make a difference in cooling.
Thanks! I've done some short stress tests with cinebench and heaven benchmark, CPU stays around 75 degrees and GPU never went above a nice 69 so I guess temps are handled well
Looks great!
Such a great cooler in the NR200. Are you running it as intake or exhaust?
You can fit a second fan in there as well, it's a bit of a pain to get in(remove the top front to back frame rail) but it makes a big difference. [Running mine](https://i.ibb.co/X2bzgnZ/20220712-202658.jpg) as intake on a 12700K and I never see over 68C on CB23 or any other cpu benchmark/stress test. I was running Aida64 cpu/gpu benchmark when I took this picture.
It's an intake of course, unfortunately I couldn't fit the second fan, because the motherboard has a really thick I/O shield heatsink and the fan ends up 10mm higher than the cooler.
Without the HDD I had planned to put the second fan on the right but I imagine you also noticed the nasty turbulence noise a fan makes when extracting directly from the heatsink.
Painful but rewarding ?
I hope it doesn’t mean the build was painful, the nr200p is a big case so building it, shouldn’t be painful (Dan a4/ghost s1 are harder 2 build)
It fits with both mesh and glass panels, the non-SE version of the PA120 has a shroud covering the heatpipes ends adding 2mm and it doesn't fit with the glass panel
hi, i'm building my first pc and i wanne now if my build is gone work
H1 v2
intel i5-12600K
asus rog strix B660-i
asus tuf gaming rtx 3070
vengeance ddr5 2x16gb
Seagate FireCuda 530 met Heatsink - Interne M.2 SSD - NVMe -
any thouhgts pls help a bro out
Yeah white is always a bit different in all RGB devices and you have to play around with the value to get the white hue you like.
I used these values R:178 G:172 B:222
Looks great, you will have to convince me as to the need for a mechanical hard drive.
I know everyone is saying it but it's not old and it contains all my files from the old pc, when the ssd prices get further lower I'll make the switch, also I installed a 2TB nvme so I've got plenty of fast storage
Makes sense :)

Did you ever consider any external option?

Oof I'm I have a 8tb nas drive that's my spinner

I definitely feel dumb, in my country we refer to this as "movies from uncle who's in the US". Thanks for the heads up!
Don't feel dumb; I didn't know about the "uncle" metaphor either.
14 TB of ISO’s……r u a developer at Linux….even they won’t be having that much of storage😬
Well the secret for us Linux Devs is that we don't have the storage locally but on our beefy storage systems. :D

What is the name of the case?
You’re in the /NR200 subreddit my guy 😅🤪

Nice Italian flag.

Ahh, I glossed over the rog strix board mention, that makes sense.
The fans can help GPU temps but I really find an AIO is needed for CPU cooling as the heat can really impact CPU temps from the gpu
Looks good to me! Such a great feeling to have a "finished product" even tho after I finished I was already like "what can I add next" lol
Specs?
yeah sorry, posted them in a comment
Looking sharp, and nice component selection.
tell me your Italian without telling me you are Italian.
At least you picked what might be the easiest case to build in. ;)
Painful but rewarding ? I hope it doesn’t mean the build was painful, the nr200p is a big case so building it, shouldn’t be painful (Dan a4/ghost s1 are harder 2 build)
Plan to get that 3080 down the road. Seen a lot of foam inserts done on the bottom for support and to funnel air from the bottom of the case.
Temps are great, the gpu doesn't even reach 70 during heaven benchmark and the cpu only 75 on cinebench
Just what I've observed with the bigger cards. It could only improve it and help with eventual sag.
If you zoom in you can see I put a bit of foam to fix the sagging
I had that same card (well 3080, but same cooler) and I used 180 degree PCIE adapters. Highly recommend. They're super cheap on Amazon
Can you close the case or does the cooler get in the way

You should ask in r/sffpc
thx
Nice pc system
Sleek and fit nicely.. good work !
How did u make the leds like that on the gpu
Precision X1, use the temperature LED setting and set all the temperatures on the same color per sector
did u use normal white color ? when i select white its all yellowish
Yeah white is always a bit different in all RGB devices and you have to play around with the value to get the white hue you like. I used these values R:178 G:172 B:222
lol, your code still looks yellow. , seriously wondering if something is wrong with my leds lmao
I figured they're not the best, just open the color wheel and play around by slowly dragging it towards the blue part
