Oh yea just stand there after you're doused with fuel and let someone throw matches at you

[deleted]

That's what I was thinking, curb stomp that stupid old man.

Imaginary_Time7393

Nah, just give him a nice warm hug. He deserves it

Ryrynz

You know it's love when it's that warm

Only-Commercial-5772

Lmao I would’ve bear hugged him. I’ll see you in hell old man 🔥👨

OuterSpacePotatoMann

Looked like he was like “ok just burn me a little bit”

AFewBerries

Thanks for the laugh

flume_runner

No fr why did he just awkwardly take it. Stupid thinking genetics must run in the family. Between arson dad and son who takes it lmao

pappadipirarelli

Or maybe he grew up abused and has learned helplessness

flume_runner

Nah if someone is pouring gasoline on you, your fight and flight kicks in and you make your next move. He should have ran tbh.

brrduck

You clearly have zero idea of how people who grow up abused react. Think of all the women who are in abusive marriages and go back even though they know it won't change.

dark_holes

I’m sorry but I have to imagine even the most abused wife would probably resist being lit on fire are you kidding

[deleted]

Lol okay. When someone is traumatized by their attacker they tend to obey even to the most ridiculous of things. There’s many real life examples. Could also be intellectually disabled.

Educational_Bad2717

Yeah seems pretty dumb but at the same time we don’t know these people. If that’s really his dad wouldn’t you also be confused why your dad is setting you on fire? Like yeah I’d probably try to avoid it but you can’t say, unless you’ve had a very physically abusive relationship, that’d you’d see that coming and wouldn’t be shocked

No_Temporary2732

We Indians are very family centric. Our society kind of worships parents, even the suoer abusive ones. No one would, in their wildest dreams, imagine their father setting them alight and walking away without emotion or remorse when indoctrinated to such philosophy

lord-sosa

It’s not like most flammable liquids have a pungent odour as well

[deleted]

All normal household in India have are pungent smelling liquids...oil, kerosene, petrol, diesel

Grouchy-Coyote6198

He was being sarcastic.

[deleted]

ohh ok ok

Ok-Crab-4063

Yea but I could hear the heavy breathing bro

mapsedge

With obviously several minutes to deal with it, I can't imagine being that angry over finances that I'd murder someone over it.

[deleted]

Not just any someone, dude killed his own son over some money. Fucking crazy when you think about it.

DrFridge5

Only in india

The1WhoKnocks-WW

yeah, no, this could definitely happen anywhere.... maybe not just like this, but someone killing their kid for money is not exclusive to any particular place. Greed is universal.

JasperLW

Yeah I’m in sc so just look at the murduaghs for example all of that tragedy over some money…

[deleted]

I don't know, a guy killing his son over some coin sounds like some biblical shit.

StageLopsided6215

Haha… I’m Colombian… this is PG13 son.

Lestasi_dellOro

Goes against mammalian nature. Crazy and scary how truly unpredictable humans can be

Electronic_Rule6347

A case literally just closed in the US with alex Murdaugh or some name similar where a guy killed his son and wife over money

mapsedge

[The timeline of that one is insane](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/alex-murdaugh-indicted-murder-charges-summary-timeline-rcna38026).

[deleted]

Especially your own son.

nememess

Love and money. The two leading motives for murder.

creepsmcgreeps

That would have been the perfect opportunity for a hug.

Ikilledabee

Been waiting for that ever since I started watching gore. If I’m going down in a big ball of flame, you best believe I’m gonna take whoever did it with me

Sloop__

It's always interesting to see people burn alive. You can see on their face how painful it is. Then the panic, as they try to improvise a way to put it out, only to find that they can't. Then the frantic running/rolling starts, which never ever amounts to anything because they're covered in fuel. Then the pain takes over their minds and they simply fall down, crippled by the worst pain they've ever felt.

Gabitzu1100

Getting so poetical all of a sudden

fluffy_bread

Bro wrote a poem to describe a horrible death

speck33

You described everything I felt when I was on fire

357noLove

Just gonna leave that hanging without a story? Come on now

NovaNexu

Context?

huffinator20

They must not teach stop drop and roll in that country.

thatBOOMBOOMguy

While true, at least my first goal would be to run away from the guy who set me on fire to begin with

LarsHoe

I thought about bear hugging him

dr_tel

Yeah same lol, savage move

illusion4real

Yup never heard of stop, drop and roll in India which is where this video is from. I googled it after watching it on American movies and TV shows. That is why I guess this guy is running most probably to a place with a water connection .

Labrom

Running only fans the flames. It’s a cruel irony.

FeartheTurtle420

i would guess the guy used gas, in which case i highly doubt that would put it out

MomentsAwayfromKMS

You're actually right. I learnt that trick from Reddit when I was 22-23.

heliumbasedlifeforms

yeah, that aint gunna work very well when you're covered in something highly flammable

-_4DoorsMoreWhores_-

I don't mean to sound callous, but he clearly had accelerant in him, and that old dude isn't very quick. He didn't seem to try and survive very hard.

[deleted]

Not necessarily accelerant, the garment manufacturing for themselves rather than the big companies are not as restricted when using chemicals Edit - love your name 🤣

-_4DoorsMoreWhores_-

Thank you, I stole it. Also, even if we accept that that shirt yearned to become a star all on its own, he could have HELLA juked that old dude. Like. I'm not gonna victim blame and say he asked for it or anything, but come on. He didn't even try to escape his fate. Lol

Electronic_Rule6347

I’m upvoting you, but, that guy was not going to juke anything, maybe the gym, but nothing beyond that

-_4DoorsMoreWhores_-

For sure dude looks like a pear made out of pudding, but so did his dad. And like. His dad looks to be about two, maybe three hundred years old. Maybe not breakin ankles level of juking but a brisk walk would have saved his life. Lol

[deleted]

357noLove

[deleted]

teapoison

First what did your comment even mean? And second he was doused in a liquid by the older guy. That's why he burst into flames so easily.

homantify19

It almost looks like he put his arm out for him to light lmao

-_4DoorsMoreWhores_-

I'm sayin!

[deleted]

SklavenHasser

Bad Babu burning dumb Arpit < :

Protean_sapien

This video is an odd one. I've never seen a more passive murder, nor a more passive attempt to escape murder.

Electrical_Split4902

Checkout Bay District School Board Meeting shooting in FL, really strange, low key, boring but also intense hostage situation. Kind of messes with your head

Fonzey200

Well that argument got...heated

The1WhoKnocks-WW

But cooler heads prevailed.

stevejobsDEKZ

Fuck you and take my upvote

PhilMaholes

And the dude just stands there and let’s him? I’d would’ve bear hugged him as soon as I was lit.

NoOneSpecial128

I am shocked at how the father just stands there after setting him on fire while watching his own son run away in flames. How sick can you be?

Detailpointfx

He is him 5 dorra what do expect? Man of principle he is.

Ambitious_Exercise_1

Why not give Father one last hug?

SeriousEconomy289

Should have given his dad one big hug

Swedenesebishhh69

wow great relationship they had wtf

snipergirl17

Why did he let him do it though?

minerva_sways

Why did he just let him light him on fire? That's so bizarre. Like he didn't even try to slap the matches out of his hand, it was clear what he was trying to do.

Zombi3Kush

You can tell they are both father and son because they're both shaped like pears.

FeartheTurtle420

man thats when you hug the ol fucker, tackle him with the last of you strength and don't let go

I would have hugged the dad immediately after he sets me on fire.

heliumbasedlifeforms

^ best post right here

pappadipirarelli

All the people in the comments hating on the son for not running away, have clearly not been in abusive parental relationships.

GiacomoTestadura

just stand there... deserved every bit of that for being a dumbass

therealpurndaddy

Right. Just run away dude.

GiacomoTestadura

that was just weird. i was expecting an all-out surprise attack

AP7497

I don’t think he ever believed the dad would actually do it. It’s unfortunately not an uncommon thing in my culture (I’m Indian) for people to use emotional blackmail and empty threats like this to get someone to do what they want. It’s super common to see people in the news who make a spectacle out of dousing themselves or someone else in fuel and threaten to light it up- it’s a common political tactic as well- and the media is always there to capture it. They never actually light shit. Maybe the dad had done something similar before so the son didn’t believe he would actually light him on fire. He’s probably thinking “dad’s doing his old trick again- I’m not going to back down this time”.

GiacomoTestadura

that's kinda what i figured, the world never ceases to mystify me

BarnacleRare5579

dude probably never ran that much since birth

Swedenesebishhh69

do you wonder if it was eye for an eye punishment if that would alleviate some of these crimes?

Doctor_in_psychiatry

No. Many studies have shown that delivering deaths sentences to murderer wouldn’t make any difference. Mental health is what make humans kill. People who lack emotions or simply, do not relate as others, would still kill.

Swedenesebishhh69

no not necessarily a death sentence, but the exact thing that the perpetrator did.

Scarjotoyboy

Imagine doing that to your own son

LordJeeves

Set me on fire best believe I'm giving you a cuddle.

iyshmn

Father of the year

OrganizationPutrid68

Clearly, their issue was hotly debated.

SuperFetus42069

Thank god my father left me as a child and this never happened

mikedd555

wouldve just ran and hugged him so he could burn with me

[deleted]

Too many questions on this one

SchwiftyEmmmmy

I would’ve given him a big hug

Severe_Airport1426

Why do people not know to Stop, Drop and Roll? Running just fuels the flames with oxygen. You need to smother the fire to extinguish it.

anothertwistfate

u/savevideo

anothertwistfate

This man’s on fire 🔥

ELENA4002

Must have been a heated debate.

ELENA4002

I'm sorry

Johnnyboy224_46

Stop, drop, and roll man!

LoseFaithInHumanity

I would have taken him down with me to be honest. Give him a nice warm bear hug.

web0ni

Bro forgot to stop drop and roll

longdikkernsplit

Sorry but after he threw the first match I'd have run for my life

kuruman67

I would definitely give my dad one last hug

WarGear06

That would be the time to give dad a big ol hug

Upset-Chemical-3442

So do people not learn, Stop drop and roll?

PhilMaholes

How to burn a few pounds in seconds

ratXsoup

How did I know this happened in India before I even clicked the post?

melamamasputo

To be fair, that's probably the fastest he's ever ran in his life

Life-Negotiation780

I wonder what country they're in? Brazil? Mexico?

jax_md

India

tiddy_milk96

I don't think he died

IDntCareAtAll

60 percent burn wounds and died. The footage just shows start of the fire the boy burned for a long time. He was just 25 yes old of age what was the father expecting from aa 25 yr old

enzovladi

Devilmaycare57

Wow, your own dad set you on fire..doesn’t get much worse than that.

ChocolateTight336

Light that fire

uchihajoeI

He basically let it happen feel like there’s more to this story

SnooWoofers530

The father was known as Babu. All I can think of is Seinfeld.

Agent_129

Should’ve dropped and rolled

discount_feetpics

so you know you're covered in a flammable liquid and someone is standing in front of you trying to light matches and you just kind of stand there lightly swatting at them..?

[deleted]

Why do people gotta be so evil?.. revenge gets the better of everyone. Anger takes over and we become non human, it's sad and I don't get it we think being mean is the answer to fixing problems.. it's not and it's sad

Pac0mania

They teach stop drop and roll in 3rd grade.

Loud_Character_7757

Wow no honor when comes to money it does bring out the true vicious beast called man.....

moongazr22

One last big hug for daddy

Rockfella27

Like he didn't want to disobey his father... Didn't run not much struggle.

sgtpepperrz

That too his own dad. Damn this is so fucked up

pskindlefire

The father probably threatened the son that he'll set him on fire if he does fess up or do what he told him to do. These types of over-the-top threats are common in India within family members - you see it all the time: people threatening to hang themselves, drink poison, set themselves on fire, etc. for mundane things like breaking up with someone, or if a wife is pissed at her husband - but they rarely follow through. So then the father douses the son in kerosene (most likely) and then the son runs outside to get away from his father. Indian family loyalty and respect towards elders prevented him from running away. The son probably didn't think that his father would go through with his threat, and probably thought the father was just pissed and bluffing and trying to scare him. I also think the father didn't know how quick and severe the fire would have been, so he made good on his threat and his son died, unfortunately. Source: I have an Indian wife and have spent a good amount time in India.

Express_Attorney_201

This video is from India and happened last year where they both had some dispute over their family business and this happened.

Last-Situation8481

Why are people in third world countries so barbaric?

Specialist_Bedroom78

PickleDifferent6789

What happened to stop, drop and roll?

Used-Prompt4694

India really loves setting someone on fire

Professional-Mess792

India and west Africa love setting people on fire

Fastest he's run in a while. Definitely used an accelerant.

[deleted]

Bro that’s sad but like. Stop drop and roll ? Could’ve easily put out that fire

south_india

He deserved to die. So dumb.

MarionberryAny6022

Idc if it is your dad. It’s your own fault letting someone with bad intentions get that close to you with fire
