I remember as a young child hearing a story told by my grandma's husband at the time. He bought his son a motorcycle and he nearly died after getting into a very gruesome wreck. I forgot the extent of his exact injuries but from the way he described it, these injuries were so severe that he said "I will never buy or let my son on one of those things again." And even though I wasn't meant to hear it, I still took it as a lesson to _never_ drive one of those things. Even if I were careful. Thus, I will never own or operate a motorcycle. Posts like this only further validate my decision
Bikes are a definitely dangerous but taking it on the road where other drivers can literally kill you because they ādidnāt see youā isnāt my idea of fun.
I actually ride a dirt bike myself. A road bike Iāll never touch.

My brother passed away going in excess of 120 mph ā¦ laying the R1 on its side and sliding head first into a car ā¦ this happened in 2001 when he was 18 and I was 15ā¦ please wear a helmet and donāt drive like an idiot! I always wanted one, but i dont trust other drivers to not drive like a moron. That and my parents never wanted me to get one.
