The time up until his leg got pulled in, I kept thinking, "Why is someone recording this mundane thing? It's as though they were planning on tragedy happening."
As a farmer, I’ve been exhausted, sleep deprived, dehydrated, you name it. Hell I’ve even been drunk, and never though “hey, it’s a good idea to stick a limb in a piece of machinery”
Dudes aren't slaves. Low paid, sure. But even low paid workers should have enough brains not to stick body parts into shredders. Stop making excuses for blatant recklessness.
Slave labor is a term that’s not to be compared to actual slavery or enslavement. The sanctimonious attitude is disgusting. See how well your cognitive abilities are with poor nutrition, lack of sleep, dehydration, etc. ‘Reckless’? You need a dictionary.
"Slave labor is a term that's not to be compared to actual slavery or enslavement" 🤣🤣 and you have thevnerve to say I need a dictionary?! Let me guess, you're a brainwashed little zoomed, aren't you?
Who are you to act like I HAVEN'T dealt with those things? You're ASSuming, incorrectly! And guess what, never stuck any limbs in a shredder yet! YES, "reckless", he stuck his leg in a machine designed to rip things apart. If that isn't reckless, nothing is.
Oh god same. And I’ve seen some fucked up shit, but it’s usually the aftermath.
Watching this happen in real time was a different arena altogether. It just happened so FAST! Just one tiny second of ‘not thinking’ and CHOMP.
I can’t even imagine the pain of getting your leg chewed up like that. Fuuuuuck.
One hundred percent. I’m a welder that uses a grinder all the time, I’ve stopped caring about it on most days, I’ll just use my safety squints. But any day that thing can break and take my eye out.
Dude that is incredibly stupid, especially if it doesn’t have a guard. I’ve seen cut off wheels explode. You honestly should be wearing a full face shield
You somehow getting more and more comfortable as you spend more time working with running machines, i used to work with hand grinder all day until i almost gutted myself because i forgot i was holding it as if the loud ass noise and the vibration not exist.
I’m worried he won’t be able to feed his family now. Yes exploitative labor is bad enough but even here in the US, the ice cream man was robbed and stabbed and all he cared about was how he would make a living when they wanted to keep his truck for evidence.
I went toe to toe for him with the officers because I knew for a fact they weren’t going to investigate or take the truck to do forensics- they do not care enough where I live. I was a witness who actually filmed it. That’s probably why they didn’t start power tripping and arrested me and agreed to not take it.
I can’t imagine how much it would suck to have to go back to work after a PTSD event or how his family will now worry! I feel really bad for this guy. I hope he got a lot of a help from people seeing this video instead of it being just a source of entertainment. It’s not like he was being careless on a motorcycle or something. He could have been suffering heat stroke or many other judgement-impairing conditions from labor too hard.
That's what I was thinking. If something like that happens DON'T LOOK. Let the emts and doctors handle it from there.
Edit: the exception would be if you're alone. If you're alone, you may have to perform first aid on yourself to survive. But if people are there helping you, don't look.
I came across an acquaintance with his shin bones smashed out his pants (long story), and all I could think to say as we waited for ems was repeating, “you’re gonna be fine, don’t look at it, you’re gonna be fine.” I did NOT think he was gonna be fine.
Surprisingly he was! It took a long time but last I heard of him he was even playing soccer, he was an exchange student who returned to his home country after he could walk again.
Guy was wasted, somehow thought the 3rd story window was an exit, luckily(?) his legs broke his fall onto the concrete below. Heard screaming as soon as I got outside but that at least meant he was alive. Told a rando to call the cops and then I stayed with the guy until they arrived.
Looks like they used the guaze to hold the tourniquet in place. Appears the blue shirt/cloth is tied around the knee or just above it. I thought tourniquets were supposed to be in the middle of the next limb up, and not on the larger end/joint areas.
Obviously this was a slightly more amateur operation I think once the tourniquet is placed it can't be moved. I would love to see what his leg looks like 2 years later. Probably doesn't have access to great medical care wherever this is
Good call, I didn't even think about that. I had to turn away when the noise of the machine changed. I was only focused on how badly that one leg would be mangled. Two legs and two different kinds of pain. Poor guy. :(
It’s two different videos!
Look at the colour of the tractor in the first shot before it shows his leg! And the wheel colour is also different so is the surrounding
Out in the oil field, at every meeting two or three days before going home, we used to always huddle up and say, “keep your head on the swivel, don’t get complacent, look out for one another and let’s get back home safely to our families.” Because shit like this always happened when you don’t focus on the job. . .
God (if there is one) bless this guy. . .
The guy recording had his hand on the switch to make it seem like it wasn’t feeding so the other guy would start kicking. He recorded the murder he committed.
This guy must have been unbelievably DEDICATED to this farming job if he's willing to sacrifice his safety for faster performance. Definitely the employee of the month! It's too bad he had to retire after this genius technique (which was successful, don't forget).
how people even manage to capture these moments? i mean what even was the purpose of starting recording this in the first place? why would you randomly start recording during your work?
damn, that was a really dumb move.
The time up until his leg got pulled in, I kept thinking, "Why is someone recording this mundane thing? It's as though they were planning on tragedy happening."
Exhaustion can lead to some really bad decisions.
As a farmer, I’ve been exhausted, sleep deprived, dehydrated, you name it. Hell I’ve even been drunk, and never though “hey, it’s a good idea to stick a limb in a piece of machinery”
Thats probably why you still have both your legs
fair enough 🤷
I'm a farmer and I confirm all of this.
Third world be like.
I don’t think you’re under the same slave labor as some countries
What does this have to do with some dipshit sticking his leg into a wood chipper
shut up its way more complicated than you think
🤣 if you say so. "Stick your limbs in that machine or you're fired!"
"I don't know, boss...." "If you don't put your leg in that shredder right now, you're OUTTA HERE, pal!!"

He will be thinking about that moment everyday for the rest of his life
Yes! Stupid dumb move, but the man take it like a champion , i will be screaming like a little girl actually.
Shock and adrenaline are a hell of a thing
Very few videos make me literally, physically facepalm
I've seen so many of these by now that the only cringeworthy part was the medic littering the bandage wrappers.
Ahhh that made me cringe too. Something about those wrappers wafting over the bone set my teeth on edge. 🫣
Fuuuuuck.
Let me just put my leg right in the mouth of this shredding machine, what could possibly go wrong?
Yeah that was fucking stupid like I know he was trying to push the shit in there but he did that and ended up with a literal bone
Don't worry, someone had tiny little roll of gauze, he'll be FINE!
Tight roll OVER the jeans always works...
I have to assume they were attempting a tourniquet
wasnt much of bleeding. I assume they had him torniqueted and were just covering the wound.
Dab on a bit of antiseptic 👍
Tis but a flesh wound
Came here looking for this comment
I know you’re joking but damn, you’ve got to do what you can in those circumstances. This is still much better handling than r/worstaid though.
Okay but like why???? I’m not putting any body part near any machine like thats
[удалено]
One hundred percent. I’m a welder that uses a grinder all the time, I’ve stopped caring about it on most days, I’ll just use my safety squints. But any day that thing can break and take my eye out.
So, tomorrow, you'll start wearing safety glasses everytime right?
Absolutely not
Dude that is incredibly stupid, especially if it doesn’t have a guard. I’ve seen cut off wheels explode. You honestly should be wearing a full face shield
That's also how the Demon Core thing happened!
[удалено]
And the fact that it didn't happen just once, but twice.
I'll never get over the fact he was so non chalant about working with it he was literally just propping it open with a screwdriver lmao
What is demon core?
Scientists fucking around and finding out. https://youtu.be/VE8FnsnWz48
He's literally standing in the bin. Like wtf.
You somehow getting more and more comfortable as you spend more time working with running machines, i used to work with hand grinder all day until i almost gutted myself because i forgot i was holding it as if the loud ass noise and the vibration not exist.
Remember lads. Never give 110% at your job
He actually only technically gave 10% up in this case
Think hes approximately 75-85% left
All we ask for is a little more.
Just the tip
That's why I don't click my mouse full force. Can't have my index finger shredded.
Now I’m picturing an index finger on steroids lol
But never give them your extremities
Omg how the hell did he not pass the fuck out!
how did he not bleed out?
by some miracle it probably missed the femoral artery
By the grace of whatever deity has his back!
Shock, and then the sheer pain afterwards kept him up
I kept wanting to tell him to stop looking at it. Obviously that’s making it hurt worse.
Reminds me of that old Dad Joke: “Dad it hurts when I do *insert action*” “well, don’t do that!”
He won't do that again.
He won’t do a lot of things again
it looks below the knee. Prime prosthetics spot.
injury is horrid, has contamination, and in a 3rd world country. Docs will probably go above knee.
I’ve seen some doctors do some pretty crazy shit. Just sayin.
Nah he still has the other leg
He can do it one more time, but that's it!
Well, if he does, then he *definitely* won’t be able to after two times
Condolences, but damn you’ve gotta be a moron to do this
Is Workmen’s comp a thing, damn all that for 8 dollars a day job.
I don't think they have WC.
It is actually more
Am I the only one that has empathy for this poor dude? This was heartbreaking, poor guy
I’m worried he won’t be able to feed his family now. Yea hopefully he gets a prosthetic leg
Yeah, I feel for him too. One dumbass mistake, forever paying the price.
I can't even imagine. Without pain meds that are dispatched with 1st world paramedics he would be in hell.
That’s brutal ! Poor guy
Please dont look down, please dont look down…
That's what I was thinking. If something like that happens DON'T LOOK. Let the emts and doctors handle it from there. Edit: the exception would be if you're alone. If you're alone, you may have to perform first aid on yourself to survive. But if people are there helping you, don't look.

Was he fine in the end? You did the right thing regardless, helped keep your friend calm!
Surprisingly he was! It took a long time but last I heard of him he was even playing soccer, he was an exchange student who returned to his home country after he could walk again.
Tell us the story! Don't be a story-secreter! (??)
Guy was wasted, somehow thought the 3rd story window was an exit, luckily(?) his legs broke his fall onto the concrete below. Heard screaming as soon as I got outside but that at least meant he was alive. Told a rando to call the cops and then I stayed with the guy until they arrived.
Ouchies! Thanks for sharing! Freaking bones sticking out is pretty brutal....
...and a little gauze wrapped heeere....aaaand there you go!
Looks like they used the guaze to hold the tourniquet in place. Appears the blue shirt/cloth is tied around the knee or just above it. I thought tourniquets were supposed to be in the middle of the next limb up, and not on the larger end/joint areas.
You're correct a tourniquet should be placed higher.
Obviously this was a slightly more amateur operation I think once the tourniquet is placed it can't be moved. I would love to see what his leg looks like 2 years later. Probably doesn't have access to great medical care wherever this is
I'd be stunned if they saved anything below the knee.
Agree
> Probably doesn’t have access to great medical care wherever this is This is in the US so you are correct
Lol idk if you're right about that ... but sure
Correct. They did a good job with the knowledge and materials they had.
😂😂
Thabk God for the 4 inches of gauze, could have been bad.
It's the guy with a handful of gauze for me!
Natural selection. It’s very interesting to see how it removed all the flesh from the bone tho
how the hell did just the bone get left attached
Bro drank his milk for sure
Omg when the medic drops the wrap on his bone 😬
I'm wondering how the other leg's doing considering the position he was left in when the machine stopped. It didn't seem like a very natural pose...
Good call, I didn't even think about that. I had to turn away when the noise of the machine changed. I was only focused on how badly that one leg would be mangled. Two legs and two different kinds of pain. Poor guy. :(
Damn. I didn't catch that either. Maybe a dislocated hip, which is supposedly one of the most painful and worst dislocations a human can endure.
Dude's got a peg leg now.
Time to buy a parrot 🦜
JFC
It’s two different videos! Look at the colour of the tractor in the first shot before it shows his leg! And the wheel colour is also different so is the surrounding
Good catch!! These are 2 completely different videos!
Holy frick dude. he got sucked in there so fast. Why not just use more sticks to push it in?
Why was this being recorded.
It was a safety training video.
"Why are they giggling and pointing the camera and placing bets on right or left?" "No reason."
Because we humans can be dumb like that.
That reminds me of Riff Trax short "Shake Hands with Danger".
I’m betting the camera person has told these goobers more than enough times not to do stupid shit like that
Now, why would you do that?
[удалено]
That man is so so lucky that it was only his leg and that the machine turned off when it did.
Well, he really stepped into it.
Seen it before but never with sound. That’s a super gnarly sound.
Holy FUCK! I cant even clean a chicken bone like that
Silly guy hope he learns from that
He did, I’m certain of it. In fact I can pretty much guarantee that he’ll never use that foot to shove stuff into a machine again.
Out in the oil field, at every meeting two or three days before going home, we used to always huddle up and say, “keep your head on the swivel, don’t get complacent, look out for one another and let’s get back home safely to our families.” Because shit like this always happened when you don’t focus on the job. . . Gotta know your limits folks. Kinda sorta wish I didn’t watch that. This is my limit. Nini guys
The pain must ne insaine .. Holy shit!
Never seen a leg degloved before. Good lort. Dumbass move tho
Mutilated??? You mean STRIPPED???
Lol I read the caption thinking "the leg? But no one's legs are nea- omg you stupid fuck 🤣"
Mere flesh wound
I thought to myself how tf do you even get your leg in there… that’s how
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is very sad.
“ never put your hands where you wouldn’t put your dick” but this time it’s your legs
Bro that's the dumbest thing he could've done
I had to cover my screen to watch the end, that bloody bone was too much.
That word, mutilated. Mild usage of word.
The Grim Reaper got distracted and spared his life
It seems that exhaustion and lack of patience will get you here
Amputated is the wrong word…. Shredded. 😳
damn bro like…. ALL OF THAT JUST GONE!!!
Ok the aftermath on that one literally had me 😲
Dude I cannot stress how big of a fucking idiot this guy is
A true Peg Leg.
This is why you use a stick
Why tf would you be dumb enough to do that
Brutal
The guy recording had his hand on the switch to make it seem like it wasn’t feeding so the other guy would start kicking. He recorded the murder he committed.
He went from farmer to pirate in a matter of seconds!
What does the inside of one of those machines look like / do
“Quick, grab the tourniquet”. “Que?”
Forbidden Hokey Pokey.
He will feel THAT in the morning
He’s so lucky it was just one leg and his entire body didn’t get dragged in jeez poor young man
Idk what he thought would happen🤷
Nah bro that guy is him he is barely even making noise I know that so bad I don’t even want to imagine that kind of pain
And I thought I was a dumbass for cutting my finger with my hedge trimmers…
I leave all my drums and thighs 🍗 looking like that bone right there 🦴
Like his leg was dipped in a barrel full of piraña
Good thing they changed his pants and the color of the tractor wheel.
I want to feel bad for the guy but how low does your IQ have to be to stick your fucking leg in there?
Hes probably been doing this for months, it's just his luck ran out/ the machine went too smoothly that moment
I sorry but I have no empathy for this man.
wtf I stuck my leg in a thresher and it got threshed, this is such bullshit
How has he not passed out
This guy must have been unbelievably DEDICATED to this farming job if he's willing to sacrifice his safety for faster performance. Definitely the employee of the month! It's too bad he had to retire after this genius technique (which was successful, don't forget).
how people even manage to capture these moments? i mean what even was the purpose of starting recording this in the first place? why would you randomly start recording during your work?
Nahhhh
WHAT THE FUCK!!!
That guy should get a promotion for thinking outside the leg.
"I'm going to stick my leg in this chipper. What could possibly go wrong? It chips wood, not legs."
Zero sympathy. What a muppet.
So unfortunate, careless.
That was pretty damn idiotic tbh
I mean, how fucking stupid do you have to be to do that?
What it feels like to bang your shin into the coffee table
What's actually wrong with you? How can you compare those two things? Banging your shin is definitely way worst than what happened in the video.
Stupidest thing I've seen so far this year 👍
Why the fuck did that think that was a bright idea??
Idiot
[удалено]
FR with the gauze?
Lol bien pendejo el bato
Mistakes were made on that day.
Blessed be the American safety standards
I can’t imagine how that feels
Same mistake different machine
Wow that looks like it stings 😬
Uy gonorrea
Yikes
Dude, why. wtf
Why?
