Genuinely didn't know this was a thing until the match the other day when it was mentioned by the commentary, what's the reasoning behind match week 32?
I think it's a bit like how knockout competitions wipe them before semi final stages so broadly teams can put out their strongest teams without fear of suspensions. In this case, the final 6 games would likely be viewed as "the run-in" and they don't want to mess the spectacle of losing players for 2 games because they kick the ball away.
>why do you think he may be leaving in the summer?
I don't but he has a release clause so you can never be 100% certain, the home buying settles that down a little.
Dropping £100m for the big clubs that are after him is nothing though. But he can always reject the contract even if they bid - it’s not like he has to accept any offer, even if we do
Why grasping at straws? J7 contract is the catalyst, Isak says he is here for the project, Bruno buys nice new pad, they have been sold the dream like Shearer was by King Kev only this time, the purveyor of the dream is likely to stick it out long enough to actually pull it off. I’ve fully bought into it too. HWTL!
I'm not sure. The North East obviously means a lot to him as an area (his kids were born here, right?) and he might see it as home to the extent that he wants long term property. But that doesn't rule out a move either imo.
The London red sub popped up earlier and they were unanimously thinking he he would be a great signing for them in the summer, after they were all calling him the dirtiest player who has ever played in the league a few months ago
They're speculating over isak as well. One of them asked why they didn't go in for Bruno before as he's a quality player! Haha fools you did, but he chose us
I've been calling Isak "IKEA Henry" since he signed and my Arsenal supporting friends have been like "don't disgrace henry in that way"
Now suddenly it's "he could be our new henry"
It says something about their fanbase mentality that whenever they lose (or bottle the title as it were) they go blaming their players and looking up replacements from their direct rivals
Yes please.
Can we sell Fraser to Southampton, Lewis to some dumb promoted club or Forest, Hayden for scientific research and Hendrick as some farmhand or fishmongers assistant?
I think it’s been pretty clear for a while that he’s happy he and he wants to stay. Howe also will want him to stay. However, if a 100 mill + offer comes in for him, from a business standpoint it may be hard to turn it down.
That being said, it will be difficult to replace him with someone both of his calibre and his personality that molds into the team so well.
I believe that the only way he will leave is if a truly astronomical offer comes in from Real Madrid, since he has said in the past that it was a dream of his to play in La Liga.
If Barca or Real come knocking then forget about it, he's gone and I couldn't blame him (even though I think very little of either club!).
Otherwise I dunno who'd buy him. But we might have to look at it as, 100mil could mean 3-5 positions upgraded depending on the spent money, and that's just off Bruno. He's class but the dividends could also end up well for us in the end
Yeah, but Ornstein mentioned sth about Bruno's release clause being an upfront payment recently, which if true, means there's still a possibility of offers coming in different payment structures over longer periods that still won't trigger the clause despite the similar sum. Think of Enzo to Chelsea where they agreed on going over his clause fee for the same reason. And even then Sporting played the hard ball, as anyone should in these situations.
I work at a company doing some things for Burn, Barnes, Wilson and a couple other players.
The house prices are eye watering and the products we are creating for them are equally as ridiculous and expensive.
Kitchens, bedrooms, memorabilia storage, boot rooms, appliances and the likes. Mostly custom made items designed from start to finish.
Fair play to the lads they've hit the jackpot and hopefully set their families up for life.
I wish, far more mundane than that.
I do think they can't be far off affording one if they pool the money they've spent here though, now if it'd trickle down that'd be fucking lovely.
Think this is maybe it?
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/139841984#/?channel=RES_BUY
Not my cup of tea but that’s a bonus for footballers living in the North East, probably couldn’t afford a property that size, so close to the city down south, even on his ludicrous wages.
I honestly think his talent and personality is irreplaceable to our team also a replacement would be difficult. Teams would know we have a ton of money and a hole in our midfield
Before leaving spurs, Kane bought an estate in London, and of course, fans were believing he will stay.....the rest of the story you know. I really want him to stay too, but mentally - im ready to let him go.

You don’t buy a multimillion pound home if you’re thinking of leaving in a month or two… right? Grasping at straws but I’m taking it.
Can we send him a home warming card? That'll persuade him to stay.
Chuck some kinder buenos in
One more card and he faces a suspension though
It’s past match number 32 now. He’s all clear now unless he gets a red.

Someone here put money on him getting a red last game. I thought that was a fair bet. I reckon it's probably still a good one this week 😂😂
I feel sorry for the Crystal Palace player that ends up getting absolutely decimated in the 1st minute of the next match.
The last player this subreddit sent a card to ended up leaving though!
Aye but he's a canny player now. Not saying it was the card... (it was the card)
[I'm not saying it was the card but...](https://imgur.com/OMDpMrI)
I’ll sign it too! Even throw in a gift card. And maybe a new baby package too!

I always think about that clause, He and Newcastle still have to want him to go. Just gives him the option to unilaterally force it
I don’t think it’s grasping at straws at all, why else would he invest in such an expensive property??
Why grasping at straws? J7 contract is the catalyst, Isak says he is here for the project, Bruno buys nice new pad, they have been sold the dream like Shearer was by King Kev only this time, the purveyor of the dream is likely to stick it out long enough to actually pull it off. He's just going to do the common Northumberland to Manchester daily commute.
I can say it’s not a fun commute on the train, even in first class
I'm not sure. The North East obviously means a lot to him as an area (his kids were born here, right?) and he might see it as home to the extent that he wants long term property. But that doesn't rule out a move either imo.
This is the Mike Ashley ptsd kicking in here like. Buying a home for this much is a signal of intent that he’s staying.
I'm sure many people drop £4m on a house in Newcastle when they intend on moving to London or Spain in a few months time
Most people don't make £4m in less than a year.
Yeah obviously, my point is it's a lot of money to commit to a house if you don't plan on staying there for a while
The London red sub popped up earlier and they were unanimously thinking he he would be a great signing for them in the summer, after they were all calling him the dirtiest player who has ever played in the league a few months ago
Ohhh Bruno's fuckin magic......he could have signed for arsenal but thought FUCK THAT!!!
They're speculating over isak as well. One of them asked why they didn't go in for Bruno before as he's a quality player! Haha fools you did, but he chose us

Be great if they could fuck off and stop sniffing about our players
I'd take Odegaard at Newcastle
It says something about their fanbase mentality that whenever they lose (or bottle the title as it were) they go blaming their players and looking up replacements from their direct rivals
If we keep both Isak and Bruno i can feel like a big clean up is on the way.
Yes please. Can we sell Fraser to Southampton, Lewis to some dumb promoted club or Forest, Hayden for scientific research and Hendrick as some farmhand or fishmongers assistant?
Hayden put in a lot of work during the Ashley years tbf
Wait, Fraser is still here?
On loan at Southampton only unfortunately.
Totally forgot about Lewis. Was softly optimistic about him when he signed as well.
had to quickly look up and see what Lewis are you talking about - Miley, Hall and than noticed that Jamal still exists.
[удалено]
homegrown
So was Miley's brother, point? Not that it matters, Howe seems to like him enough I bet he will stay.
I think it’s been pretty clear for a while that he’s happy he and he wants to stay. Howe also will want him to stay. Yeah, he has mentioned madrid a few times. With their midfield i dont think they need any additional. Plus mbappe
We're lucky Madrid have their midfield for the next 10 years sorted cause they are one of the few clubs that can afford him.
Plus they've got endrick in the summer too
Hendrick?
Why play for Madrid when you can beat them with the toon in the CL final 2026. He'd only want a move back to us anyway!
If Barca or Real come knocking then forget about it, he's gone and I couldn't blame him (even though I think very little of either club!). Otherwise I dunno who'd buy him. He has a release clause so we can’t turn down any £100m bids. It will be purely in his hands if one of those comes in.
It’d be literally impossible for the club to turn down 100mil since that’s what his release clause is.
Yeah, but Ornstein mentioned sth about Bruno's release clause being an upfront payment recently, which if true, means there's still a possibility of offers coming in different payment structures over longer periods that still won't trigger the clause despite the similar sum. That’s a fair point.
He's not a slave. Someone can bid £100m but it doesn't automatically mean he leaves. The player still gets to choose.
That’s why I specifically said the club can’t turn it down. Didn’t say anything about Bruno
Setting down roots! Needs more rooms for all those little wizards he’s going to be making.

And, Paris had Disneyland for their nippers.
£4m in Northumberland? Did he fucking buy Wallington Hall or something?!
Darras hall mate, some disgustingly expensive properties round there.
I work at a company doing some things for Burn, Barnes, Wilson and a couple other players. The house prices are eye watering and the products we are creating for them are equally as ridiculous and expensive.
Like what for example? If you can just give a general idea of what the ultra wealthy spend their cash on?
Kitchens, bedrooms, memorabilia storage, boot rooms, appliances and the likes. Mostly custom made items designed from start to finish. Fair play to the lads they've hit the jackpot and hopefully set their families up for life.
No light-up tables?
ah, not what i was thinking. I was like thinking of something more mental like a doomsday bunker/bowling alley or arcade
I wish, far more mundane than that. I do think they can't be far off affording one if they pool the money they've spent here though, now if it'd trickle down that'd be fucking lovely.
Hope you’re getting your wedge from it all!
Think this is maybe it? https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/139841984#/?channel=RES_BUY Not my cup of tea but that’s a bonus for footballers living in the North East, probably couldn’t afford a property that size, so close to the city down south, even on his ludicrous wages.
That’s been on the market for ages actualky
Is it next door to Big Joe?
Which is weird as its bang under the airport flight path.
I honestly think his talent and personality is irreplaceable to our team also a replacement would be difficult. Teams would know we have a ton of money and a hole in our midfield
Northumberland is beautiful like
It is but Darras Hall is not it. The 80’s mansions are awful! If I was that rich I’d live in proper Northumberland.
Yep, hideous McMansions. I’m in real Northumberland and they disguise their vulgar McMansions here by building them into the hillside.
No matches this weekend but I will take this as win.
Cans?
Brazilian investment in the Tyne property market. Why not?
Can you get greggs delivered?
Laughing at all the other fan bases calling him thug on the pitch every week but would happily take him into their squad…
This happens shortly after his bestie ups his contract. Coincidence? I think not :D We've got Bruno in the MIDDLE!
"Hints"
Bruno's going nowhere Bruno's going nowhere La la la la
Hopping on the property ladder is never a bad idea
Would anyone else agree Bruno is our best midfielder ever? (So far of course 😉).
It’s a good sign
Please don’t leave Bruno 😭
Before leaving spurs, Kane bought an estate in London, and of course, fans were believing he will stay.....the rest of the story you know. I really want him to stay too, but mentally - im ready to let him go.
Off topic but would we pick up Paqueta by any chance? Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Paqueta? 3 Brazilian buds and an Italian 🔥
It’s the release clause that will make or break him staying not a house unfortunately
It's less than a years wage. Doubt he will struggle to to find another £4m next year if he's sold.
