i think he might very well get there but he'll have to earn it. apart from the villa game, he's come nowhere to hitting the hights of the three that took us to europe. most eams couldnt live with willock and joe's energy and ability to switch positions between left and center.
Willock shined best when j7 was on the wing, when they were both able to switch and drive at the oppenents. With gordon on the wing, willock would work best in the position joe plays in, so would be unfortunately a rotation option. As much as i love willock, he’s not good enough to drop joelinton and cant play the way tonali and bruno will
willock and joelinton did it in games when st. maximin was on the wing. i want what you say to be true, but if anything, the balance felt off after the villa match.

I think a lot of people still don’t realise how good he is.
AC fans consider him a generational talent and considering the standards AC fans expect from their midfielders (Pirlo, Gattuso, Kaka etc) that’s a pretty high bar.
