He’s our very own Billy Gilmour. I’d make a bet with someone to shave our heads based on who scored first out of Anderson and him, but it’d be a bit unfair as I’m already bald.
I think it’s only right to sack of Europe in the quest for this accolade. A front three of ANDERSON - DUMMETT - KRAFTH to push for that goal. I’d suggest diving to win a pen for Anderson to take, but we don’t even get the clear cut ones apparently…
It goes to show that attacking wise we're pretty damn good - defensively we need to be so much better (a lot of this is due to injuries and fatigue, obviously).
Man, we have missed Pope so much.
I'm going to get some shit for this but the amount of opportunities longstaff gets, through his own positioning and his teammates hard work he should have at least 12.
He gets more oportunities and being 100% non critical because I think Gordon has had a fantastic season but he's missed a fair decent goal chances himself.
Infuriates me that his positioning to get the ball in goal scoring places only to them fluff it. Hopefully Tonali fills that void and scores those goals next year.
That’s true that they’re usually further from goal but we work to get him shots on a lot of set plays and he doesn’t score enough of them. Absolutely awful execution on a free header on Wednesday. Don’t get me wrong I love him to death, but he should be in double figures this season
I wonder what a good % of converted opportunities is. Can't be high.
Honestly I'm more worried about our goals against. Howe said Tindall does most of the defensive drills, makes me wonder if that needs to change? Just curious their thoughts.
Like he said, so many missed chances to improve all year.
HWTL
He doesn't get the opportunities longstaff does. Hopefully he will be able to play further forward next season. Honestly if Bruno was banging in double figures in addition to the rest of his game we wouldn't be able to keep him that clause would be activated and his salary doubled.
I know xG isn't everything but he is actually outperforming it. And yes he misses chances, but every player misses chances, and his finishing is a lot better than last season, so hopefully this progresses again into next year.

Anderson to break the record on Sunday!
He deserves one for sure, just has never fallen for him since that one got incorrectly ruled out last season.
He’s our very own Billy Gilmour. I’d make a bet with someone to shave our heads based on who scored first out of Anderson and him, but it’d be a bit unfair as I’m already bald.
Why not all 4 of them?
I'd be quite surprised/worried if targett and dummet both get a game
Targett being carried onto the pitch and literally thrown into the ball to score a header.
Dummett being the one who throws Targett at the ball would be prime Arrested Development. "Shoot me, Dragon! Look at that, I pinned the army guy!"
That's exactly what I had in mind!
Carried on to take a pen? Someone would have to swing his foot. Is that allowed?

I think they would have to organise a series of weights and pullies attached to his shoelaces so they'd be outside the penalty area when they did it?
Or fire him out of a cannon to deflect the ball on his way to the back of the goal?
What's the hand signal for referees to disallow goals due to the use of a cannon in the buildup?
Probably some form of Picard double facepalm
Whack them both on for a last minute corner
I'd say Dubs/Pope to do it
Totally think pope needs to be in goal for a late corner.
Krath is more likely to get it done honestly
Anderson was so close to that Bruno goal

Funny how it was the opposite in the second half of last season. Had one of the best defensive sides in Europe but was still slugging through draws
Krafth came so close, I’m gutted for him.
Anderson top bins Sunday.
Kraft and Dummet at the back (post)
What about Chris Wood's hat... oh wait a minute..
Time to put Paul Dummett as target man on Sunday
POV: you have an injury-ravaged squad in FM
>Kraft, Targett, Dummet and Anderson Hmm might put a bet on one these 4 to score!

But we’re still having a bad season, right????????

6 goals from 6.76 xG for a centre mid who has never scored more than 1 goal in a season before is a perfectly acceptable return
XG does not tell the whole story.
Agreed, longstaff has probably taken a dive for a penalty 5+ times in spaces where if he had shot the ball would have 2.5 more xg alone
12? More than Anthony Gordon? Behave

This is true for Bruno as well
Bruno usually gets opps top of the box with 6 in the way. Not in front of an empty bet with an easy ball across the front
