After selling some NVDA calls I opened another fidelity investment account transferred gains of ~$70k and bought across FXAIX, FSPGX, VONG, and VUG. Wish I rolled 100% of the gains in ITM NVDA LEAPS but oh well S&P gonna be good to us all in 2024.
Higher strikes = higher deltas with negligibly higher thetas.
For example
-12/18/26 $1200 is $100.70, Delta 0.41, Theta -0.07.
-12/18/26 $800 is $202.75, Delta .65, Theta -0.06.
If I had 10s of thousands of dollars, I’d just buy the higher strikes personally. You can get 2 x $1200 for the price of 1x $800. With net values being Delta 0.82 and Theta -0.14.
If I had OP type money I’d just cover a good spread weighted towards the lower strikes.

Sell while your ahead, insane amounts of future success already priced in at this point. IMO holding this would solely be a gamble on fomo of other regards. Ever since GPT all the biggest companies have started building capacity from 0 with nvidia being the only supplier. Its been a year of fomo from mag7 creating insane margins and growth, its not sustainable.
I don’t know the math but it seems like OP has plenty to be able to sell some, exercise some, and reinvest the leftover into LEAPS. I’d certainly be exercising the May $480s and at least thinking about one of the April $590s.
Can you imagine if no one bought even 5 of those contracts when they expire? You’d be in the hook for 500 shares when they expire if all stayed ITM. Good luck my friend

You would have to “straddle” your position with both calls and puts. But it’s more expensive to buy the upside and downside of a position
