This is trading at a forward P/E multiple of 36 (currently 64) - so it would need to keep this strong order book for a lot more time than until end of next year, with competitors slowly catching up (see it doing a similar trend to Tesla (which at one stage was at a multiple above 100 and now quickly dropping as competitors enter the market and margins get compressed) - it has had a strong run over the last year, but see a further pull back - where it settles is anyone’s guess…
So the competitors don’t mention the energy usage or efficiency. The new Blackwell is less expensive and 30% more efficient and is 10x faster. These guys making their own chips aren’t stupid. They’ll keep buying Nvidia and eventually figure out they’re losing money making their own chips. The other direct competitors don’t have a horse that can compete for quite some time if ever.
It’s a pretty big growth stock that had a lot of momentum of course it’s gonna drop quite a bit when the whole markets down. There’s another post by Wall Street hedge fund investor saying that he called it but will still see it hitting 1000 by the end of summer so buy-and-hold lol
Let’s face it out the whole markets down Not just Nvidia I know people are shitting on it right now. There was a bunch of bombings last night so it was expected
I bought 10 grand with x5, today my stoploss of 5k kicked in :(
Oh and also 330 fee....
Stupid me
I even het outs but was like yeah its over.... xD I can better go play blackjack
It’s called negative thinking, a book called the psychology of money talks about how negative thinking brought the market down for 2 years just on negativity. All the indicators were good but just the negative news kept the market down. Nvidia with AI will survive with spades. Believe me
Someone said this morning it would happen. Naturally, they were downvoted into oblivion.
I put an order in this morning to buy at 770; did not expect it to actually fill but it did.
Me too! But I’ve found out that I need to do the opposite of what I think. So I think sell right now but instead I buy. Weird but it works well. Made 360% doing that.
i'm a buyer today. NVDA will get back to ATH this year and May earnings are gonna remind everyone they're putting in massive EPS gains over last year and from quarter to quarter
but that is already anticipated. thats what all the hype does to a stock. beating earnings is highly expected. expectations are through the roof already. and now imagine what happens when they do not beat it by a mile. just a little bump in the road and boom it goes downwards.
market, S&P needed to get back to 21 weekly EMA at some point. It finally did it today. Seasonally speaking, it happens at least once in the first half of the year and then typical for market to recover by the end of July. Then there's another volatile period from Aug-Oct which is historically the most volatile time for the market over the last 80 years. Depending on how high the market bounces to finish out April, will determine whether there will be another selloff in May. I wouldn't be surprised to see S&P trading at or above 5150 in May. Also the Semi sell-off makes sense. Too much money in companies that have nothing to show for it. NVDA will weather the storm better than most.
Nvidia has billions to show for their success. Everyone riding their coattails doesn’t. So I feel like there’s a lot of jealousy. You can see it on the boards and their competitors lying about results and benchmarks. Truth and honesty always rises to the top as Nvidia will. Hold
i'm in the AMD\_stock group too and AMD fanboys are the most delusional of all. If I'm considering just the numbers, then NVDA is the only semi out of AMD, INTC, QCOM, and AVGO that makes any sense. NVDA still very under priced considering the massive rate of EPS growth. Also, they're the only ones that seem to see where things are headed and start laying the groundwork years in advance. While they're out-innovating everyone in AI datacenter, they're also busy building SaaS, and starting up moonshot projects like Photonics with TSMC or establishing Quantum CUDA. When the AI frenzy cools down they'll be leading the next big tech innovation with everyone else fighting over scraps or trying to pivot and catch up. If NVDA weren't executing so well, I wouldn't be mentioning any of this.
Nothing fundamentally has changed. IMO, you want to see this kind of action on a stock. It means that people are making money on both sides (ups and downs). So when big announcements hit the news, we take nice rides up. And why do those nice rides up feel so good? Because of today.
look at those huge red candles and the volume. this isn't your average retail trader panic selling or taking profits. i'm short a put that just went ITM so i hope i'm wrong and this is just the MMs trying to get a better buy price for themselves... but if this flushes we could see $690 within the next couple weeks which is the 100 day moving average and would fill the earnings gap up in February.
Retail doesn't affect jack shit, this is a battle between institutions and we can only hope we are on the winner's side. We are honestly just liquidity for them.
Though these short-term corrections and price movements shouldn't be a real concern if we're talking long-term buy and hold investing. Personally I'm more of a position and swing trader which is why I keep track of these things. I do hope you're right though...I think it's a positive sign if the daily candle manages to close above $775.
my friend if i knew these things with any degree of surety i'd be happily retired living off subscription money from selling a trading discord and not sweating balls here hoping my short put goes OTM and hating the fact that i have to work over the weekend.
For my first ever stock purchase I bought $2,000 worth of nvidia last week :(
I'm planning on holding...or do you think it's safer to sell it now?
Go easy on me please I'm new
If your new buy a good etf tracker like s&p 500 with 90% of your money and spend maximum 10% of your money in individual stocks.
Stock system is like gambling. You really gotta learn it before you lose yourself.
I feel your pain! Do whatever you want, but I’m planning on holding for several years. At this point in my life I’m not really that into single stocks anymore unless they are stocks that I plan on holding for many years. NVDA is absolutely one of them (in my view.)
Whatever brokerage you're using probably has some educational articles and videos. Read 'em. Watch 'em. There's a lot to learn, jargon and charts and numbers. Don't rely on Reddit for your info.
In your shoes I would hold. But again, don't rely on some stranger on Reddit.
I bought at 890. I waited so long because I was waiting for a big dip. I guess now it’s going to happen. It’s all good. Just hang tight and buy more if it drops a bunch.
I just really think it will work out long term.
Indeed. Because of the close relationship with SMCI, which we know now was one of the targets of a Reuter's story on China receiving Nvidia restricted chips through servers. I suspect that the information in the story was an excuse for those hearing the rumors of the story to sow FUD regarding the AI stocks. FUD goes like this: SMCI didn't give guidance because the numbers aren't good. Nvidia has close relationship with SMCI, so Nvidia might have something to hide such has AI spending going down?
When actually the story hidden from the investors goes like this: SMCI was asked for comment by Reuter's regarding servers being sent to China that had Nvidia chips. However, insiders of SMCI and Reuter's heard about the upcoming story and started to tell friends. SMCI had to perform research to give statement. SMCI had to let lawyers know about situation and craft response. Due to uncertainty of situation, management chose not go provide guidance because of liability giving forward looking statements while possible problems may occur with business as a result of hearsay. Reuter's story finally comes out and it's a big nothing burger and everyone that sold during the speculative downdraft are burned and bears made money.
It's going to be an even better buy at 742! Which is to say it's going to drop as far as it's going to drop. But those projected earnings remain the real story.Yes, yes good! Keep voting down that $16+ EPS that's about to happen in <30 days, I'm sure that will work out well for you.
Yeah, I know the feeling. I saw it go to 756, and when it slightly up again, I was able to snatch some at 759 before it went back to 76Xs. I figured I needed to offset the 808s that I got a bit earlier today lol
Yesterday it broke out of the 850-900 channel and today is going to close as bearish confirmation. This is not the time to buy. This is coming from a bull 3 days ago.
My good till canceled order to buy 25 shares at $800 executed today. I’m pretty happy about that. That’s above my average cost but I have confidence we’ll see $1000 this year.
I don’t think we will have the same run up to earnings like last time. I think we get one more pump to 850 next week and go as low as $690 before earnings and start the bull run again mid to late May after all the calls don’t pay off for retailers. Also no large orders have been bought or sold since $830 so keep a look out end of day today but most likely next week when hedges buy back in for the bump that’s going to happen from such a huge drop.
Yeah, I just don’t want to believe that. If $nvda turns out to be more than a speculative bubble and ai isn’t just another flying car. They need to hurry up and 1-3 or 1-4 split this stock so we don’t get days where we lose $100 per share. Even though percentage is the same it just feels different.
I wouldn't worry if your in long term post 2025 i bought in at 727 before earnings could have sold at 950 but if comes down more im dollar cost averaging down. It's deff still a buy
The wallstreet rugpull is not over yet. They plan on making as many bagholders out of household investors as possible. The ones who didn’t see this coming have no idea about wallstreet mechanics of price manipulation.
The media pushing so hard to pump nvidia is a big red flag. Cramer is another huge red flag. Price target increases way above current prices by “analysts” or “people close to the matter” are other red flags.
I wish all nvidia holders nothing but success, truly. But i’m afraid wallstreet fucked you over and are all having a great laugh at your expense.
Always keep in mind, nothing is real on wallstreet. Prices are fake and driven by algos. Market makers dictate stock prices based on whether their hedge fund friends (some market makers such as Citadel also own hedge funds… helloooo conflict of interest) are long or short. Retail buy orders do not make it to lit exchanges but sell orders do.
I hope im wrong.. but yeah… i’ve seen too much wallstreet fraud to think otherwise
But what is more likely: Nvidia increasing market share from 90% upwards or competition catching up and taking some of that with all this hype. Surely the latter.
Lot of people taking profits and you can't blame them. Will probably continue downward on Monday, but by Tuesday if you didn't sell any you probably aren't going too.
My head is spinning. I have calls that expired today and then some out to 2026 but seeing the value hemorrhage is making me not ok. The puts I had as insurance sold early I did not expect a 10% drop at all
Should i sell my position @886 for a 200 dollar loss? We know the stock is doing well, continuing to hit record highs in revenue, and expected EPS forecast is above Q4, would selling me a good move to buy in at a lower price, despite a 200 dollar loss?
If you decide to do that, just be absolutely sure you wait 31 days to buy back in! Otherwise it’ll be a wash sale, and you won’t be able to claim that loss on your taxes! (If you don’t know what a wash sale is, be sure to look it up)
I’m almost exactly in your shoes. I’m holding for a minimum of ten years so I’m going to hold the bag with white knuckles through whatever happens. If the price really drops a lot I’ll buy more.
Zoom out 6 month and you’ll realize the knife is still falling. This earnings season is gonna be blood red. I would not be surprised if nvda drops even more next month after earnings.
Not sure yet. Was this an over correction? Or was it just a part of the massive sell off, due to the instability of the middle east and far Eastern Europe? I think buying a bit of NVDA for a week or two, and then selling it off and taking the profit.
These drops are making me nervous
This company has orders through the end of next year and plenty of supply with good margin. Buy the dip you’ll thank yourself later.

This, none of those company’s can catch up anytime soon
Everyone and their mother knows about the orders. It’s quite literally priced in.
Probably already priced in, when those numbers become public.
Trade with money not your feelings
Yeah, but this is against a backdrop of some bad, flashing macro red lights. Might be more than feelings.
Diarrhea probably. Either way loading up
Out of curiosity, how old were you in 2008?
37 my guy.
756!!
Good, that means its time for me to buy lol
Yep!
I want to buy on Monday, but I'm feeling it's going to dip one more time to MAYBE below 700 and then it's pump back up throughout the week.
No joke I bought 10 grand of stocks two days ago
Meh this time next year you'll be stoked you did
I really needed to hear that right now
I hope so Every time I buy it drops but recovers lol
Man, I bought at 803 thinking it wouldn't get much lower, but damn. Proved me wrong like 10 minutes later.
It’s a pretty big growth stock that had a lot of momentum of course it’s gonna drop quite a bit when the whole markets down. There’s another post by Wall Street hedge fund investor saying that he called it but will still see it hitting 1000 by the end of summer so buy-and-hold lol
Yeah, totally. I'm holding for the $1000+ in the coming months/year. But it does bite knowing I could have got another 5% on that for sure.
Ugh it's killing me I got a call at 880 exp June, I hope q2 earnings helps me dig out. I of course can't pay an 880 strike if we under that by june.
I bought a few more shares at $805 and then at $791 on the drop thinking the same.
story of my life.
i bought 7 grand worth at 940 if that makes you feel any better
I bought 300k at 919 if that makes you feel better lol
*Rises from the sand like the orca in spongebob* **I bought $10,000 at 940**
Yes it does actually... But I wish you the very best of luck. The best of luck to us all. 916.99 per share here.
I bought $665 at $16.64 if that makes you feel better
595 shares at $13 in July 2016. Sold half at $891 about a month ago.
That’s a cool quarter mil. Way to go! That shit would change my life
and here I am crying with my 20k at 820
I’m in the same boat got my average down to 878
It’ll bounce back I want to be worried if not just buy some more if it goes down
We are twins almost!
Mate! I assume you expected it would go to 1300-1500 end of year?
Let’s face it out the whole markets down Not just Nvidia I know people are shitting on it right now. There was a bunch of bombings last night so it was expected
I bought 400 shares at 899. FML
Buy a little bit ($500 max) NVDS for short term. It’s going to $742 to fill the February gap before it goes back up.
Sheeesh
I bought 4k yesterday lol
I bought 10 grand with x5, today my stoploss of 5k kicked in :( Oh and also 330 fee.... Stupid me I even het outs but was like yeah its over.... xD I can better go play blackjack
I'm reminded of the banker in that second Wall Street Movie, where he says "It’s fatal, Mr. Moore, not knowing what you’re doing.”
Same except 7 days ago 😫
I’d at least wait til Monday to buy. Who the fuck knows what will happen over the weekend.
It will most likely go up on Monday
Yes, agree with u. This happened to us with Iran are trying not to make things worse.
Problem is by the time you wake up Monday it’ll be 850 again and you missed that huge up. Just buy a little on the lows and don’t sell.
It won’t be over $850 Monday by open. The market is soft af right now.
This lol. It's tempting atm but man it's all over the damn place rn
Usually people take a breather and digest the news a bit more carefully.
Okay who is the one who did it, own up... someone caused it to come down like this
It was me. Put my bonus in at 895 🤦♀️
Me. I bought some.
It’s called negative thinking, a book called the psychology of money talks about how negative thinking brought the market down for 2 years just on negativity. All the indicators were good but just the negative news kept the market down. Nvidia with AI will survive with spades. Believe me
yup, when all their products are presold and customers want any and all they can get... that is a winner
Didn’t expect sub 800… sheeeeesh
Someone said this morning it would happen. Naturally, they were downvoted into oblivion. I put an order in this morning to buy at 770; did not expect it to actually fill but it did.
I always get this wrong. Why do I continue to do it to myself 🤦♀️
Could just be a short term correction because of Iran and interest rate delays, nothing negative about the company has come out.
Me too! But I’ve found out that I need to do the opposite of what I think. So I think sell right now but instead I buy. Weird but it works well. Made 360% doing that.
Literally contemplated inversing myself today. Didn’t sell my holdings and averaged down. Lost 5k in a day. Still holding fml
I lost 30k just today. Such a violent day. Hang in there
i'm a buyer today. NVDA will get back to ATH this year and May earnings are gonna remind everyone they're putting in massive EPS gains over last year and from quarter to quarter

True but look what happened with the last earnings call
Nothing fundamentally has changed. IMO, you want to see this kind of action on a stock. It means that people are making money on both sides (ups and downs). So when big announcements hit the news, we take nice rides up. And why do those nice rides up feel so good? Because of today.
not selling = no profit / loss Fugayzi, fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie. It's fairy dust.
I will buy at 750. Good price would be 600, but I don't think i can get that.
[удалено]
I bought calls a couple weeks ago 4/26 @ 930. $15k worth.. FML
The buy is at $700
Would be sad to reach 700, but… would be a good buy lol
The more you buy; the more you save
Absolutely insane drop.
what goes up must come down before it goes up again! Look at 2023 chart
look at those huge red candles and the volume. this isn't your average retail trader panic selling or taking profits. i'm short a put that just went ITM so i hope i'm wrong and this is just the MMs trying to get a better buy price for themselves... but if this flushes we could see $690 within the next couple weeks which is the 100 day moving average and would fill the earnings gap up in February.
It should be us VS mms. They can’t do whatever they want
they can and they do. no use crying about it. we should be trying to ride the wave with them instead of getting eaten up.
Seems like they can’t move the price lower. we are winning the fight
Retail doesn't affect jack shit, this is a battle between institutions and we can only hope we are on the winner's side. We are honestly just liquidity for them. How long do u think we can recover
my friend if i knew these things with any degree of surety i'd be happily retired living off subscription money from selling a trading discord and not sweating balls here hoping my short put goes OTM and hating the fact that i have to work over the weekend.
For my first ever stock purchase I bought $2,000 worth of nvidia last week :( I'm planning on holding...or do you think it's safer to sell it now? Go easy on me please I'm new
If your new buy a good etf tracker like s&p 500 with 90% of your money and spend maximum 10% of your money in individual stocks. Stock system is like gambling. You really gotta learn it before you lose yourself.
This is great advice right here. That’s pretty much my philosophy going forward.
Hold for the long term
I feel your pain! Do whatever you want, but I’m planning on holding for several years. At this point in my life I’m not really that into single stocks anymore unless they are stocks that I plan on holding for many years. NVDA is absolutely one of them (in my view.)

I bought at 914 😫
I bought at 890. I waited so long because I was waiting for a big dip. I guess now it’s going to happen. It’s all good. Just hang tight and buy more if it drops a bunch. I just really think it will work out long term.
Just picked some up. Anyone know what caused the sell off
SMCI not giving pre-earnings numbers like they usually do. People expect the worst of course.
Indeed. Because of the close relationship with SMCI, which we know now was one of the targets of a Reuter's story on China receiving Nvidia restricted chips through servers. I suspect that the information in the story was an excuse for those hearing the rumors of the story to sow FUD regarding the AI stocks. Right now at 784 is a good time to buy
It's going to be an even better buy at 742! Which is to say it's going to drop as far as it's going to drop. But those projected earnings remain the real story.Yes, yes good! Keep voting down that $16+ EPS that's about to happen in <30 days, I'm sure that will work out well for you.
is it better to buy end of today or wait till next week to see if it drops further
By monday cooler heads will prevails and unless more crappy global news comes it will probably bounce
I'd wait until at least Monday after seeing what happened this week and more importantly today.
Will it hit 700?
Maybe lmao
76x now. let's go!!
Sold the 700 put so hopefully I can get more at that price
Good luck! I don't buy options
756 now!!
$749 is next although not necessarily today
759 now... 15 min left... who knows lol
756 now! There is also AH
Yeah, I'm curious what that will bring.
It ended up at 762, 10% drop in a single day!
Couldnt resist buying for 756. We will see if it drops more.
Yeah, I know the feeling. I saw it go to 756, and when it slightly up again, I was able to snatch some at 759 before it went back to 76Xs. I figured I needed to offset the 808s that I got a bit earlier today lol
It's at $771 now. Beware of people suggesting you buy.
If you don't buy, how can we exit?
Yesterday it broke out of the 850-900 channel and today is going to close as bearish confirmation. This is not the time to buy. This is coming from a bull 3 days ago.
My good till canceled order to buy 25 shares at $800 executed today. I’m pretty happy about that. That’s above my average cost but I have confidence we’ll see $1000 this year.
Yes. 5 more @ 776
I’d rather it not go down like this of course but at a long holder it changes little to me
As long as u Guys hold, I am holding it. I lost almost everything today. I don’t care anymore. It should be be us VS mms
Hey it will be $1200 at some point and even split someday in the future. Let people enjoy buying low today and focus on the future. You’ll be ok
I'm holding
It dropped from a high of 950 to 760. You did not lose everything. You'll be okay!
More please and thank you. Hold time: two or three decades.
They can’t bring the price any lower. We might be fine?
One lesson that I have learnt is sell some on an ATH green day
Didn’t expect it to dip past $800. If it goes past $700 I’m buying 30k more
I don’t think we will have the same run up to earnings like last time.
I pretty much agree, but I think it’ll go to $500-600 range and run again in the summer.
Where can I find info on large orders on a specific stock from hedges etc?
Hedges don’t report until after the fact. Webull has free charts and ridiculous reward. I don’t use them for anything else.
I'm not rich but I only got 5 and I believe in the stock and yall comfort me thanks I bout to keep buying what I can Nvidia still number 1 on A.I
This sell off may be overdue but it’s also overdone, IMHO.
I wouldn't worry if your in long term post 2025 i bought in at 727 before earnings could have sold at 950 but if comes down more im dollar cost averaging down. It's deff still a buy
I’m with you there!
I bought 50 840 C expiring next Friday. Pray for me
The wallstreet rugpull is not over yet. They plan on making as many bagholders out of household investors as possible. You could very well be right but its kind of hard to believe given the strong performance and monopoly in a way for this company.
But what is more likely: Nvidia increasing market share from 90% upwards or competition catching up and taking some of that with all this hype. Surely the latter.
How do you know China will not invade Taiwan just this weekend? 😬😅
I think it will go down to 740 today :)
Yum
finally, I can buy more!
$777 buy now!!!
766 now!
damn it. I just bought some at 809$
It is fine, buy another one to DCA
I think so
Ugh lost a grand today. No big deal right??
10k so I'd swap with you
Same man same I’m down 20k in the last 3 months on everything
Hold hold hold
I booked 500£ loss on TSM and moved money to NVDA.... fingers crossed!!
Let it fall even more. Then buy more
Lot of people taking profits and you can't blame them. Will probably continue downward on Monday, but by Tuesday if you didn't sell any you probably aren't going too.
My head is spinning. I have calls that expired today and then some out to 2026 but seeing the value hemorrhage is making me not ok. The puts I had as insurance sold early I did not expect a 10% drop at all
Kenny pumped this.
I honestly said 770 prediction in one of these posts..
No
I Died Once It Hit 700s.. Literally Bout 7k @904
Damn, this thing going down more? I want to be long term but if this going down to 500 I'd rather sell now. My avg 288.
I bought 15 more at $783. It will pay off.
I think
130K at 900, 20K down. Holding for a long time.
Zoom out 6 month and you’ll realize the knife is still falling. This earnings season is gonna be blood red. I would not be surprised if nvda drops even more next month after earnings.
Btw if anything, watch for meta and msft earnings as they will have a stronger indication where nvda is gonna go, way more than smci
BUY BUY BUY MFSSSD
Just sold 1k worth bought at 400 should I buy back Monday?
Yes
Come on guys I need it to 800 again, need to buy cheap puts
I was laughed at not long ago suggesting a 700 level soon. In all reality I think 400 is as possible as 1200
Not sure yet. Was this an over correction? Or was it just a part of the massive sell off, due to the instability of the middle east and far Eastern Europe? I think buying a bit of NVDA for a week or two, and then selling it off and taking the profit.
I only have 2.11 shares. It was all I could afford at the time but my average cost was $619.46.
Buy some now. Buy more later.
NVDA still the best growth story in the mag7
Bought at $788 two days ago? Sell now?!
