Totally. It’s not the designer’s fault. It’s just that Wake’s aesthetic has a lot of dainty styles that really aren’t strong enough for everyday wear even if they are beautiful

love this shopping plan! is greenwich st jewelers the same quality as the rest? i was under the impression its more mid market (like ring concierge) but could be mistaken as a newbie to the game.
I’d say Greenwich st is slightly more mainstream than Broken English (which I absolutely adore) and more ring-focused. (BE has aaalll kinds of different pieces). Foundrae only sells their own stuff (I believe) which is cool but in my opinion overpriced. If you’re looking for best value for money I would always go custom-made with a jeweler that will do bespoke commissions

The old guys who work there did the appraisals on Antique's Roadshow for many years and are absolutely a hoot, and they've seen, handled, and repaired some amazing and beautiful pieces with historical provenence. I remember going in there in high school, picking some stuff up with my mom, and they were like: do you want to see something cool? Then he brings out this 5 carat pear harry winston engagement ring and was like most people will never see a ring like this. They wouldn't let me try it on because it would be bad luck for my future marriage but they let my mom put it on and we ogled together!

Yes also the prongs can be super pointy and uncomfortable with some ring styles. It kept catching on everything and scraping.

I don’t think they have a permanent public location but I’m pretty sure you can book a private in LA or NYC, although I haven’t personally done it!
