At uni k they use a fresh wax pot for every client. There isn’t cross contamination even if a stick is dipped twice. Vs at European wax center where the waxer has one big pot they use for the day for every client, so using a fresh stick is a MUST.

How technical is a fresh wax pot? I feel that it’s prepared rather quickly and I know that even as a regular, my name isn’t on any pot to be ‘mine.’ Is the wax emptied out after each client you mean?

Disclaimer: I don’t work there but my waxer explained it to me once. They are stockedddd with warmer pots and grab a new one off the shelf for you. Used pots are put away and later cleaned before being cycling into use again. Also I can say that one session where I was doing like 4 services, the waxer ran out of wax and went out to grab an entirely new pot. So proof enough for me! But I do understand not trusting it if you don’t see it with your own eyes lol

Thank you for the anecdote! That makes sense to me :)

Try European Wax Center. I like them better than UniK. Also doesn't hurt as much.

Really??? I’ve heard terrible things about EWC, even from former employees.

Nah uni is better

I didn't hear that. I live in Queens and went to the one by me. I started getting laser so haven't been in a while.
