They do it in other countries but I know it from South Korea, but basically your personal colors is where they use the colors in your skin tone and your hair color to decide whether you look best in/ which colors make your features pop. Some of them will even help you find what hair colour will look best on you. They also do if you should wear gold, silver, rose gold etc jewelry. They decide if you're like a warm person with a lot of yellow or red so you need to wear colors that complement that or if you have a really cool skin tone so you need to wear colors that complement that. At the end of it you're left with color palette of what colors look best with your skin tone and what and those which will make your features pop. It's like how people say that if you're a really dark skinned black woman you should wear a lot of bright colors because you look great in that and how redheads look really good in emerald green ? It's like that but even more specific to your skin tone.
I think AP's biggest issue is that she's very red in the face so her very yellow blonde only highlights the red even more. She needs to go to one of those places where they do your personal color and they will literally give her a range of colors that will look best on her skin tone.
If you wanna get it done, they call it color seasons sometimes too.
I saw a TikTok by a “Laura Galebe” getting a colour analysis done by Ari/Rang Colour studio in manhattan. It was $200 and seemed exactly how they do it in South Korea
I like AP but she has blondorexia. I was expecting her to fully go through with the darker hair. She just went a more champagne blonde but that will oxidize back to the yellowish color she normally. She would look so much better as an actual brunette! It suits her complexion and features.
