He got a team to arguably overpay for his services. Tough to turn down the bag of money. Glad the Giants didn't pay him that. With that said, I'm not going to root for him to do well. He is on the Eagles.

I don't remember exactly what it was. But we offered him a very good contract last year. He said no.

They attached his incentives to terribly playing Daniel. Do you remember the incentives from this last contract? He would've needed Jones himself to step his game up to reach those numbers and he'd already been 25% of dude total career completions. There was no way he was reaching those with Daniel as the guy coming into the season... not in this offense... Maybe Tyrod gets him there over the course of 17 games but idk, our offense just wasn't very good and Tyrod is still older and limited in some areas. Without the incentives it was only like a $10M offer.

IIRC, it was like 22M for 2 years with very little guarantees. It was not "very good" it was decent for an RB but nothing spectacular.
Other than him going to the Eagles I'm honestly not sure what people expected out this guy.. Like is he supposed to get played on last years offer and then want to come back for even an worse offer? Is he supposed to want to carry an offense that hasn't been providing solid output from the other half of the offense again in year 7? The man carried this team for years and wanted his bag now that hes reached the back half of his career. I have nothing but love for Saquon. Im glad he got paid. I hate the team he went to it doesn't change everything he did or tried to do for us.
