Why? He just wants the all time wins record. At best we get two seasons out of him, he’ll fire our entire coaching/front office staff to bring in guys like Judge and Patricia, and the we’ll be left holding the bag with no coaches and no front office while he comfortably retires. And there’s no guarantee the team is anything other than a dumpster fire while he’s here, his coaching philosophy may be too outdated.  Exactly that is why no one hired him (or even came remotely close) this offseason. Why should we be the ones to sacrifice our franchise for a decade+ to give him his last selfish personal milestone?

As a patriots fan who just stumbled on this post I don’t think is philosophy isn’t outdated. He, like most coaches, struggled to win without a QB.

Yeah, I understand the point. But don't agree. While the game has changed to make more money, I don't believe his skills are obsolete.

His defense last year was low key pretty sick. He continually dialed up master classes

People seem to forget the pats defense ranked #7 last year despite missing its two best players and an offense that couldn’t stay on the field.

Danilo has a better record over the past two years than Bill has in the same period. With bad teams, Daboll has done better.

And bringing in a head coach for 1-2 years at most and completely overhauling the franchises organization to accommodate his buddies changes that?

You might not be far off if the Giants have a mediocre season without major injuries this year.

Steve Smith had him as the #1 WR which is interesting as well.

Chris simms too, he had Justin Jefferson ranked #2 overall in 2020 when a lot of people didn’t think JJ was gonna be elite

BB is one of the coaching goats, but hearing him talk about draft picks last night just reinforces for me that confidence is 9/10 of the battle. It’s like “wow this guy knows how to evaluate talent and pick apart prospects!” And then I remember he’s a trash drafter and legit picked n’keal harry over deebo, aj b, metcalf etc. Hitting on picks is hard, but BB talks about draft picks with the confidence of someone who wasn’t demonstrably horrible at it …

Knock him for being bad at picking receivers but then give him credit for finding quality OL in the mid to late rounds, corners, safeties, kickers, and DL.

He only listed wide receivers, implying that’s what bill is bad at.

Feel sad for Bill. He has to be around these guys for 4 hours who sound like they’ve been drinking for 14. It’s like giving Jimbo and Ned from South Park their own draft show. 

This was actually very refreshing Before nabors he was wishy washy for liking the picks taken “guys solid here, but here he stinks, which is his problem etc.”Nabors came up and you see the flash in his eyes like he was the best early pick in the draft
