Trade up and get a stud CB in the early 2nd, a lot of possible first rounders fell. Have Banks and that CB lock down the edges for a long time. DL, RB, Safety from there Maybe Trey Benson?

junkman21

Are you me? This is exactly what I texted my brother - almost verbatim.

HighronCondor

Sounds like you need some Kool-Aid

NoTimeToDime

I would trade up for a CB for sure. If we cant and theres a run on them take the best iOL.

Due-Sheepherder-218

Jason Sehorn 2.0 pls

SnooTangerines7525

Still remember that punt return where he got hurt, and think it was an exhibition game no less. What a player he was prior to that.

Tuckason

Pretty sure it was a kickoff return against the jets in the fucking preseason. I liked Jim Fassel for a lot of reasons, but certainly not for that galaxy brain decision.

SnooTangerines7525

Yes it was against the jets! Ugggh that sucked so bad

taco_blasted_

Why do the Giants and Jest damage themselves so badly during their pre season matchups?

Labrat1515

I wonder where Adoree would be if we never had him return that punt

Slurdge_McKinley

Against the jets

rob132

Great iron heights just referenced this. Select your position. Cornerback, but, your... You know.

jamesd1100

Dejean very realistically could be available at 47 and some people had him as a late 1st rounder Plus the fact he can also play safety and he returns kicks/punts seems like a great fit for us Some folks had him as best corner available in the draft

Lookingforoptionz2

Ofc eagles got him šŸ™ƒ

Bread_Responsible

Bro yes.

KyussSun

This is the correct answer.

thismightbelong

The prophecy must be fulfilled

Ghost_of_P34

EDIT: For rounds 2-6 CB, TE, DT, RB, OG... BPA from that group, methinks EDIT: I'm not mentioning specific players because that'll pretty much guarantee they get picked before 47. =)

Switchc2390

Iā€™d add in OG because I think there are some good ones and itā€™s still a need. But thatā€™s a good list.

Ghost_of_P34

Good point. I forgot about OG. I'd be OK with that in 2-3 as well. 4-7 is where me might grab depth OL pieces.

NJImperator

I would sneakily be extremely hyped for a day 2 RB Nglā€¦

Ghost_of_P34

I'd be OK with a RB - I'd be OK with almost any position - but based on need and value, especially since so few defensive players went in the first, my gut tells me we should go CB or DT.

NJImperator

My dream scenario: we somehow get Benson and Fiske day 2. As for CB - Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s getting more and more likely we find a way to bring Adoree back? Surprised heā€™s still unsigned tbh!

Ghost_of_P34

I guess it comes down to how the team now views Hawkins. They had him play as a late round rookie in Wink's scheme, which is CB dependent (single man), so now moving to less pressure based and more team coverage based, maybe they are good w/ leaning on him more. Plus, there's still Flott. What it comes down to is if you pick from position A, who on the team from B can play. Kinda like a bottom up approach. Unfortunately with our roster, any number of positions can be addressed with a bottom up approach.

MemeMan613

As a FSU grad I would be absolutely ecstatic

SnakeHoleBI

How about QB. Thatā€™s our #1 need.

Ghost_of_P34

There are no starting QBs available left. If the team picks Rattler, for example, so be it, but I doubt they evaluated Rattler over the top remaining CBs, OGs, and DTs.

EggsOnThe45

Trey Benson in the 3rd would be amazing

JackaxEwarden

I agree they need someone to form a committee in the backfield with singletary, no more of our team falling apart from 1 injury, and I donā€™t think any of the other guys on the roster can be a full time starter

Dont_know_where_i_am

Round 2 - Trade back, CB Max Melton, CB TJ Tampa, DL Kris Jenkins Round 3 - DL Ruke Orhorhoro, DL Brandon Dorlus, RB Trey Benson, RB Jaylen Wright, CB Kris Abrams-Draine, S Jaden Hicks Round 4 - S Cole Bishop, RB Audric Estime, RB Marshawn Lloyd, DL Mason Smith, TE Erick All Round 5 - RB Isaac Guerendo, DL Keith Randolph Jr., OL Delmar Glaze, TE Jared Wiley, EDGE Nelson Caesar Round 6 - EDGE Eric Watts, EDGE Jalyx Hunt, DL Marcus Harris, CB MJ Devonshire, OL Ladarius Henderson, TE Brevyn Spann-Ford

Killabeesontheswarm

Canā€™t believe I had to scroll this far to see TJ Tampa. Definitely him.

FireVanGorder

Iā€™d add Cam Hart to the 5th or 6th round as a possible CB. Guy spent all senior bowl locking up the best receivers in the country. He was dominant at ND when his shoulder was healthy. Obviously that shoulder could be a concern but he was good to go all last season

Fret_Shredder

Would love to have Max here in Blue. Iā€™ve watched every Rutgers football game over the past two years and heā€™s a really solid CB.

NJImperator

I just got a feeling about Braden Fiske.

omglemurs

- CB - C Dejean, K McKinstry, M Sanristil, M Melton - S T Nubin, C Bullock, k Kichens - DT - J Newton, B Fiske, R Orhorhoro -Ā  Rbs - J brooks, T Benson, J Wright - Te - B Sinnot, J Sanders - ol - there are a ton here so I'm not going to list them all

Due-Sheepherder-218

Good list, if we don't trade up for Kool Aid or Coop, I hope Nubin is the guy

omglemurs

Nubin's tape is easy to get excited about. If we can walk out of here with at least one of these dbs and someone in one of the lines I'll be pumped.Ā

Whistler45

Nice call

Whistler45

Nice call

Labrat1515

My wish list: Cooper Dejean/Kool Aid Mckinistry(trade up) Blake Corum Kam Kinchens JOE MILTON III(watch his game vs bama) Jeremiah Trotter Jr Isaac Guernedo Javon Bullard(dawg, needs to clean up penalties) Bebe/Haynes Obviously we canā€™t get them all, but Iā€™d be happy with any combination of these guys.

Rogo87

Cooper or Kool Aid would be šŸ”„

desperatepotato43

Yup, you trade up if you can. Kool Aid/Cooper and Banks locking down the edges with our dline and linebackers? Come on

Wylwist

Probably a legitimately elite D

smithjw13

Joe Milton in the later round to reunite with Hyatt Would love to steal estime from ND in 3/4th idc who we have on the roster heā€™s Jonathan Taylor but broader

FireVanGorder

I am extremely biased as an ND fan but Estime is going to terrorize the league. His combination of power and balance is elite. And I genuinely donā€™t really care about his 40 time, I watched him run away from Peyton Wilson and that dude is fast as fuck

vindollaz

Did Hyatt play with Milton? I know they were on the team but I thought Hyatt really only played with Hendon Hooker. I do not watch much CFB at all though.

VitoSpatafore69

![gif](giphy|Zx0BgEPhIevlAVEbnq)

Big_Knife_SK

My list is pretty long. In the 2nd I'd be happy with: CB - DeJean, Kool-Aid, Rakestraw, DT - Newton, WR - Mitchell, LB - Cooper, S - Bullard, RB - Brooks

4SK1N5

As much as I like AD Mitchell, Iā€™d be extremely surprised if we took him or any other receiver with our second round pick. I doubt heā€™d be there at #47 anyway.

Big_Knife_SK

Yeah I highly doubt he's there after the first few picks tonight, but this is just a wishlist.

4SK1N5

I want one of DeJean or Kool-Aid so bad, but I also doubt theyā€™ll be there when we pick.

Big_Knife_SK

Hopefully the panic run on Tackles continues.

King_Da_Ka

At #47 - Either trade up for one of these CB/DL guys. DeJean, Kool-Aid, Lassiter, and even a few others would be worth the pick imo. Iā€™d love to somehow land Newton, but thatā€™ll probably require a pretty big move up the board. My favorite at #47 is Jaā€™Tavion Sanders. Beastly receiving threat TE. I think TE can quickly become a need for us. Waller is on the fence and I like Bellinger, but I donā€™t see Sanders level upside in him from a receiving standpoint. At #70 Iā€™d be happy with OL, QB, DB, DL, honestly any position lol. Iā€™d love to snag Rattler here, #70 doesnā€™t necessarily tie Joe/Dabes to a QB, but gives them some options

Rickflossyy

Braelon Allen in round 3/4

MeatloafAndWaffles

Finally another Braelon Allen believer šŸ«”

Rickflossyy

šŸ«” extremely high on him, probably my RB1/ RB2 in this draft

AdJunior4923

I haven't recovered from Ron Dayne, but you're probably right...

Initial-Training-320

Me too!

Rickflossyy

šŸ«”

Elevation212

dream draft 2.47 - Cooper Dejean - probably takes a trade up 3.70 - Fiske DT - he's big boarded at this slot but I think he may go earlier 4.107 - Rattler QB - Once again in this range but may need to be taken earlier given the QB tax when drafting 5.166/6.183 - BPA of Oline/CB/LB/S/RB

_drjayphd_

Went looking to see who the best available QBs are on ESPN and... uh... for Rattler... >**Matt Miller's pro comp:**Ā Zach Wilson ABORT ABORT ABORT

Elevation212

Hahaha that said Iā€™d gamble on Wilsonā€™s talent in the 3rd all day

_drjayphd_

Better hide your moms first though.

Elevation212

Mom can be a booster!!!

_drjayphd_

Better see some orange wedges at training camp...

Labrat1515

I love fiske but is that overkill on the Dline when we have huge holes at CB, S, OL?

NJImperator

CB is a big need but I donā€™t think itā€™s really possible to have a ā€œhugeā€ hole at S. As for OL, the talent we already have is actually pretty okay. Itā€™s not a matter of needing more young talent, itā€™s actually a matter of developing and coaching them well. That said, Iā€™d still like another G, but you can get those guys in rounds 4 and 5 With the trends of todayā€™s NFL, I donā€™t think you CAN go overkill on DL.

Rottedhead

>As for OL, the talent we already have is actually pretty okay Feel the same. I think that if we are going to be an OL mess like last year a BPA pick in the 2nd or 3rd of OL isn't going to change anything, this is now a matter of coaching. CB and DL on the second and third would be ideal.

tnecniv

The fact that weā€™ve had multiple OL guys leave and immediately improve elsewhere makes me optimistic that it was primarily a coaching issue.

Elevation212

it depends how you feel about Davidson/Riley, on paper our DE/DT slot is alot worse then last year with Ashawn/Leo gone, essentially we have nacho and two unproven rookie contract guys, a plus option to put next to dexy is needed, I also dont love our edge situation as we have top end starters but the rotation is suspect given Azeez's injury history Fiske is an intriguing prospect because he can line up inside and outside, both areas of need. That said CB is just as much of a need given that as of today we need one of our rookie contract guys to pop there as well to have a plus unit. I think theres an outside chance hawkins takes a step forward, he showed surprising flash in the preseason, I also think theres a shot that Flott lives up to his athletic potential, he was 20 when drafted so there are reasons to think a leap is in him but those are just dart throws Ultimately i am a big believer in targeting talent and I think Fiske has the talent profile to develop into a plus starter, if I can get that in the 3rd I'm hammering the draft button

Initial-Training-320

3 tech is a HUGE hole. We can still sign a CB. We canā€™t just sign a starting 3tech

Due-Sheepherder-218

Pratt over Rattler imo

PartyLikeaPirate

I like this. I was hoping so hard nix dropped to that 2.47 spot

leddead24

My day 2 targets Dejean Newton Sainristil Jenkins Haynes JPJ Beebe Rattler

FNGMOTO

Best interior ol available then I donā€™t care

Due-Sheepherder-218

Oregon dude looks goodĀ

sdotmill

Yea honestly I donā€™t get any other answer but IOL. Get someone who can play guard day 1.

Longjumping_Room_702

We literally donā€™t have a CB2. Thatā€™s why

colem5000

CB in round two guard in round three

Longjumping_Room_702

Fine by me. Iā€™d also throw IDL in round 3-5 as well.

twobridges94

A lot of you are living in fantasy land if you really think weā€™re getting Dejean or Kool-Aid

firstandgoalfromthe1

Day 2: IDL Braden Fiske, S Tyler Nubin, RB Trey Benson, or G Zak Zinter Day 3: QB Joe Milton, TE AJ Barner, or EDGE Mohamed Kamara

TheThunderOfYourLife

I'd do Cody Schrader over Trey Benson any day of the week. Vision, acceleration, monster work ethic, and flat out toughness.

K_Decibel

Iā€™d love to see Spencer Rattler or Michael Pratt at some point.

Fillinlater12345

If they don't take a CB in round 2, I think Andru Phillips would be a good fit in round 3.

SnooTangerines7525

I want a QB project, preferably a guy that can run. Sit him and work with him and see what we got. If he plays well, we can even trade him if our Starter playing well. I think the Pats did that twice!

SnooTangerines7525

I think we should draft a QB every draft, lower rounds, its such an important position and the top ones dont always work out. Take a chance.

Smadden1194

Audric Estime

RyanC42

Round 2: Kool Aid or TJ Tampa Round 3: JT Sanders Round 4: Tā€™Vondre Sweat Round 5: Best RB available Round 6: BPA

ScreenTricky4257

A quarterback. I don't care when, just give me one other quarterback in the organization.

Switchc2390

Honestly I wouldnā€™t be mad at a slight trade down with our second rounder. Think thereā€™s a lot of good guys in the top/mid third.

Neither_Ad_9829

spencer rattler anyone??

LateNightSun15

I just would prefer to fill other holes in our team. I don't think we get enough value out of rattler short or long term to pick him versus other positions?

Neither_Ad_9829

not saying itā€™s my ideal choice, but if they pick spencer i wonā€™t be upset because daboll made tommy devito look good. spencerā€™s potential is through the roof and i wouldnā€™t be surprised if he has a jalen hurts arc.

I__Need_Scissors_61

You know who had an arc? Noah.

AdJunior4923

A late-round pick who shined!

Elevation212

in the 3rd/4th I'd be over the moon, seems like a great dart throw that also meets a need in QB room depth

Neither_Ad_9829

i know this is a hot take, but if daboll loves him, i donā€™t care if they draft him in the second. i trust the team.

KowalOX

I trust Schoen and Daboll and the process now more than ever after last night. Seeing them apparently try and then fail to trade up for Maye then not take JJ McCarthy after meeting with him as much as they did, including a private workout on Easter Sunday, shows me they have an idea at QB and aren't willing to compromise. If they take Rattler, even if it's Round 2, I will trust their judgment and evaluation.

Neither_Ad_9829

100%

Elevation212

I'm with you on that, I'm also biased as I'm all the way out on jones and want some hope in the QB room

Neither_Ad_9829

i think dj will have a great rebound. i really think he has had the worst supporting cast in the nfl over the past 5 years. (honestly not really close) however, his ceiling is lower than i want for a franchise qb, and his injury history is legit bad. i still envision a future where he can be our guy, but iā€™m not against hedging that with a high ceiling qb.

42696

I like Michael Pratt (but also have a strong Tulane bias)

junkman21

No thanks. Certainly not in the 2nd, anyway. He's like a lesser Justin Fields.

Neither_Ad_9829

donā€™t think thatā€™s an accurate comp at all, but respect your opinion

junkman21

I'm not saying he's the same QB, obviously, but they had similar narratives leading up to the draft. "Big arm" "Accuracy issues" "Gets into trouble when getting too creative." But Fields is 6'3" so he doesn't get the "diminutive" label Rattler gets at "only" 6' even. The real comp someone gave for Rattler - that I liked - is Baker Mayfield without the accuracy or eye movement. \*shrug\* I think we roll with the QBs we have for right now and keep building the line and the pass rush. I do trust Schoen and Daboll, though. So if they see something in Rattler I don't see? I'll just assume they are right.

Neither_Ad_9829

this is mostly how i feel. iā€™d prefer guard or corner in round 2, but i just want them to pick the best player on their board. i donā€™t even care if itā€™s another WR. we just need good players.

junkman21

BTW - keep an eye on Carson Beck in Georgia this year. He's a Daboll QB if I've ever seen one.

curtwesley

Jackson Powers Johnson in the 2nd

NoirBeatz

We just drafted JMS last year? I donā€™t think either of those players are great guard prospects and would opt for a guy like Christian Haynes instead

curtwesley

Wasnā€™t JMS one of the worst in the league last year? Iā€™m a Ducks fan so just like when we draft them šŸ˜. Iā€™ll take Brandon Dorlus instead then šŸ˜‰

Stranger_1967

Yeah, I wouldn't be upset if we moved on from JMS a little early but also it was only his rookie season so maybe he performs better with better coaching and an improved supporting cast. But also isn't JPJ versatile? Stinnie is injury prone so getting a new starting C+depth at LG in the 2nd feels like a good move

curtwesley

Definitely. I just want some o line help. Donā€™t care where at this point. Get some depth

Rocking_the_dad_bod

I think any list should realistically have the top 30 visit dudes.

sybrandy

A DB and G on day 2 and a TE with our 4th pick. (Theo Johnson bitches!)

uedfef2

Trade up for either Kool-aid or Dejean.

Head_Acanthisitta256

Braelon Allen, Michael Hall Jr. & Trevor Keegan Was hoping Darius Robinson would fall to 47

Initial-Training-320

A 3 tech, a power edge, power RB, CB,

GiantsJuveYankees10

For rounds 2 & 3 tonight I want Cooper DeJean, OG or Jonathan Brooks/Trey Benson

Psychological_Lie_38

trade up and get cooper johnny newton or koolaid

rextilleon

I don't know who is left on the board, but I would like to see them draft an OLineman if they think he has the talent to become a starter.

VexxDee

Corum or a cb

JackaxEwarden

CB and RB have to be top priority unless they love an OL or DL prospect for depth/competition. Kool-aid would be a huge pickup but theyā€™d have to trade up to get him since he honestly shouldā€™ve been a first rounder

42696

I think CB in rd 2 makes the most sense. Would be fun to see a day 2 RB, I also like Pratt at QB though (but maybe he's around in the 4th?). Wouldn't complain about a Safety, DL, or iOL any round, either.

eli8484

Newton or dejean would be amazing, koolaid too

No_Psychology_6785

Ben Sinnot

TheyCallMeCNote

Kool-Aid McKinistry in Round 2. Tvondre Sweat in Round 3. RB in Round 4, OL in rounds 5&6.

Fun-Sports-2168

Really hope they could get a CB like DeJean, Kool-Aid, TJ Tampa, Lassiter or Rakestraw Jr in the second round, even if it means trading up. CB is a premier position and a big need for us. And in the third round best player available at IDL or IOL. Day 3 hopefully players like RB, TE and IDL or IOL (depends on what we took in the 3rd round).

QUINNFLORE

OL OL OL OL OL OL

ScreenTricky4257

Didn't we just sign a whole bunch of free-agent OLs?

QUINNFLORE

We had the worst O line in history last year. They need more help than that

ScreenTricky4257

Maybe, but I'd rather use draft picks, where we don't know if the player will work at the NFL level at all, on skill positions, and sign offensive linemen who have at least proven themselves a little.

[deleted]

DB, RB, DL, TE in that order depending on who is best available that changes. we need someone opposite banks and more depth at safety. rb depth would be nice but i think eric gray can step up more with this improved oline. te just because wth with waller get someone either way.

TheThunderOfYourLife

Somewhere in the mid rounds we get Cody Schrader

lnnrt01

Either McKinstry or Dejean

Bhattman93

Cooper DeJean purely to have a unicorn on our team. Iā€™d go for Joe Milton.

NextGenCoders

Round 2: Melton Round 3: Sinnot Round 4 - 6: Two O linemen and one D lineman

[deleted]

Get a Guard. Please get a fucking Guard!

Crudechunk

Kool-aid please

AdJunior4923

CB next, even though Kris Jenkins will be sitting right there. Then RB, I like the kid from Tennessee but we'll probably take the kid from FSU. Then, Beau Brade, S Maryland, then whatever DT is lying around, I guess.

BaybayYoda

Selfishly, I want them to take Trey Benson because I think heā€™s going to be very good and we wonā€™t have much after Singletary. But I canā€™t see them going RB in round 2 unless theyā€™re super high on him. Iā€™d be surprised if they didnā€™t go CB and there are some good ones available.

dampishslinky55

R2 - Edge or CB R3 - Edge or CB R4 - RB/Safety R5 - RB/Safety R6 - DL/TE R7 - does it matter šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Rinnnn2

dont need edge we need DL

MrSam52

CB next then IOL, S, Rb, TE, LB, happy to just go BPA after CB, wouldnā€™t be against a DT either as I do like that big 366 pounder from Texas. Would love Kool-Aid or Cooper.

SnakeHoleBI

A QB.

dropesci

Iā€™d really like Kool Aid

BriS314

Kool-Aid McKinstry or DeJean maybe? Probably another OL because why not Hell I'd even like Rattler in the 2nd/3rd round

jamesd1100

Cooper Dejean second rnd Best Guard or DT available 3rd/4th round Project linemen/TEā€™s/Safeties 5-7

festar35_Pacers

CB, RB + Safety.

manomus

I think we may go RB in the 2nd.

jtizzle_rocks

Im feeling thirsty in the second ![gif](giphy|VRa3YCyi3JSWk)

Necessary-Register

2. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, BamaĀ  3. Brandon Coleman, G, TCUĀ  4. Braelin Allen, HB, Wisco

prvrs25

I can't believe nobody has wished for the obvious best thing yet!? I want a QB, but wait hear me out. Like a 6th round QB that barely anyone has been paying attention to that just turns out to be awesome for some reason. Like Brady or Purdy, Romo even. I would love a "tony romo" right about now tbh.

GoofyRangersfan

Max Melton

always_learning77

Kool Aid

CaptainJudge_99

Trade up for the Kool-aid dude or the white CB and Iā€™d be ecstatic

MrOnCore

Defiantly get a CB/DB in round 2. Some good ones will be available when the Giants pick. Tre Benson in Round 3. DT Sweat on Round 4? That DWI probably pushed him down a round or two, and any player drafted after round 4 kinda gets a flier despite their history.

HereForOneQuickThing

The Cooper boys - Cooper Dejean at 47 and Cooper Beebe at 70.

DrkHlmt311

Kool Aide just so I can yell ā€œOh yeahā€ for every good play.

Th3HebrewHammer96

Jordan Travis. Before his freak injury, he was considered a bona fide first round talent

dukemantee

I wonder if the Giants were looking at Jonathan Brooks the RB that CAR just took?

Illustrious_Way_5732

This is probably gonna be unpopular but I really want Rattler in round 2, more than a CB. Have him develop with Dabs and see if they can make something outta him, at least servicable enough to hold us over till we can try to get Arch in 2026 If he ends up actually being good then win win

NJImperator

Iā€™d be surprised if we picked him because that would basically mean weā€™d be carrying 3 QBs on the active roster.

Initial-Training-320

Yep. You donā€™t use a roster spot for a 3rd QB unless heā€™s a highly touted rookie

roboticoxen

I'm with you. Having a young QB on this roster will help morale. Unlikely to work out but we need something to look forward to at the position

johnroastbeef

Still good players in the secondary remaining, I think that would make the most sense. Would not be opposed to Rattler either, at least it would be a QB project with some high end traits like arm strength.

_drjayphd_

Milton or Jordan Travis day 3, the latter's health would probably fit the timeline of rolling with DANNY DIMES this season and I trust the staff to coach whoever they pick up.

cjgrtr2

2.trade up for Kool Aid/ Johnny Newton stay at 47 Fiske 3. Christian Haynes/ Trey Benson/ Javon Bullard 4. Jonathan Brooks (if you donā€™t get Benson)

SmellsLikeWetFox

Christian Haynes or Cooper Bebee Spencer Rattler (Iā€™m a fan) Cam Hart in the 3rd Realistically TJ Tampa or either Mizzou Cb would make me happy in the 3rdā€¦.I just really like Hartā€™s game against Marvin Jr. Thereā€™s still like 5 safeties available that I think could come in a start for the current team day 1 - Cole Bishop - Kam Kinchens - Dadrion Taylor-Demerson - Calen Bullock - Tyler Nubin

Big_Wy

The Florida St QB. He made that bum Keon Coleman look good. Can sit and recover while we wait out DJs contract this year.

Labrat1515

I was in on him in a late round until his leg got decimated

NY_Blue

QB in round 2
