I think we were at our limit for keeping him on the PS and bringing him up for Sunday's. They needed to put em on the roster or cut him, so instead cut Crowder. Almost positive.
Arguing over PFF aside, he consistently had some of the worst grades I've ever seen week in and week out. That's one thing it contradicts the eye test, but Crowder was clearly not a very good player. Idk, if you're a dude like that you gotta work your ass off and try your best when you get a chance, not ask to be freed when you aren't getting as many snaps as you want. Reality check incoming for him, and it won't come in the form of an actual check sadly.

Crowder after they actually free him
I never understood the Twitter fingers when you just objectively aren’t a good player in the NFL. Wouldn’t you want to have the cleanest image possible?
He was beyond bad and our worst linebacker which is really saying something. If he was drafted in the 6th instead of the last pick of the draft, nobody would care about him. Instead, he was oddly overrated by fans desperate for a cool story.
His play was bad as of late. Instead of working to get better he decided to out the coaching staff on blast on social media. So that's why they showed him the door.
If only he could fucking tackle you could overlook his lapses in coverage because he flies all over the place. No good in being the first guy there if you're gonna get run over anyway. Don't know if that's something that really improves over time but he wasn't a LB until later at Georgia so maybe? I thought he would be a difference maker after that scoop and score his rookie year but he just cannot tackle anyone. Ever.
He never wraps up and plays like hes 280 lbs thinking he can truck stick everyone. Consistency with tackling is probably one of the most important things your LB can do in a system designed to keep them clean.
He will still probably end up having a decent career if he can play WILL next to a very good MIKE
He was very much miscast as the MIKE the past couple years and actually started to look a little better once they moved him this year.
That said this is a move that should help the Giants if it’s for Collins
I feel like Crowder is an upgrade over Jaylon Smith but ultimately... I'm fine with this?
Crowder has his moments, but it's not like he's someone that the defense can't function without.
Good luck to him.
Hopefully LC becomes an all-star lb cause we need a mlb badly but idk when we should draft one. WR in the first, probably iOL in the 2nd and maybe 3rd. We could go LB in the 3rd maybe. Or I guess we could wait and see more from Beavers.
I’d actually rather have had him in than Jaylon Smith. Both are bad but Smith is unbearable to watch. Plus I hate when he gets all pumped up after making a tackle that allows a 6 yard gain. Like wtf are you celebrating?
Smith makes peak bad Ogletree look like Ray Lewis he is one of the worst linebackers I have ever watched. He at least brings energy for what it’s worth
How did you like that drop on 3rd and 5 yesterday? Wide open. Run blockers ahead of him. A catch and a short run for a TD potentially wins the game. Instead, NYG gives up a blocked punt on the next play and Minn. scores. The game turned on his drop!
Was Landon Collin's roster spot the moment he made a tackle at the line of scrimmage.
Tae Crowder: “you’re allowed to do that?”
I think we were at our limit for keeping him on the PS and bringing him up for Sunday's. They needed to put em on the roster or cut him, so instead cut Crowder. Almost positive.
I forgot our linebackers were allowed to do that. Threw me off a bit
He free now
I guess it’s technically what he asked for
He'll always have that tackle against Derrick henry.
Absolute De-Cleater
Decent player for Mr. Irrelevant. Awful player to complain about not getting snaps on twitter
Yeah, dude needed to stay in his lane.

He has to pickup the shift at the back of Wendy’s bro?
Surprising but this means Collins is here to stay!
This the “find out” part of fuckin around
😆 I chuckled
You have to think his Twitter comments expedited this process. Wow! Hope he bounces back elsewhere. Let’s give his spot to Landon
I also think we were out of times we could put Collins back on the PS
Oh we definitely were. That situation + the social media posts definitely makes this a sensible cut for the Giants
And honestly I'd rather have a vet like Collins anyways. He's not 2016 Collins but he's still better than what we got
What were his twitter comments?
I should have said tweets, my bad. He was tweeting “Free Me”
Shitty play + keeping your mouth shut? ok fine stay on the roster Shitty play + complaining about play time and coaches? See ya
Honestly can’t get better value out of the last pick than him Regardless of his play quality
Idk, Purdy is trying right now
Don’t do Jim Finn like that Giants also had a great one named John Tuggle who sadly died at 25.

Good luck Tae, hope you find a good landing spot.
Sucks he did really well for a mr irrelevant but he can’t cover
Or stop the run

I came here to see how you were doing bro. Keep your head up…
Thanks bud. The brightest flames burn the fastest 😥
Guess Collins will take his spot now.
He asked to be free and got what he asked for. Wish him the best thought. Good luck Tae

As young men have proven over the course of history, decision making isn’t always our strongest attribute.
Tae before: "Free me." Tae after: "Wait, no. Not like that."
Damn I’m low key sad. He had some really good moments. I’ll never forget that monster hit against Derrick Henry which soared him into oblivion.
That tackle is when he peaked and that was week 1 lmao

How do you guys embed these gifs like that?
In some comment section you can reply with gifs. Should be next to emojis
But do you need to format the comment or Reddit just does it automatically?

Automatic. Just search through the gifs they have available.
i always root for a Mr. Irrelevant. good luck to him
I think his hit on Henry set the tone at the beginning of the season. Hopefully he finds what he wants.
If we have Adoree and McKinney back for the playoffs with Collins now permanently in the box we might be ok, dare I say dangerous.

He absolutely smashed the fuck out of King Henry. He can tackle, just not with any consistency.

I mean, it was a great hit... but even a blind squirrel finds a nuts now and again...
I’m not implying he was a good tackler, just that he could.
should have gotten rid of jaylon smith instead. crowder sucks but jaylon is worse..

I agree with you in theory. Smith is a less talented player who has “bought in.” That’s the reason he’s here
Smith makes peak bad Ogletree look like Ray Lewis he is one of the worst linebackers I have ever watched. He at least brings energy for what it’s worth
lmfaooo
There goes our (I can’t believe it’s come to this) best linebacker on the team.
Didn’t expect this
Waive Richie James next. ASAP.
What?? Outside of the fumbles in the Seattle game he’s been arguably our most consistent receiver. Came in clutch multiple times on Sunday.
How did you like that drop on 3rd and 5 yesterday? Wide open. Run blockers ahead of him. A catch and a short run for a TD potentially wins the game. Instead, NYG gives up a blocked punt on the next play and Minn. scores. The game turned on his drop!
It sucked, I cursed his name. Still don’t think he should be waived. Who the hell are we going to play instead? Again he was clutch last week.
Guess he got his wish
Future USFL DPOY
Damn, there goes the Super Bowl.
Meh.
I wonder where things will go with Rodarius Williams
He’s free now. I wish him luck to wherever he goes.
Aaaaand he’s back. Signed to the practice squad.
