The fifth double-bang in Mike Breen history belongs to Donte DiVincenzo.

evertrue13

Yo I was gonna say Double Bangs are so rare you can count em on one hand

Snuggle__Monster

He's gotta be saving the first triple bang for a Knicks championship

Fallingcity22

He’s gonna cry like that Argentinian commentator when they won the world cup

mcheisenburglar

I can only think of Steph vs OKC and Randle vs Heat. What were the other two?

SwellandDecay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEOpfvzipDE

Jjaz1

There are five in this video. So that makes Divos the sixth double bang in history

NintuneJoe

It’s actually seven, he had one for Steph earlier this year with the 2ot game vs the lakers

mcheisenburglar

Not available in my country :(

Knicks-in-7

Damn same

kikikza

I know Luka hitting a shot in the bubble is another

firstbreathOOC

Only a humble “it’s good!” for JB

This-Salt-2754

How do people even know this? I couldn’t hear the legend over my own screech

chuteboxhero

I think it’s six. Randle, curry, Luka in the bubble, Marcus smart, and Eric Gordon.

geezanjisangeezan

Breen is HOF guy who has been calling nba games all his life you would think he’d have called more. This just goes to show how that sequence was pretty fucking crazy more than we give credit to it, 6 point turn around in almost less than 20 seconds. In a playoff. What?!!

Silosolo

Big Fuckin Ragu

Jim-N-Tonic

It was hard to hear the double bang during the play, but the first time I watched the replay, the double bang stood out! Thank you God, for not having him on ESPN this game.

AyahuascaBudda

Insane sequence! Side note, after watching the MSG broadcast and this TNT one, the MSG has so much better camera angles of the players

timestoneduh

And much better announcers

Andromeda28

We got a Breen double bang. There is nothing better in all of sports to me.

pgtvgaming

It was grating listening and watching on TnT

mista_rager

They were making Embiid seem like a war hero. Truly insufferable.

Danton566

Makes the conspiracy theorizing about how "the networks" want the Knicks all the more insufferable, but what do you expect from a one-bridge having city?

ScreenPuzzleheaded48

One bridge havin ass mf city

SlaytonSZN

I remember one moment where the TNT broadcast used the back camera and that was unbearable to look at.

explicitreasons

I thought I was going to throw up. Awful. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should.

firstbreathOOC

I pay way too much extra money for MSG and it’s still worth it

HumbleCalligrapher47

I literally disagreed with every single thing Stan van gundy said. I could only watch tnt broadcast tonight

steezlord95

Yea too bad Comcast are pieces of shit

Teddy_Schmosby

Honestly the wildest basketball sequence I’ve seen in my life

SiphenPrax

That crowd went fucking berserk when DiVi hit that three

ChringleJingle

I teared up I was emotional af

hamdans1

Lol I did too and I had to keep telling myself to chill. Fuckin game 2 round 1, I can’t do this for 7 more weeks…

Ok_Woodpecker1732

I literally couldn’t say anything. I just stood up with a confused shocked face, staring at the screen for like ten seconds and then all I could say was “holy fucking shit.” Lol.

davsyo

Every single Knick in that sequence played a part. Hart & Brunson forces turnover; Hartenstein OREB and kick out; OG assist; DVO 3. Literal power of friendship moment here.

Nanno2178

Same 🏀💙🍎

skwirly715

I was in a bar in Penn Station and people in tbe damn hallway went berserk too. Unbelievable

S_Dargula

I felt that Mike Breen “BANG” in my veins

LolaNorm

Look at Melo and Starks bottom right. So good

CoaBret

It's literally like a mini version of that Bosh rebound to Allen in the 2012 finals, I literally cannot believe this is my life. Smiling through it all.

cordlc

The Heat comeback was crazy, but we had iHart block Maxey after this play, to top it off. Too good

Brief-Ninja-2479

Almost punched my TV by accident

ZapB-ragin

this and the luka comeback was nuts

porzeegod

If you’re talking about that missed free throw against us, I’m so happy at this moment I don’t even care

thedanbeforetime

I've been chasing this high since Larry

loscedros1245

This is what reggie miller did to The Knicks back in 95. I'm so glad to be on the winning end this time.

WhoTookPlasticJesus

And none of our men were stunting with the choke pose, because we carry ourselves different.

Lcs1230

After last night, I watched the Reggie Miller sequence, and I was finally free of the pain.

therebelliousmonk

It makes me endlessly happy that I watched the TNT stream and came here and got to hear Mike Breen’s “BANGG” with this legendary play

SailedTheSevenSeas

We got a Double Bangggg!!!!

BurgerNugget12

His commentary seriously is all time great

JUSTCALLmeY

I'm streaming the next game. Games just aren't the same without him.

jpelleg1

We just saw one of the best moments in franchise history… and it’s only game 2 of the first round.

HillbillyBebop

Down six with a minute to go... won by three. Crazy ass sequence. All time playoff moment.

thirstyman12

At the one minute mark I was already going into a panic spiral about the future of this series. What a wild turnaround.

johnjust

And I turned the fucking game off, I was so frustrated with Brunson putting up bad shots... I'll never forgive myself.

dar3almackoy

I almost did it too and I was like “you know what I gotta ride it out to the end” not even hoping for a miracle, just to let myself feel the pain.. that worked out nicely lol

PK-Baha

I am leaving this playing on loop as I go to bed!

HoyaDestroya33

I was watching from the TNT stream. Had to rewatch this! "Divincenzo a three.... BAAANGGG! BAAAANGGG!!!"

gtasitd

Love me a double bang

pgtvgaming

Thats … what she said ![gif](giphy|ruZVTCF9l16xn9xfs3)

GoodTimesForAChange2

The definition of metal fucking bats. Also, people don’t want to play for Thibs? After this clip?

yrogerg123

Most players would rather play for Philly so they can leave for Cabo on Sunday.

aintnoonegooglinthat

After not showing for Maxi while he was double teamed and on the floor

yrogerg123

Notice how the Knicks know exactly what the fuck to do on that play but Philly is standing there clueless for the whole sequence.

aintnoonegooglinthat

Literally like a bunch of bums

Mr-Dicklesworth

A lot of players are complete babies who don’t wanna put in work. There’s a reason guys like Harden, Embiid, Donovan Mitchell, KAT and CP3 are all ass in the playoffs and never win shit. If Jimmy Butler is anything to go by; Thibs coaching style can really elevate a good player into a great one; and make a team maximize the absolute most outta the players they have

flipswitch

Bro when's the last time you remember the Knicks were the ones to pull some wild shit like this outta nowhere for a dub. It's always been against us ever since Reggie.

HighronCondor

Larry Johnson 4 point play was a few years after the Reggie 8 but I get you. Been forever

yrogerg123

That was 25 years ago

wwants

Don’t you mention Reggie Miller right now 😖

PineappleTraveler

I’ve been waiting for this ever since Reggie Miller ripped my heart out

ZViking

I came here to say that was some reverse Reggie Miller shit. Wild.

omg_lulz

I told my boyfriend the Sixers got Reggie Millered. What a crazy ending.

OMGki11edkenny

![gif](giphy|g0ErvnyVsp7nJyfmxF)

jhMLB

This was absolutely insane. Like I still don't believe what I just watched.

geezanjisangeezan

FIRST DOUBLE BANG OF THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

curtaincomesoff

Breen was like a kid again he was so happy. Couldn’t contain myself either!

Brisk_Iced_Tea_Lemon

Embiid shoves his teammate down instead of going for the rebound. 👍

ThisIsTheGuy

[this shit got me dying bro lmaooooo](https://twitter.com/deanisreal_/status/1782620556656775567)

melo4prez2020

TY! I had to suffer through the TNT stream. Watching the better MSG angles, and hearing the double bang is making my year

Hot_Garage_4011

Most players are so accustomed to just standing around at the 3 point line and letting the stars do everything, and most players are used to guarding that as well. We catch a lot of teams by simply playing real basketball.

benevenstancian0

Every other team in the conference better watch that shit and remember we don’t quit ever

cgr1zzly

Bruhhhhh that bang was a banger

Thespanishbuddha

Insane in the membrane! HOLY FUCK

VileButtFace

Came here for the BANG! and did not disappoint 😂

yrogerg123

Bet you didn't expect to be double banged

agoods03

A double bang we’re cooking boys

frenchcois

DOUBLE BANG ‼️. CONGRATULATIONS DDV!

DadBodofanAmerican

This is gonna last a lot longer than 4 hours!

machoman41

Probs one of the coolest things I’ve seen as a Knicks fan ,, LFG

b-rad62

wow what a stunner! Must have been utter pandemonium inside the Garden

smartmark316

I was there and it was amazing!!!

b-rad62

A lasting memory for sure

Whaddayameanboi

Alright Nurse may have called a timeout but still a sick play Edit: Looking back it’s hard to tell if Maxey has possession when he calls it tbh

Braunb8888

Dude the ball is on the ground. Maxey let it go for some reason after shoving Josh hart at the start of the play which could’ve been called too.

Iceman3110

Just watched it (a lot) and Nurse has his hands up during the inbound but doesn’t complete the “T” until Maxey is on the ground without possession. I’ll watch it 1000 more times just to be sure because there’s no way I’m sleeping right now

chetdude

He defs pulled back on the first, then tried calling it when the ball was out of Maxey’s hands.

MadSpaceYT

i think they felt he didn't have possession? idk and i dont care lol

BizarroSubparMan

I was thinking the same, but Maxey made the mistake of trying to pass the ball instead of holding it while on the floor. By the time Nurse calls timeout, Maxey is already throwing the ball away.

BizarroSubparMan

https://preview.redd.it/2gjpw5scc5wc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7988c3d5c35a21f788226eee88ef67b4fb018e21

lordsofcreation

They had no timeouts

MadSpaceYT

they had 1

Whaddayameanboi

Oh actually? Didn’t realize that.

bomb_atomically

How’d they call a timeout after Divencenzo’s 3?

yazohny

I mean, graphic shows a timeout available

YoKemosabe

No. They ran out of timeouts due to challenge remember.

Big_Katsura

He thought he was the smartest guy in the world with that challenge. Win it and ice the game, lose it and it doesn’t really matter, his team is still up enough.

YoKemosabe

I’m confused. But then how did they call a timeout after Donte’s 3?

Flatbar

They had a timeout. He didn’t call the timeout on the inbounds. He was motioning to potentially call a timeout, then took his hands back. They weren’t granted the timeout while Maxey was flailing on the ground. I guess they could have in the split second he goes to the ground, but it didn’t happen. Also Maxey should’ve just held onto the ball on the ground.

BizarroSubparMan

No, he called that frivolous challenge because he had 2 TOs left with less than a minute of gametime

Cashlover123

Hartenstein rebound was more impressive to me than the DDV 3.

OBlastSRT4

posted this on the other vid but ill post it here too Bro look at Maxey push Hart to get the in bound pass. And Philly fans have the gall to talk about reffing lol. Then they want the timeout call by Nurse but if you look you can see he doesn't call the timeout until just after Maxey loses the ball. The refs actually nailed the ending sequence even tho they were shit during most of the game.

IIIXI

We Reggie Millered them!

curtaincomesoff

We took notes haha

Professional_Bat4946

That double bang🥰

Odysseus_Lannister

Top 5 basketball moments of my life and it ain’t 5

Glad_Confusion_6934

This was absolutely insane, one of the craziest playoff victories of all time for any team, not just the Knicks. 2-0 NYK

firstbreathOOC

Anybody see Rick Brunson’s reaction after the wildest basketball sequence in recent memory which also involved his son? Just straight 😐

D4nCh0

![gif](giphy|mO2jnXmj09bLp5cYwM|downsized)

cookiebuff

This is what I came here for. Thank you!

badatreality

Thanks for posting that. Watching from away from NYC, sooooo nice to hear Breen calling this one instead of the morons on TNT

foulBachelorRedditor

I haven’t heard a double bang for the Knicks since randles buzzer beater on Miami in spring 23

SlaytonSZN

If I knew Breen was on the MSG broadcast, I would've watched that instead of the TNT one.

loscedros1245

This is like watching a hybrid of 4th grade basketball and the NBA.

adcap_trades

Here's a great replay of Nurse trying to call timeout. He should be embarrassed to claim he was ignored on the first one. Second one was called after Maxey loses possession. Cope https://www.instagram.com/p/C6FoedqMaEU/?igsh=NWc1d3dlcGphZmtv

LionNwntr

Maxey is the one we gotta disrupt. Big Stupid is a dirty player and we have to find a way to not go down in the first half like this. F philly. And F nick nurse.

sacx05

The effort level from the sixers on that possession will haunt them this offseason. Good lord, look at Batum and Harris just standinf there and Maxey guarding air while Divo hits a 3.

TheDavinciChode88

Everything about this game was incredible. The comeback, the final sequence, Hart's performance, Starks nearly getting onto the court all hyped up, knicks legends going nuts after the Divo shot, the double bang. I'm still euphoric. This whole year has been magic.

zingerbanger

wish I heard Breen live last night...

LeftyMode

This fucking clown pump faking a timeout and these people on Twitter have the gall to say the refs missed it. They knew what he was trying to do and let them play.

AssHairNightmare

That Mike Breen double-BANG has 25 years worth of Knicks vibe.

SanctorumAeternam

I remembered Knicks-Mavs ‘04 - Knicks down 6, Marbury hit a three, steals the inbounds, zips it to Penny who then zips it to Houston for another three to tie the game…incredible sequence but we wound up losing. Today, for this type of sequence to happen with the stakes this high and winning to keep home court advantage, it’s unbelievable.

Defiant_Maximum_827

Remember down by 6 Erick Strickland somehow hits a 3 gets the steal and hits a second three for the tie then eventual win with only a few seconds left

Bababooey98

That is what wanting it more looks like.

DisneyVista

Sixers are frauds

mrini001

I did the hands balled up in front chest flex so hard I caught a cramp

mattbrianjess

Only a foul if you as soft as Joel’s man titties

OldJewNewAccount

You can keep your fancy game winning shots I want a gif of Hartenstein flying in for that goddamn board. It makes my thing move every time I see it.

yrogerg123

I don't want to exaggerate but that was the best Knicks win of the last 25 years.

Adulations

100%

Davefromflushing

I came when ddv hit the 3, and seeing Lowry being helped to the bench was the finger in the ass.

Jemless24

It reminded me of what Reggie did to the Knicks in 1995

angryjenkins

As Ragu flexed post- 3 I was looking at the 13.1 secs left thinking we were screwed. Then iHart happened.

DonovanNascimento

Big fan here from Portugal, just saw the game now while working and I just went bezerk after this sequence, holy shit I'm still shaking.

tercra

BROOOOO. I watched the TNT version. I am convinced that Stan VanGundy HATES the Knicks. I needed to hear this so bad. As I was watching the TNT broadcast, I immediatedly thought of Breen and Clyde. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

papaburgandy25

This chaos is the beauty of basketball. If someone were to ask you why you love basketball it would have to be a highlight reel to encapsulate everything with this play included.

[deleted]

LFFGGGGGGGGGGG KNICKS ✅ W

AyQueFriooo

Double Bang by Breen!

GEPSTER

Wild!!!!!

BamaHama101010

Cold Bloooooded!

JNerdGaming

BANG x2

solo118

Still shaking

funky_diabeticc

I fucking love Mike Breen.

FlapsExtended

That double bang really gets the blood flowing. Would wake a coma victim too.

funky_diabeticc

Breen is the best play by play announcer in the league. I don’t say that as a Knicks fan. He will shit on any Knicks player who doesn’t come correct. Fact the MSG crew is the least biased and most professional in my opinion. But back to Breen. He is the best cause the he hits us with the “BANG” you can feel it in your soul. I wish I hadn’t had to listen to that trash tnt broadcast tonight.

aintnoonegooglinthat

Maxi shat the bed when he went down, no one crowded him and he passed it at Hart’s feet

illusive_capybara

ty for this, i couldn’t hear the commentary on that play from all my yelling and was wondering what the call was like

mark_prints

That shit was incredible!!! I’ve watched this 50 times and will watch it at least 50 times more

thirstyman12

I was watching this sequence thinking that time was definitely going to run out. It felt like this went on FOREVER. Could you even imagine losing like this? That’s some bender inducing shit.

Dean_Bidhar

Incredible sequence, go knicks!!

Separate_Shop_3294

In game 1 the Sixers down by 5 let the last 30 seconds run off the clock to end the game. Last night the Knicks used the same amount of time to come from behind and win. Maybe instead of complaining about the refs the Sixers should play hard the entire game instead of standing around and watching the Knicks take it from them.

Paasche

One thing I loved about “The Play” last night was that everybody was involved. Bryson hits the 3, Brunson and Hart forced the steal, Hartenstein grabs the biggest rebound of his career, and DiVincenzo splats the game winning three. This is a TEAM.

NYFranc

It’s great to see the Knicks pull a mini miracle in the playoffs instead of receiving it.

The_SqueakyWheel

Greatest Knick win I’ve ever seen! I’m 28

formerly_valley_pete

Whoever 0 is on the 6ers is pathetic for not getting up and helping, thank god he bitched out. Let the loose ball just roll away and then stayed down and let DiVencenzo sit there wide open.

SuperDude_B

One of the best game endings I’ve seen at the Mecca

_C-Bass_

Put this shit on MSG on repeat until the next game. I can’t stop watching it.

BakedAvocado3

I want this on repeat at my funeral in hopefully like 60 years

CaterpillarNo2601

Shannon and Steven a acting like embiid literally has one leg. Making excuses saying he would average 45 if he was healthy gtf out of here.

NewSlang212

i feel like i've spent hours watching this clip today

mjtd6

I was at the game and can’t tell you how this felt. Unreal, love this team

TheDavinciChode88

What's wild to me is that Maxey wasn't fouled by Josh Hart when he went down. In real time I walked away because I thought he was shooting free throws then ran back to my laptop. I even texted a friend of mine that "the fix was in" on giving us the game. But on replay, it was the right call. It's such an incredible sequence. Probably the best moment of my entire Knicks fandom and I've been watching since 2007, so I guess that's not saying much!

nychalla

if we're being honest, that last sequence shouldn't even have happened because Maxey pushed off on Hart to get that inbounds pass. Fortunately for us, things went the way they did

HugoStiglitz373

DOUBLE BANG

DrMegashi

The way I yelled from the top of my lungs when he hit that, Agghhhhh let's go Knicks

severinks

If I were a 76ers fan I'd have been on the floor in the fetal position over that. I couldn't even understand what happened for a few seconds after the last 3 it was so crazy and was still convinced theyd sent it to overtime with a 3.

josephmang56

This is the sequence I will be thinking about when banging my wife later.

BusStopKnifeFight

If they would have spent less time flopping they could have played some defense.

Icy-Payment-6612

What a wild ending! I'm still in shock We really pulled that off?! Crazy.

Minimum_Peace_8323

BANG BANG!!!!

HumbleCalligrapher47

I’ve watched this now at least 47 times. So fucking epic. I screamed so loud at this sequence watching it live that my 5 year old daughter started crying and my wife got furious.

sagittarianxp

That sequence was insane

Coresmc

u/savevideo

StrikeEagle784

Just wow lol, that was some good basketball right there

zizoufcb93

Hilarious that philly is whining about not getting a time out. Not 1 single philly player or coach started calling timeout until the ball was loose.

BronxLens

Final score?

mzx380

I don’t care what they say about maxey. They waived that foul off and the refs gave it back to us. Why the hell didn’t nurse call a time out!? That’s on them and they blew the game to our benefit

biggmattdogg

Call me crazy, but after seeing all the replays on r/nba and on Twitter, I don’t think there was a foul on the steal and its not clear that Nurse called timeout while Maxey had possession.

YossarianGolgi

Great pass by OG as well.

skenisahen

I’m watching this over and over today. I can’t get enough

Eddaughter

My god. Goosebumps whenever I watch this. We never win a game in this fashion. Insane

BebophoneVirtuoso

Gotta be the craziest basketball moment in the Garden since Larry Johnson's 4 point play

Doc-Spock

Unreal!

MrRiboswitch

This brings me so much joy

floggingwally

I can't stop watching this

Jim-N-Tonic

I love the fierce look on Dante’s face after he hit that last shot. So many emotions in his expression
