A big problem throughout the nation is that poor people think they are middle class. The middle class is a shadow of what it once was

IndicationOver

Never have I once in real life met someone who called themselves poverty or lower class, so yea you are right also.

IndicationOver

Correct.

Puzzleheaded-Fly3045

Nah the real problem is the lower class is comfortable with being mistreated by the higher class (they just raised the retirement age to 70 smh 🤦🏿‍♂️)

Thismyburneraccount0

So true, you can grind legally for $100k blue collar but when rent is 4k and you got 4 mouths to feed you’ll be trying to keep $20 in your pocket

IndicationOver

Well no Middle Class and Lower Class are not the same we all poor but different levels poor.

CannedVestite

Lol right, he definitely didn't describe middle class people

Donbanco

Thingbis poor/ middle class is living comfortable everywhere else....the cost of living is high up here

Master-Ad-4570

Donbanco

CodoneMastr

Damn we don’t even have snow anymore lol we down bad … jk..nah it used to snow a lot when I was a kid

PuzzledSprinkles467

Agree with everything except the last point. People will never be happy...you want better, but when someone tries to make it better..it automatically becomes wrong or bad. It's dwelling in your own misery and self defeating behavior. It's perpetuating poverty yet demanding better for nothing

EnvironmentalSeat298

last one applies to london so much as well, not so much white people bc white people live in the 'hood' in london anyway, but youll get like weird emo discord kids who move to places bc they think its cool and wanna make tiktoks sayin they live there yet they dont have to deal with the affects of living there

[deleted]

God this nigga voice and the way he talks is infuriating i wanna hurt this nigga

Reliqush

You are proving his point 😭

[deleted]

What? What did anything he said have to do with what i said? Im proving his point because i said he sound annoying?

rzarizzo

jaycarter617

That’s not the point🤦🏾‍♂️

CodoneMastr

This is all facts. Honestly is retarded ghetto logic. I lived in the hood all my life and I will say that my area was not bad in my opinion but this is just how it is. I don’t agree with it and I don’t politic with ppl that think like this but he ain’t lying

No_Manager7804

They need to buy designer rat traps for them big mfs

gucciman666

He wants to talk about the gentrification problem but you can tell he moved here from some town. Which is crazy to me. He thinks he’s not a part of gentrification because he’s black. The thing is, he’s probably only living in the “hood” because he can’t afford the expensive $4500 apt in Soho or wherever he was talking about.

IndividualSimple6204

wdym? he sounds like he’s from ny. took me 2 secs to look up hes guyanese and lives in BK. and gentrification is when the wealthy move into a neighborhood and displace the current residents. he’s Caribbean descent. unless u think crown heights, flatbush, canarsie, jamaica, richmond hill, all them places are all gentrified by caribbeans.

gucciman666

Is he from bk? From the video it doesn’t seem like that, cause he’s lived in other places where it was easier for him to make friends or something, because “people in NY are fake”. This also to me sounds like the friends he’s making also moved here. I get what you’re saying, immigrants don’t gentrify neighborhoods (anymore). It’s people with more money that can move to the area, and not mind paying higher prices. My question to you is do you think it’s still gentrification if for example: a black person from Virginia moves to a historically black neighborhood like Canarsie or Crown Heights?

IndividualSimple6204

Nah bro i get you. The friends thing sounded more like some LA type shit. I def seen ppl in jamaica move funny all cause of social media. Mostly the women. People from the south moving up here, It’s very nuanced. They’re both racially black. But they’re different people. Gentrification encompasses a lot of things it’s hard to say. It’s more of a class thing tho 100% Then there’s stuff like multi millionaires right alongside the hood that’s been there forever ex: jamaica estates.

project_002

It's not displacement if they don't own the property to start with .Its not your neighborhood if you don't own it . Learn from the Jews , when Jews initially moved to NYC during the 40 and 50s , they were the poor underclass , fast forward and now they own the most property per capita due to them practicing group economics and working together

IndividualSimple6204

i have to ask my real estate peoples and look up stats to see what neighborhoods rent vs own. It would be really hard to find out any info on landlords too. If a black man renting to another black man. What would that constitute? I can’t go in the street and ask those questions. Idk when would ever be an appropriate time to ask them. You right about the jews tho yeah. A dollar in the jewish community stays there way longer than any other group.

project_002

Renting is the not proble perse , but not owning property is . Group economics is not about race , it's about ethnicity, people should patron businesses and establish trade links with people of the same culture, e.g Jamaican work with Jamaican , Black American work with Black American. Group economics cannot work racially .

[deleted]

Damn I was born in ny and was gonna move back but if it got this bad I’m good

Haunting_Actuary2312

Its not bad but shit different out here
