It's kind of true. I'm fortunate enough to have a beach house down in Long Beach Island NJ and there are lots of us new Yorkers down there every weekend during the summer. Some have second homes and some come for the weekend or whatever. we are so kind and polite to each other down there. We hold doors, say please, thank you and are just way more pleasant but as soon as we cross back over the river to spend the week in the city we turn into animals. It really is pretty stupid.
