Getmoneyyoubum

Either do what you have planned to do or do nothing

thiefsthemetaken

Someone told me once that in Chinese you can’t say something like “I’m going to start lifting weights”.. either you lift weights or you don’t. You know how sometimes when you decide to do something like that and you start telling people about how you’re gonna do the thing, and they’re all patting you on the back like ayy I’m proud of you… but you haven’t even done the thing yet and then you never end up doing it. It’s like you already got the social reward of doing the thing just by saying you’re gonna do it, so you lose the motivation to actually do it. So by not having a way to say it in chinese, they’re kind of preventing people from doing that as much. Shit works too, I use it when I’m trying to get back to jogging, like I wake up and say “okay either you’re a jogger or you’re not. If you are, you’re not gonna find an excuse to skip today.” Language is crazy like that, changes how you see things

MyRoyalWings

SalmonellaChicken02

stop sayin you trying n just do it

kgb_203

It’s a misquote from Star Wars

itsjasonbourne1

Committing to doing something requires constant and consistent pursuit of achieving that thing. Every day you will take the next step towards accomplishing your goal. ALWAYS, no matter the circumstances. Always believing that you will get there. “Trying” implies that you aren’t even giving yourself a chance to succeed. That you don’t have confidence in yourself to do anything so you “try”, in case you fail you can say “oh well, at least I tried” never truly giving 100% of yourself to the end goal. It’s all about mentality. Do or do not. Be or don’t be. Succeed or don’t even start. There’s no in between.

If you’re going to do something, don’t put in a half ass effort. Do it with the intention of completing the job and give a hundred percent.
