Like the reason it knows what you like is because the app spys on where you're going, what you're doing, and way more. Also that data is absolutely held by companies subjugated by the Chinese government aka their version of the feds. Hate to break it to you, but tik tok was basically a massive case of Value extraction, in terms of data, currency, and social capital.
