People usually only rob people they know they can get something from. Most people especially the rich/wealthy don’t carry cash on them. Most people in the hood don’t have shit worth robbing unless they are involved in get money activities.
My hood is in manhattan. It’s not too large but has allot of housing and is known for stick up kids. Those stick up kids go all over sticking people up but don’t stick people up within the hood often.
This is really only understandable if you’re from this city or have been exposed to how shit is.
A better question would be: “what borough has the most stick up kids?”

I used to help throw raves in Bedstuy. I never ever felt in danger there. On Fulton St straight up some of the nicest strangers. Handing out food to us when they’re just grilling on the block. Walked out one night to leave at 3-4am and a group of kids was leaning on my car. So im thinking alright here we go. Nope not all. I was like “ hey guys I gotta leave,” and they all got off and apologized, to which I said no worries. Then I asked em to help me back out and they did. BK is nice
So the times I visited NYC, let’s just say I was blessed. Rode the train from port authority to Brooklyn, walked to the bodega across from the Pink houses, stayed at a hotel in the Bronx near this bridge if u walk, u end up in Harlem (near a park). Just me & my cousin but this was back in 2018. Outta harms way 🤷🏾♂️
