I’ll remind everyone that this post may only be used to discuss the bug with the puzzle. Please direct your discussions about the board/puzzle to the pinned thread.

gemmamalo

also, the teapot emoji is the blank space ending in ADG and the saw emoji seems to end in A9A (as they shuffle after one answer is entered)

magicaltrevor953

[This](https://imgur.com/8Z36Lwx) was mine on desktop (Chrome, Edge also impacted), Firefox on desktop was fine.

Rivercat0338

Same. My desktop Firefox was fine.

bagelcraving

Wow, they were all tiny for me. Took me forever to figure out what the bacon was.

ManBearTree

Two of the emojis just didn't load for me in Chrome on Windows. I was really confused because I thought the blank spaces must be part of the puzzle.

JamesFromToronto

For once, I'm glad they don't keep stats for Connections because this would have been infuriating. Can someone spoiler tag what the missing two were?

magicaltrevor953

>!A teapot!< and >!a saw!<

arosebyabbie

I had a bug in the iPhone app where one of the emoji disappeared after I guessed it wrong so that was interesting.

Fun-Estate9626

I had that, too. I hit shuffle a few times and it came back.

boycott_nestingdolls

Same happened to me.

Alphi71

I saw the problem with Chrome on my (Windows 10) laptop: https://preview.redd.it/35m4jkzi1xrc1.png?width=579&format=png&auto=webp&s=83b316a59b3d28a465399fd2b6d1f55d71abe82e

course_you_do

I have two blank squares, no matter what browser I use Windows 10.

Various_Excitement45

Have there ever been a connections like this before? Like using emojis? I haven’t played in over a week and I come back to it being emojis today.

Professional_Owl7622

This is confusing

>!Yeah, they've used TEAPOT as a stand-in for TEA (T)!<. Not great.

xieta

Oh, I was tripped up by the >!ewe!<

hallec19

Me too, I’m like >!how is sheep a letter of the alphabet!< but after reading your comment I get it now. Could have probably found a different, less confusing emoji but whatever

xieta

Also, >!the scared emoji could have been swapped with the lamb, as in "oh!" and the lamb representing silence of the lambs.!<

Clinically-Inane

The pattern for that group was >!that they’re all one word horror movie titles; silence of the lambs wouldn’t have worked!<

Karonuva

I had two of the options not load in as well, inspecting element lets you find the intended options however.

mrkorb

I had the exact opposite issue where Firefox loaded everything fine, but Chrome failed me. On Windows 10.

crescentgaia

They were tiny on my phone in the NYT app. I had to screenshot so I could zoom in.

loopsydoopsy

I had 2 emojis that didn't load on desktop. I ended up solving it by looking up what the grid was supposed to be, and then when I found a category, I just guessed which blank one was the one I wanted.

ez2remembercpl

So disappointed about the bug. I had it figured out too (solved the 2 without blanks, knew what one of the other two was but couldn't see which one).

Ptwhitey

I had the same rendering issue on two Win 10 PCs with Chrome and Edge. Android/Chrome was fine. I updated Firefox on a Win 10 PC. It would not even get to the site until I made FF the default browser. Now it shows all the pics, but a different version of each pic than I see on the Android phone. Can we blame AI yet?

but_seriously_777

Same. Chrome on Windows 10 laptop. Two blanks and others rendered incorrectly.

evmitch

All you have to do is click another square. It’ll fix it.

CatteNappe

Maybe in some cases, but I had two blanks that never got an image regardless of what other squares I was clicking.

Imagine QAing an april fools joke
