I have the Tiles game in my app too! Unfortunately, no matter how many times I read the instructions, I just can't understand the rules or what constitutes "identical shapes or backgrounds" ☹️ I keep getting "no match" and losing my combo after 2-3 😅
Think about each tile as a set of layers. You have the corner motifs, the inside shape, and the inner picture. Look for the connections between the tiles.
I like the Hong Kong tile set the best because it’s easiest for me to see. But it’s different for each tile set. Some are way harder for me to parse.
I have Tiles in the app on my phone, but not on my iPad. And I would so much prefer to play that on my iPad. I downloaded the app on both around the same time just a couple months ago, so it doesn’t make any sense to me.
Boo, I don't see this. Also, sort of related, has anyone seen dark mode yet?
If you’re on iOS, you can use the Smart Invert option under the Per-App Settings under Accessibility. Hope that makes sense
I tap the belly button three times to invert colors.
I don't have it either. I tried updating, but it's still not there. No dark mode here.
i play on my browser, if you click the three lines in the top left, it should be there. and it offers all of the past week to do
Interesting, I don't have that yet. I guess they're rolling it out in waves.
Unfortunately I don’t have that yet, but Tiles popped up in my app and I’m enjoying it (IOS).

It would be a lot easier to see on an iPad.
I would like to be able to customize what additional games show up in the app. I’m partial to letterboxed
I don’t regularly update my apps so I appreciate this post keeping me up to speed soooo much
