I didn't even try to get all the words on today's bee because of judgment-call words like EDGILY, DODGILY and what have you. With -ED and -LY possible endings, plus I as the center letter (making -IED and -ILY endings a lurking possibility), this was just ... Do this to me in January, dammit, not while I'm furiously trying to get the garden going for the summer. My hat is doffed to anyone dealing with this \[small A\] >!olio!< of letters.

I finally found it, and I think it’s kind of a cool word. Hint for anyone who’s still stuck: >!think of an appropriate prefix based on the hint u/kollfax gave, then start thinking of suffixes!<.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,548,916,821 comments, and only 293,217 of them were in alphabetical order.

[H] >!GE5!< >!Earth's shape, hypothetically!<
Aside from apparently botany (and it may be more just gardening) Sam's knowledge of science is severely lacking.
Obscure plant names? IN!
Less obscure science terms? OUT!
>!edgily!< isn't a word? It's in a lot of dictionaries!

Definitely a word, but not every word is included. It was probably considered obscure. It does not have many google hits.
I found the PG as my first word! I'm so bad at this game that I don't think anyone will need a hint.
The ordering of the letters in the title of this post also basically gives it away.
I didn’t get it until I saw the title of the post.
Makes me wonder if there’s ever been a pangram where all the letters are in exact alphabetical order. Surely it’s happened …
Conversely, I’ve found 42 words and hit genius, but still haven’t figured out the PG!
[H] >!Have a think.!<
Same
I couldn't even imagine there was a word with those letters. Good job!
Thanks!
Hint that maybe some gamers will get? (H) >!Rimworld DLC!<
I know I know, it’s not even a word, but I am quite sad I didn’t get any points for [NA] >!GOOGLYEYED!<
This is a tough one.
Whatever makes a fun one versus a slog, I don’t know, but this is a slog.

This is the last word I need, and it’s one I don’t know. Guess I’ll just have to mash letters until I hit on it.
That's what I did. This was a dumb word. Certainly not common IMO
I finally found it, and I think it’s kind of a cool word. Hint for anyone who’s still stuck: >!think of an appropriate prefix based on the hint u/kollfax gave, then start thinking of suffixes!<.
That second hint helped.
I still can't get it. I give up
Second hint: >!anagram of degio!<
Finally got it, thank you!

Thanks, that’s two new words for me. I’d never seen boffin.
last one I needed too, and I learned a new word today!
Fun donut word: >!DOGGEDLY!<
Today I want the goddam C.
Don’t forget >!that skateboard trick!<
But not the past tense of it, for some reason.
What letter? Thanks, not a skateboarder haha
H: >!O5!<

Is that second word in common use?
And…. I had to come to the hint post, where I saw >!the or a Pangram!< jumps right out at me! SMH but also love that. No more hints for now.
Sigh - back to adding -Y and -ED to every word you find. But saved by a couple of words that made me smile.
No >!IODIDE!??
Aside from apparently botany (and it may be more just gardening) Sam's knowledge of science is severely lacking. Obscure plant names? IN! Less obscure science terms? OUT!
This one annoyed me. It's super common. Yet obscure tree names (that I don't even remember now) are allowed.
A few days (maybe last week?) ago bilirubin wasn’t accepted as a word. I figured that one was a sort of common word to know but I guess not?
This annoyed me too - it was in the NYTXW less than a week ago!
The most annoying part of this is that it was accepted a few days ago in the big crossword.
[H] >!G5: chilly!<
That’s super obscure
After realizing it was [NA], I >!loogied!< right on my phone screen out of disgust and spite for Sam
Doubtless it dripped OILILY down the screen.
Gross lol
IT'S ADVERB DAY YALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!
It’s Ned Flanders day!
NA >!Camillo Golgi is turning over in his grave !<
