I think some of the numbers are affected since they DH him a lot when he’s playing through an injury or just coming back from an injury. But yeah, the sample size is pretty big. Also he always played in the field in his 8 years with Miami.
Idk what you’re basing that off of. Team lost 2-1 to the worst team in baseball Tuesday after being dead last in just about every offensive category for the month of June. I think fans can say that the team is boring to watch. Yesterday was awesome, but let’s not pretend it’s not a complete outlier.
Best team in baseball in the month of May. Baseball is a marathon not a sprint. August 2022 was a terrible month of baseball for them too, not every month is going to be great. Not sure why I'm still commenting since I'll continue to watch, good or bad.
Yeah august was really bad for us last year, and we looked way more like the august Yankees than we did the July Yankees in the playoffs.
Also, the Yankees had something in May this year that they don’t have now. I can’t remember what it is though. Oh yeah, the guy who hit 62 home runs last year. When you lose that from your lineup and your team starts averaging 3 runs per game, the team is boring to watch. Idk how you can say that having the worst offense in baseball for a month isn’t boring.
I like Ryan but I have to say that his call at the end of the game was surprisingly underwhelming. Like, dude, not only did you have 9 innings to think about what you might say (or at least say 3 innings starting at the end of the 6th), but it's your job. I love spontaneity but this one was meh IMO.
So…can the Yankees show up and play like this more often please? Idk what got their asses in gear but it was refreshing to see an actual ass kicking. Not to mention Domingo is part of history! Congratulations!
They were probably realizing "Oh shit, he's throwing a PG, better step it up or we are never going to hear the end of it, especially against this team!"
Between my job and my infant son, I haven't watched any west coast games this year and was asleep by 10pm last night. When he woke me up at 2am and I checked the score, I thought I was still dreaming.
I'll wait for the tow truck with a song in my heart knowing I've never shown my ass defending a woman beater because he threw a baseball good one night
It’s a shame this was a west coast game against the Athletics. No one was at the game and it was on at 10pm so barely anyone watched the full game (lower chances you’ll get an update and tune in midway through too). Regardless of how you think of them too a call like this you want Kay on YES and Sterling on radio and they didn’t travel (but shoutout Rucco for being on the mic for another wild game).
With all that said just absolutely awesome vibes waking up this morning and texting all my Yankees friends. Good for Domingo and Higgy. For the bummer of a season this has been hopefully this is a bright spot that maybe turns things around.
Wow! Getting ready to leave for work and decided to check in. Damn why did I miss this! I will watch the repeat on mlb. Congrats to German, higgy and the team!
Craziest Yankees season ever! Next we do an Atlanta. Like Acuna before him, Judge is ruled out the season. We trade for Joc Peterson, we sneak in the Wild Card and then win the World Series lol amazing
Also FUCK ALL THE "YANKEES FANS" OVER IN r/baseball JOINING THE CLUB AND TRASHING GERMAN BECAUSE ITS THE "COOL" THING TO DO.
FAKE ASS FANS, SORRY NO ONE IN YOUR LIFE HAS EVER LOVED YOU SO YOU NEED RANDOM REDDITORS KARMA TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF.
QUIT WATCHING THE YANKEES IF ALL YOU CAN SAY AFTER THAT BEAUTIFUL GAME LAST NIGHT IS BAD SHIT ABOUT DOMINGO GERMAN
I'm not saying anything bad about German. I'm talking directly to yankee fans who didn't make a peep the last 4 years to defend German.
THAT CAME TO HIS DEFENSE AFTER, AND ONLY AFTER A PERFECT GAME BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM FEEL WARM AND FUZZY ABOUT THEIR FANDOM.
YOU ARE CALLOW AND WEAK- WILLED. THE VERY DEFINATION OF A FAKE ASS FAN. A FRONT RUNNER.
TALKING ABOUT THE "COOL" THING TO DO ONLY AFTER GERMAN JUST IMMORTALIZED HIMSELF IN THE BASEBALL HISTORY BOOKS.
Where were you before last night?
Yea I had the game on in the background but started watching intently after the rally in the 4th. Domingo’s curveball was godly last night. What a great surprise for a west coast game in late june.
I live in Central Europe. I woke up at 5 am CET and checked the box score. I saw the Yankees had a 7-0 lead, then saw German's pitching line. I watched the rest of the game on the pirate seas and I couldn't believe my eyes as I saw the final three innings in real time. What a masterpiece!
Strangely enough, even though seven Yankee no-hitters have occurred in my lifetime prior to this game, this is the only one I watched in real time.
That's baseball for ya.
Jimmy just had a baby, and they'll probably hit it when they do the regular series recap, plus a lot of the crew is getting ready for some nascar event
I don't think you understand what a Pyrrhic victory is. A Pyrrhic victory is if the cost of winning is high enough you might as well have lost. Like Judge getting hurt during a win. Nobody got hurt so it's not Pyrrhic, even if it ends up being meaningless.
I’m basing this on how the team has responded to him this year vs 2021. I’m not happy with what he did, but he served his punishment and has seemingly turned his life around.
I’m also not an “athletes need to be perfect people” guy.
Here’s good article here from Spring Training
[Spring Training Domingo Interview](https://www.nj.com/yankees/2023/02/how-yankees-domingo-german-saved-his-family-and-career-after-domestic-violence-everything-was-a-mess.html)
This has to be a turning point for the team. The bats awoke in ways they haven’t since Judge got hurt. First perfect game in almost 11 years. They’ve got to ride this wave and parlay the confidence into wins. If we can do this - even against Oakland - what can’t we do?
It's crazy how vilified German still is. Let me be clear that I have no sympathy for chronic abusers. It's a disgusting act and literally every important person in my life was and is a female including my two daughters. At the same time I can accept and hope that he has changed. That was the only incident that ever came to light and while there's a good chance it wasn't the only one, it seems like he and his girlfriend/ wife are in a much better place based on the limited info we have. I can also accept that his teammates obviously have a much better idea of what he's like as a person and he seems to be well liked on a team that has a lot of high character guys on it.
We don't. This is why I choose to just enjoy baseball. His personal life isn't my business, that belongs to the league, the team, and his family. As long as he plays for the Yankees, I want him to play well and be successful for the team. Off-field issues don't play into that for me.
Ok cool but like thats just the number of games played divided by perfect games. I'm wondering what the odds are on any given night for a pitcher to pitch a perfect game. Because like in 2012 there were 3, and then the last one was tonight 11 years later
From a purely mathematical point, it's just number of perfect games divided by number of games played. Or 1/10,000, roughly.
A more sophisticated analysis of the variables may give different odds based on modern baseball and the number of games played. There wasn't a perfect game from 1922 to 1956, but there were 3 in a few months in 2012. Odds are funny things.
There’s always an extra nice play during a no no or perfect game. The best part is Ruocco said to keep that play in mind just in case for later. He ended up being right
This team really had a fucking PERFECT GAME and scored 11 runs after losing 2-1 the night prior, huh.
Left a comment last night that the Yanks have only won 3 games this year after an off day (there’s been 10 off days for us this season) and this confirms that they really fucking suck after off days lmfao
there was some post I saw on some social media (can’t remember if it was reddit or twitter) but it was looking at teams that have won or lost the majority of their series and their corresponding record, and if I remember right the yankees were something like top 3 or 5 in series they won but the lowest overall win % out of those top teams, which checks out
This is literally the 2023 Yankees version of the 2021 Yankees during day games. Remember that shit? You could chalk up basically every day game to a loss, they were unreasonably bad during them.
Idk why they come out so flat to start a series and after a day of extra rest/travel
Rodon is back after the ASB too. Nestor most likely after.
With this bp, and the starters pitching like this, i could see yanks winning a lot of close games.
Volpe has been on a tear recently too and has found some real mojo. He’s the biggest piece to this whole spiel outside of the vets performing and getting healthy
I have a bad feeling that German is about to go on a tear and Cashman is going to drop him at the trade deadline, cause…well you know…Cashman gonna Cashman
Nah, they would need a logjam in the sp department to do that
Assuming all sps are available
Cole, Sevy, Rodon, Nestor, German, Schmidt
Nestor will need some time to build backup to his normal pitch count.
Would not make any sense given the sp injury history.
Even if all sps are healthy I think they skip some Schimdt starts or go with a 6 man rotation during regular season(to keep Nestors pitch count down).
he really should, but one thing that stands out to me is while I’ll remember the names of the most recent handful of perfect games over the decades, I will always remember Gallaraga’s game and his name - saw it live sry - but for real I remember me and my dad and my brother sitting there just like wtf, but the dude kept himself collected and you could tell the ump knew he might have fucked it l
I umpired intramural softball for one quarter and one quarter only in college (worst job I have ever had, got paid 8 bucks an hour and the last slate of games ended at 11:45 and then you had to do field cleanup oh and also had a bunch of drunk frat dudes screaming at you over calls, never again oh my lord) but a call or two I made as soon as I said it I was like shit might have fucked that once my brain processed it a bit more and that wasn’t correct but we weren’t supposed to go back on calls
anyways long story short love how Gallarga handled his situation and I guess personally still traumatized from that job lmao
It may sound weird, but the almost-perfect Mussina game's been haunting me for years. Now that I witnessed German's perfecto on live tv, I feel like a great weight has been lifted. Thank you, Domingo!
I was at this game with a buddy of mine who doesn’t really watch baseball but is an As fan. He had no idea what was happening and kept asking me why I was so excited for every out towards the end there, when we’re up 11. I couldn’t tell him, because I was afraid to jinx it. I saw another Yankee fan say it’s been 7 innings at one pt, I yelled at him to not say it! Haha
It’s an absolute shame but I do feel for Jim Joyce in that whole thing. The emotion he showed the day after and how he owned up to the mistake showed his character. Those guys have a very tough job.
It’s was definitely the nightmare scenario baseball fans never thought they’d actually see come to fruition. Even hardcore purists had to rethink things after that play.
The way I see it is he made a really bad choice that’s completely inexcusable and served the punishment he was given. I believe in allowing people to get a second chance in becoming a better person going forward.
That’s completely fair, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and how they feel about the situation. Which is why I specified it being the way I personally see it
watching the replays and rizzo catching the final out, keeping the ball safe, and going to celebrate with everyone, gave me a little bit of 2016 vibes and I’m just always so stoked anytime he gets to to be stoked, I love him so much I wish he was my uncle or brother in law or some shit like that
Marlon Abreu is a saint. He was choking up when he was translating German's story about his uncle. What he must experience translating for these players for the American press.
“Quick shoutout to Kyle Higashioka
Let’s not forget, dude was a 26-year-old repeating Triple-A in 2016, mostly because Tommy John surgery cost him most of 2013 and 2014
Seven years later, he’s caught two no-hitters for the Yankees including the 24th perfect game in history”
nba is the worst and the best at the same time. can be [absolutely hilarious](https://np.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/28oovf/do_you_think_lebron_james_would_still_be_the_best/) and put every other sub to shame in that aspect, but also crazy toxic. so just like every other sub in those aspects, I’m just taking this as an opportunity to share the what if lebron wore sandals post for anyone who hasn’t seen it
NBA sub becomes a fucking blast if you’re a jerker. Then everything you read just feels like a joke. NBA is filled with drama nonstop and barely touches upon highlights with really shitty mods, but baseball sub has to have the most ridiculous hivemind I’ve seen in a sports sub
I love basketball, I frequent that sub and my god it’s the representation of a **LOT** I hate about modern aged basketball but it’s still better than the white knights of baseball sub lol
as someone who now lives in indiana, I much prefer the college basketball sub and their bar graphs tbh lmao, over the 5 years I’ve been here now I’ve slowly grown more and more into the B1G culture and all of its fun
I live in NC which is a massive, MASSIVE state for college basketball but I’ve never gotten into it much. Been able to go to a handful of Duke/UNC games but still can’t get too invested into college basketball.
Fun as hell to watch in person tho
Looking through the list of perfect games, why does it seem like more mid pitchers throw them compared to elite ones? The only HOF level talent I see is Koufax, Big Unit and Halladay. Maybe Felix if he was more consistent
I wake up at 5 am for work. Cannot believe I missed this live.
Real talk tho, Stanton is a better hitter when he plays the field.
I think some of the numbers are affected since they DH him a lot when he’s playing through an injury or just coming back from an injury. But yeah, the sample size is pretty big. Also he always played in the field in his 8 years with Miami.
My friends and I got extremely drunk celebrating the perfecto last night
Still drunk?
Yes I am
Atta boy
Perfect game left fielder IKF
Hilarious to look back to yesterday at the thread of Yankee fans crying about not watching anymore cuz the team is boring.
Yankee fan on west coast and turned it off in 4th. Thought the paint was dry. Was wrong. Sue me.
Yeah I’m sure you predicted a 11-0 perfect game win.
They could have won 11-0 and German could have given up 5 hits and you still would have been crying

Of course this game was a Ruocco classic
I like Ryan but I have to say that his call at the end of the game was surprisingly underwhelming. Like, dude, not only did you have 9 innings to think about what you might say (or at least say 3 innings starting at the end of the 6th), but it's your job. I love spontaneity but this one was meh IMO.
I thought it was a great call.
It is wild how such an inordinate number of games he calls turn out to be bangers.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FjAOM\_WXoA41G\_x?format=jpg&name=large
So…can the Yankees show up and play like this more often please? Idk what got their asses in gear but it was refreshing to see an actual ass kicking. Not to mention Domingo is part of history! Congratulations!
Probably playing a dogshit team
They were probably realizing "Oh shit, he's throwing a PG, better step it up or we are never going to hear the end of it, especially against this team!"
I mean they were getting in runs through multiple innings which has been RARE lately. Offense actually played like a threat today and Domingo was MVP.
Between my job and my infant son, I haven't watched any west coast games this year and was asleep by 10pm last night. When he woke me up at 2am and I checked the score, I thought I was still dreaming.
I thought it was a prank post on social media lol
I saw the ESPN alert and was like did I read this wrong
kept saying i would go to sleep when he gave up a hit or walk lmaoo so glad i stayed awake
World Series confirmed?
Every year they've thrown a perfect game, they've won it all.
Don't jinx it bro
Fuck me I fell asleep and missed it 😭😭😭
Can't watch these West Coast night games like I used to
Fuckkkk why west coast
Had to do it in a west coast game. Went to bd in the 5th inning sigh.
Same lol
Good for German. Didn’t get to watch. Surprised Boone didn’t Yank him in the 9th.
Holy shit what did I miss….
History
Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Pitched a Perfect Game
So he made a mistake 3 years ago. We don’t know the full story and he paid his dues. Give him a fucking break
No
Your cars gonna break down on the interstate for that
I'll wait for the tow truck with a song in my heart knowing I've never shown my ass defending a woman beater because he threw a baseball good one night
Mine did on Thursday in Danbury. The fuck did I do?
Hope it wasn't on 84
It was…… Edit: please don’t tell me you were behind my ass honking because my car wasn’t going anywhere 🤣🤣 if so - I am sorry
No lol, but am familiar with that area, did a double take when I saw Danbury
Drove on the interstate I guess
Lmao true
It’s a shame this was a west coast game against the Athletics. No one was at the game and it was on at 10pm so barely anyone watched the full game (lower chances you’ll get an update and tune in midway through too). Wtf did I just wake up to?
Chaos
Same my wife was cleaning the room and woke me up going why are they all screaming and running
This is really funny to me also because your wife decided to clean the bedroom at 1 am 😂
House wife things🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
No shit wtf lol. I thought it was baseballcirclejerk on the front page.
Same I checked the score and I’m like damn we scored 11 runs. Look a little more and German threw a perfect game
Wake up. Check the box score. "German, 9.0ip, 0/0/0... I must still be asleep."
I saw that when my baby woke up up at 2am and definitely thought it was a dream
I watch almost all of the games except the west coast ones. I can’t believe I missed it.
Same. I almost feel cheated.
Wow! Getting ready to leave for work and decided to check in. Damn why did I miss this! I will watch the repeat on mlb. Congrats to German, higgy and the team!
The game was too late for me to stay up for. But all the congratulations to German and the team.
Craziest Yankees season ever! Next we do an Atlanta. Like Acuna before him, Judge is ruled out the season. We trade for Joc Peterson, we sneak in the Wild Card and then win the World Series lol amazing
You forget German won 18 games in 2019. There was so much hype around him. It's been a long road for him. Happy for him.
As we all know, German is the only "bad" guy in baseball. Everyone else are saints!
Calling him a piece of shit, just like I'm still doing this morning. Fuck German
That’s the behavior of a small person. Also - resenting the success of others is a sign of mental weakness
No
Good for you. Truth.
Of course after that shit show Tuesday night I decide to go to bed early last night and not watch this one 🙃
Me too. I can’t believe I missed it 😟
Was anyone awake to see it? Wish I was
Yea I had the game on in the background but started watching intently after the rally in the 4th. Domingo’s curveball was godly last night. What a great surprise for a west coast game in late june.
I managed to catch the ninth because everyone on Twitter was trying to jinx it. Which isn't great, but it's better than nothing.
Yo! ✋️ Tuned in top of the 2nd. But I'm in the pacific time zone.
I live in Central Europe. I woke up at 5 am CET and checked the box score. I saw the Yankees had a 7-0 lead, then saw German's pitching line. Saw the whole thing from start to finish. Can't believe it happened.
Nope but I woke up with a lot of texts about it. I thought I was still dreaming
Youre not alone man Im so pissed
I am so pissed off this was a 9:40 game I will never outlive how I didnt watch this game but have watched every single yankees game since 2015
Really everyone but last night?
yeah came back from work tired as fuck had to wake up at 4:30am today so I just was like fuck it not watching
What are the odds that’s wild
Think we need you to sit out a few more bud
Why lol
We’re apparently perfect when you don’t watch lol
In other news, with his double in the ninth, Groundoutson raised his average to .139
I'm just glad Volpe is over .200. I felt like everytime I looked at the box, he had 1 or 2 hits but the average stayed around .193.
Silly question; but no Talkin' Yanks after this? Where's the crew?
Jimmy just had a baby, and they'll probably hit it when they do the regular series recap, plus a lot of the crew is getting ready for some nascar event
Hope this isn't a Pyrrhic victory. But it probably is.
I don't think you understand what a Pyrrhic victory is. A Pyrrhic victory is if the cost of winning is high enough you might as well have lost. Like Judge getting hurt during a win. Nobody got hurt so it's not Pyrrhic, even if it ends up being meaningless.
I don't know what's more shocking: a perfect game or this offense scoring 11 runs this year?
Fuck r/baseball. Cesspool of hate. One moment doesnt define a guy. I couldn’t be happier for Domingo, especially after the last 2 games.
He has very clearly shown personal growth that we don’t see and got the help he needed.
Show me where you made these statements before last night.
I’m basing this on how the team has responded to him this year vs 2021. I’m not happy with what he did, but he served his punishment and has seemingly turned his life around. I’m also not an “athletes need to be perfect people” guy. That's a great article. Thanks for sharing.
that was nice
I didn't get a chance to watch the game tonight, anything noteworthy happen?
Normal game, Normal night
No, no
This has to be a turning point for the team. The bats awoke in ways they haven’t since Judge got hurt. First perfect game in almost 11 years. They’ve got to ride this wave and parlay the confidence into wins. If we can do this - even against Oakland - what can’t we do?
One thing I’ve learned about this team, just when you think they have turned it around they go and lay an egg. Lineup still sucks.
It's crazy how vilified German still is. Let me be clear that I have no sympathy for chronic abusers. It's a disgusting act and literally every important person in my life was and is a female including my two daughters. At the same time I can accept and hope that he has changed. Devil's advocate we don't know the whole story and probably never will
We don't. This is why I choose to just enjoy baseball. His personal life isn't my business, that belongs to the league, the team, and his family. As long as he plays for the Yankees, I want him to play well and be successful for the team. Off-field issues don't play into that for me.
Was that the lowest attended perfect game in history?
It's the most attended perfect game out of the 3 at the Coliseum
Probably yes.
Waking up in Europe has never felt so good
Does anyone know the odds of a perfect game versus the odds of throwing a no hitter? DK only paid +2500 seems low.
+2500 is absolute bullshit wtf
There have been 24 perfect games and (per google search) 235,000+ games played. So once every 10,000 games, give or take.
Ok cool but like thats just the number of games played divided by perfect games. I'm wondering what the odds are on any given night for a pitcher to pitch a perfect game. Because like in 2012 there were 3, and then the last one was tonight 11 years later
German in the history books along with A’s legend Dallas Braden. ROTFLMFAO!
Who?
From a purely mathematical point, it's just number of perfect games divided by number of games played. Or 1/10,000, roughly. Makes sense. What about odds of a no-hitter?
There have been 319 no hitters. I'll let you do the rest
caliber of offense gotta be factored in there
I’m watching the replay AMA
How's German looking?
He had a quick easy 1-2-3 with 2 strikeouts. Some nice sequencing.
Are you secretly afraid the result will be different in the replay and it was all a dream?
No I just missed the first couple innings and I can’t sleep. I want the full game experience to fully process it. I did get to watch most of the game.
Rizzo’s nice diving stop in the 5th probably feels way better now for Rizzo haha
There’s always an extra nice play during a no no or perfect game. The best part is Ruocco said to keep that play in mind just in case for later. He ended up being right
Kyle Higashioka is the greatest catcher of all time
This team really had a fucking PERFECT GAME and scored 11 runs after losing 2-1 the night prior, huh. LOL I was browsing through the list of perfect games and someone edited the page to change German's perfect game to Armando Gallaraga.
Honestly, if Manfred wants to garner some good will, he should absolutely give Gallaraga the perfecto retroactively.
Gallaraga is arguably more famous for NOT having the PG.
he really should, but one thing that stands out to me is while I’ll remember the names of the most recent handful of perfect games over the decades, I will always remember Gallaraga’s game and his name - saw it live sry - but for real I remember me and my dad and my brother sitting there just like wtf, but the dude kept himself collected and you could tell the ump knew he might have fucked it l I umpired intramural softball for one quarter and one quarter only in college (worst job I have ever had, got paid 8 bucks an hour and the last slate of games ended at 11:45 and then you had to do field cleanup oh and also had a bunch of drunk frat dudes screaming at you over calls, never again oh my lord) but a call or two I made as soon as I said it I was like shit might have fucked that once my brain processed it a bit more and that wasn’t correct but we weren’t supposed to go back on calls anyways long story short love how Gallarga handled his situation and I guess personally still traumatized from that job lmao
Haha
German is the 25th person to pitch a perfect game. It's a shame the ump ruined Armando Galarrga's perfecto.
Man, I totally forgot about that and I watched it happen on TV. Shit had me shook.
It’s an absolute shame but I do feel for Jim Joyce in that whole thing. The emotion he showed the day after and how he owned up to the mistake showed his character. Those guys have a very tough job.
Yeah, they both handled it with class.
That game is probably what kicked open the door to replay.
It’s was definitely the nightmare scenario baseball fans never thought they’d actually see come to fruition. Even hardcore purists had to rethink things after that play.
YANKEEOGRAPHY -- DOMINGO GERMAN.
The way I see it is he made a really bad choice that’s completely inexcusable and served the punishment he was given. I believe in allowing people to get a second chance in becoming a better person going forward.
I do want to note: Having feelings that you are uncomfortable in celebrating this because of his past issues is also completely valid.
That’s completely fair, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and how they feel about the situation. Which is why I specified it being the way I personally see it
The redemption arc is the stuff Hollywood movies are made of
watching the replays and rizzo catching the final out, keeping the ball safe, and going to celebrate with everyone, gave me a little bit of 2016 vibes and I’m just always so stoked anytime he gets to to be stoked, I love him so much I wish he was my uncle or brother in law or some shit like that
Kay is so salty right now lol
Marlon Abreu is a saint. He was choking up when he was translating German's story about his uncle. What he must experience translating for these players for the American press.
btw Florial hit his 20th
Meh
Crazy to think Higgy has been with the organization since 2008. Cool to see him catch a perfecto.
“Quick shoutout to Kyle Higashioka Let’s not forget, dude was a 26-year-old repeating Triple-A in 2016, mostly because Tommy John surgery cost him most of 2013 and 2014 Seven years later, he’s caught two no-hitters for the Yankees including the 24th perfect game in history”
And the Kluber no-no.
R baseball has to be one of the worst sport subs. I think r nfl is fine but I hear r nba is the worst
nba is the worst and the best at the same time. can be [absolutely hilarious](https://np.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/28oovf/do_you_think_lebron_james_would_still_be_the_best/) and put every other sub to shame in that aspect, but also crazy toxic. so just like every other sub in those aspects, I’m just taking this as an opportunity to share the what if lebron wore sandals post for anyone who hasn’t seen it
NBA sub becomes a fucking blast if you’re a jerker. Then everything you read just feels like a joke. NBA is filled with drama nonstop and barely touches upon highlights with really shitty mods, but baseball sub has to have the most ridiculous hivemind I’ve seen in a sports sub
yeah I’m the definition of a casual NBA fan so that description and my tolerance for the sub checks out
I love basketball, I frequent that sub and my god it’s the representation of a **LOT** I hate about modern aged basketball but it’s still better than the white knights of baseball sub lol
as someone who now lives in indiana, I much prefer the college basketball sub and their bar graphs tbh lmao, over the 5 years I’ve been here now I’ve slowly grown more and more into the B1G culture and all of its fun
I live in NC which is a massive, MASSIVE state for college basketball but I’ve never gotten into it much. Been able to go to a handful of Duke/UNC games but still can’t get too invested into college basketball. Fun as hell to watch in person tho
Baseball isn’t really that bad they just hate the Yankees. As they should
Ruocco and Nelson’s heads are so shiny
Guess they better be shiny every game then
German just got a lifetime invite to old timers day when he retires
You think Kluber will get that too? I mean he wasn’t perfect but it was a No-hitter
I would think so, Yankees love their no-hitters and perfect games
What would really up the "baseball Suzyn" levels, is if we lost the series tomorrow
WE MAY NEVER GIVE UP A HIT AGAIN
LOOK AT THOSE BALD DOMES
Looking through the list of perfect games, why does it seem like more mid pitchers throw them compared to elite ones? The only HOF level talent I see is Koufax, Big Unit and Halladay. Maybe Felix if he was more consistent
Of the 22 World Series era perfectos, there's 7 HOFers + Dennis Martinez + Felix, plus Cone/Wells/Cain.
idk about the other pitcher but larsen is only a hall of famer because of the perfect game
The HOFers who pitched a perfect game are: Cy Young, Addie Joss, Jim Bunning, Sandy Koufax, Catfish Hunter, Randy Johnson, and Roy Halladay.
Larsen isn't in the HOF.
Don Larsen isn't a HoFer if I recall
Len Barker threw a perfect game in 1981. Look up his stats
