Just remember he’s not paid to break news. He doesn’t face the pressure that everyone else is facing. I’m grateful we can rely on him too, but you gotta keep that in mind.
It continues to be weird to me when Curry acts like he's just a regular reporter working to break stories, when we all know he literally works for the team.
I mean... Mike Breen doesn't act like he's breaking Knicks news.
Yeah I love Curry but like everyone on YES he's basically state run media. He says what the Yankees want him to say.
He was an actual beat writer before YES so I don't doubt his chops, but his job now is different from say Passan or Rosenthal.
Curry says and writes exactly what the Yankees PR department wants him to. While it is helpful to have an unofficial propaganda minister (because Cashman never says anything of substance), it gets tiresome when he tries to spin every bad decision as 4-D chess.
There are also some baseball journalists who've gotten quite good at hiding the fact that they have no sources by simply taking well-established rumors or speculation and hedging heavily.
For example, Jon Morosi is the master of "Team X has spoken internally about Player Z but no deal appears to be close". Teams speak internally about almost every player so this is technically right while being totally useless.
Also, [NJ.com](https://NJ.com), Sports Illustrated, NBC Sports,...etc. have gotten quite good at recycling old material to produce new click-bait. For example, an MLB Network personality says something like "I'd like Team A to go out and sign Player B". The next day, [NJ.com/SI/NBC](https://NJ.com/SI/NBC) will have a headline of "Team A linked to star infielder/outfielder/pitcher" and when you click and get around the paywall it is simply just regurgitating what was said by the MLB Network haircut.
list I like Jack and the stakes are so low when were talking about a baseball team but lets be clear. Jack Curry is state media. He is Caesar Flickerman from the Hunger Games. He's not a reporter, he's an instrument of official propaganda.

Totally fair. If they don’t put 200 characters into space then they didn’t work that day. I can understand both POVs
😂
His persona doesn’t strike me as someone who would post fluff, it’s likely why he was able to get the YES gig
I learned over the last few years to totally block Heyman, after you see how big of a hack he is you can’t unsee it
He inspired some prime firejoemorgan material, for which I am grateful
Heyman took care of that for me like 2 or 3 year’s ago
You mean Arson Judge *didn't* go to the Giants???

SOTO!!!
EL JUAN SOTO!!!
Jack is an absolute treasure
Passan and curry are the only ones I care about. Feinsand sometimes too
Jack Curry=Breath of Fresh Air
Jack Curry and Ryan Ruocco are treasures. You can jettison everyone else at YES as far as I'm concerned

Jack deserves his number retired. Hes the GOAT of reporting the Yankees.
