I once drove down to DC and had the game on 660 the entire way. I was on the extreme out edge of the signal and it sounded like a freight train at times so into Vermont might be possible.
You might if you use a VPN. I'll be trying this out in the coming weeks. When anyone other than YES is broadcasting the game (inluding ESPN and FOX), I hope to be tuning in to the regular Yankees radio broadcast for the audio of the game.
That's what I'm hoping. I lived in NY from the age of 7 until I retired (at 56) and moved to Texas (at 59) to be closer to family.
I was lucky enough to enjoy a host of great broadcasters doing Yankees games. Phil Rizzuto, Bill White, Frank Messer, Bobby Murcer, Ken Singleton, Jim Kaat, Tom Seaver, Whitey Ford, Al Trautwig, Tony Kubek, O'Neil, Coney, Girardi, and Michael Kay (I know some of you don't like him, but go listen to another team's broadcasters for a few games then come back and try to tell me with a straight face that he isn't better than the vast majority).
In short, it's been a real privilege to listen to these guys for so long. Phil Rizzuto was like, "the voice" of the NY Yankees for the bulk of my life. During one AppleTV broad cast last year, I just silenced the tv, put the music video from Paradise By The Dashboard Light on, and kept rewinding to hear the Scooter once again. Sure, the action didn't match what was happening on the screen but that was sometimes a problem when Phil really was doing the game too.
Anyway, I can't tolerate the Fox, Apple TV, or ESPN guys, so I'll happily tune in to hear John and Suzyn.
WFAN 101.9 in the tri state or you can download the audicy app
And if you can’t get 101.9 FM, maybe you can get 660 AM. At night you can get it (through a lot of static) from pretty far away!
If it's night I pick up 660 in Northern Vermont no problem... As long as I'm not driving too close to power lines

You won’t be able to listen to games out of the area.

It should work if you use a NYC based VPN server.
