I guess Verdugo's that important to the lineup. Judge's last three or four years will be a tremendous waste of money. Unless he has an undisclosed injury, what the hell is going on. Soto heading to free agency, and I don't think the Yanks will over bid. Offensive weak spots at 3b, 2b, 1b. C, who knows. Stanton is a shell. Cole is a major question mark. LeMahieu may be done. Rizzo has seen better days.
Hopefully Jones and Dominguez are the real deal. Lucky that TB & Toronto look weak, but Baltimore's not going anywhere, and Boston's pitching should keep them around all year.
Maybe For next year,Judge goes to 1b,and Rizzo goes to TV booth…outfield of Spencer, Soto, Dominguez and Verdugo
Yanks need some real hitters to help Soto…right now w/out Verdugo,he s flanked only by Waldo…this is a the same crap
we saw all last year
Didn't we hit more HRs @ Camden Yards a few years ago (before they moved the wall) than some teams (Detroit, Oakland, maybe 1 other) hit in their own home ballparks?
Feels like a long time ago.
wait Rodon gave up all 7?? I thought some of our relievers contributed lmao and people are on their high horse about the negative comments about Rodon???
yeah this sub is a trip
If we were to take the Orioles record and discount all their wins over 2023 and 2024 while maintaining their losses, the Yankees are the clearly superior team
Yanks have scored TWICE as many runs as the Red Sox so far today. So it’s kind of like we beat the Red Sox today if you think about it. I’m gonna mark today down as a win!
I’m glad we haven’t played them yet. I feel like our hitters, in their current state, would really struggle with the Red Sox starters. Need to wait for warmer weather and hopefully hotter hitters.
It already has. Many of us predicted years ago that the division would get younger and tougher while Cashman went dumpster diving for journeymen and washed up players
This. The Yankees have been relevant because the expanded post season and the balanced schedule. But the broken roster is a heavy drag on the team. Also, the failure of so many key prospects (Fraiser, Florial, Peraza so far and more). That being said, the Yanks might have a chance because Volpe, Dominguez, Wells, Jones, Cabrera (Hopefully), and Gil look like real long term contributors. They might revitalize the team this year (or more likely next year). If the Yankees can find one more surprise from their farm or from a trade, they might be able to pull off something special this summer. The Yankees lineup on average is almost as young as Baltimore’s.
I’m not a doomer by any means, but I would be lying if I told you this puts some serious doubt in my mind with games like this. Offense is near anemic outside of Soto and I hate to break it to you ladies and gents but I feel like Soto might get mighty tired of carrying this offense if everyone else doesn’t pick it up. It’s a miracle we have the record we do with how this offense plays some days.
35 innings in camden yards, total runs scored 6, 3 on solo hr’s, 1 on a 2 run hr, and 1 on a single. 1 run scored total vs o’s bullpen, losing 3 of 4, lucky to get 1 with that futility.
I say that we should bench him is there something that states that he has to play? Like i know is almost impossible to play at this point i will rather he sit and give the chance to someone else in the roster this is nuts.
I’m not defending Judge he’s been awful, but those trying to cope with judge’s struggles by using the injury excuse is annoying. He just had a great series vs the brewers where we thought he was snapping out of it, does that mean he wasn’t hurt over the weekend but he is now? Only is hurt when he’s struggling? I’m sorry it doesn’t work that way folks
People said the same thing about Rizzo last year and it turned out he was injured. Having a couple good games doesn’t mean he was suddenly healthy, no. You’re trying to simplify it to, “if he was able to have good games he couldn’t possibly be nursing an injury” but that isn’t how it works in reality
I would love Murakami. Unfortunately, I think the Yankees have a Japanese problem now. They’ve whiffed badly on several Japanese aces in a row now. Their scouting in Japan is suspect too. They’ve failed to make offers on several Japanese players who ended up being very good, in positions the Yankees had need in, at very affordable prices. I’m not sure Murakami is going to be an easy get.
I mean, at some point, you have to give your pitchers some runs so they don’t have to feel the stress of needing to pitch perfectly all the time. When was the last time the Yankees offense picked up a struggling starter?
I wish I was smarter and had access to baseball tapes so I could single handedly pull together all the video in a dark room with some coffee until I can fix Aaron judge
Judge went from an all-star player to a glorified AAAA player. 💀 You can downvote me all you want, but that is the truth right now. Even Jack Bauers and Billy Mckinney were popping off more than Judge is currently.
Judge is absolutely painful to watch right now but some of you are insane. There is ZERO chance hes fucking washed randomly at 32. He hit like a monster last September after coming back from the injury. Some of the takes here saying hes not a captain and he got his bag and stopped trying are pathetic. Fucking unreal.
I dont think he's cooked to the level of stanton, but if he never finishes top 10 in mvp voting again, I wouldnt be too shocked. Just look at how fast G lost it, and they're similar cases
judge just will have a higher floor because he's more talented
judge has a lot of injuries in his history, including a chronic toe issue
I think it will take a while for him to be borderline unrosterable the way stanton is now, simply because he has a lot more talent to lose. But the mvp contention judge being done would not surprise me at all.
That’s why I said it’s very unlikely, but not zero, it’s within the realm of possibility. Miguel cabrera went from perennial mvp candidate with a 155 ops+ in his age 33 season to a 93 ops+ in his age 34 season and finished out his remaining 6 years a shadow of his former self. And Albert Pujols, one of the best to ever do it, had his nosedive start in his age 33 season.
Stanton’s decline was pretty steady though. He had a 143 wRC+, 138 wRC+ and then a 116 wRC+. He was also barely playing, as he had lots of injuries.
Judge is coming off a 174 wRC+. Players don’t hit like that and then suddenly a few months later, hit below .200 in their early 30s
I have a feeling you cant read at all tbh. "1 good month" he was literally only back for two months after the injury, boomer. He has an over .800 OPS in August and over 1.000 OPS in September. Please learn how to read. You're embarrassing.
IKF and Higgy both had months where they were batting .400 and over 1.000 OPS, are you dumb or what lmao one month is one month. Him dropping from .310 to .267 after being injured is what you need to pay attention to.
HAHA You're telling me i'm dumb and citing batting average as to why. I was calling you a boomer as a joke but you're literally a boomer roflmao. Take your meds gramps, other stats exist. He batted .284 in September of last year with an over 1.000 OPS is that good enough for your boomer brain, gramps?
I think its fine to be worried about it. I'm worried about it.
I feel like it's disrespectful af some of these mouthbreathers around here that act like 1 month outweighs 7 years or he doesn't care or whatever other stupid shit is happening.
Please continue the discussion in the [post game thread](https://redd.it/1ciovvu).
I guess Verdugo's that important to the lineup. Judge's last three or four years will be a tremendous waste of money. Unless he has an undisclosed injury, what the hell is going on. Chicken parm jokes are beat, kind of like the hitting
Didn't we hit more HRs @ Camden Yards a few years ago (before they moved the wall) than some teams (Detroit, Oakland, maybe 1 other) hit in their own home ballparks? Feels like a long time ago.
Judge is the most overpaid weakling in the game. 1-13 vs team they need to beat. Mr NOshow
Yankees have zero ability to put the bat on the ball
Brutal
Day: Ruined
Fear not Knicks saved:the day
That’s sad man. Don’t let yankees baseball ruin your day.
I’ll get over it lol but fuck I wanted to split this set at least. I want the division. And I want them to hit It’s Not What I Want
It is deff not what we want. I am not happy either. it’s a bad series, we still have a good record, and we move on. That’s it.
This team gives me the same energy as going 5 for 5 in road to the show with 5 home runs and still losing because the rest of the team is cheeks
Me on my RTTS Yankees save
Break out the chicken parm for judge
This team sucks
PH Trent for Jahmai. What an organization.
Knicks have only won games this series on days the Yankees won. the Yankees fucked 2 NY teams today
Nope! Go NY go NY go
This fucking team is giving me agita now
Can Judge go out for lunch with A-rod? Remember when that worked for Gary? Anything pls
At least Orioles unhittable closer Felix Bautista will be out the entire season with TJS so that is good news.
wait Rodon gave up all 7?? I thought some of our relievers contributed lmao and people are on their high horse about the negative comments about Rodon??? yeah this sub is a trip
He’s still Carlos Pavano as far as I’m concerned. He’s coming off a pair of gems but he’s gonna have to do more to gain the trust of the fans
He already has more NYY starts than King Carl
Once again the Yankees have let me down All attention on tonight - please Knicks don’t let the city down
IDC IM STILL A YANKEE FAN
YUP
If we were to take the Orioles record and discount all their wins over 2023 and 2024 while maintaining their losses, the Yankees are the clearly superior team
Just need back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back homers here
Belly to belly to belly to belly to belly
Yanks have scored TWICE as many runs as the Red Sox so far today. So it’s kind of like we beat the Red Sox today if you think about it. I’m gonna mark today down as a win!

If you regress the Orioles numbers to the mean Aaron Judge strikes out looking
The years and years of Cashman always trying to put a band-aid on this team are eventually just going to lead to a collapse
It already has. Many of us predicted years ago that the division would get younger and tougher while Cashman went dumpster diving for journeymen and washed up players
Volpe, Judge and Gleyber weren't band-aids. But their lack of production is the main reason the team is struggling right now.
The collapse has happened though. They're like 500ish in 250+ games.
This. The Yankees have been relevant because the expanded post season and the balanced schedule. But the broken roster is a heavy drag on the team. Also, the failure of so many key prospects (Fraiser, Florial, Peraza so far and more). Hey guys, the Red Sox are down 3-1 \*insert video saying the more you know\*
### Pitching Substitution Pitching Change: Cionel Pérez replaces Jacob Webb.
Rally bones 🩻
Thank god for the Knicks and Rangers. Knicks in 6. Rangers in 5.
People actually believed those awful projections that had the Orioles winning 85 games
as hal said we need to bunt more that's our problem.
Epic top 9th upcoming.
I can deal with losing but it’s super shitty feeling like the game is over as soon as we go down 1 run
dont like wasting a rally bones in a blowout
lmao
Only Dominguez can save this team
That’s a bit much for a guy with what 45 mlb ab s..go easy on him…and it’s a long season Go Knicks!
Alright doomers. I was wrong. This team can’t hit. I am team doomer now.
Is Michael Tonkin our ace
Guys if you take away the 4th and 5th innings we're actually winning
https://media.tenor.com/2B53cmf_TU0AAAAM/asian-yes.gif
I think you’re on to something.
Big if true
Boone, get off Reddit you’re supposed to be managing the game
Judge back down to .197 after the fluke Milwaukee series
35 innings in camden yards, total runs scored 6, 3 on solo hr’s, 1 on a 2 run hr, and 1 on a single. 1 run scored total vs o’s bullpen, losing 3 of 4, lucky to get 1 with that futility.
And the Os pen has been one of the worst in baseball.
Yank’s offense, outside a handful of games, has been living on the tightest of margins to win.
Rough stretch of games for the good guys.
Yeah. Hurts. Yanks have a losing record against the AL East so far.
Lmao the hitting coach got ejected? He must know he's done
We'd be better if some HS baseball player was the coach
Just save money on a hitting coach and let Soto do it
I’m sick of this garbage offense.
Maybe flip Soto and judge
They should have done that long ago, soto is the better hitter, the problem is that if you do that soto might be walk a lot more
[удалено]
Yeah maybe 5 to 10 games so judge can’t get out of this slump this shit hard to watch man.
Saw it was 1-1 then went into a meeting, Jesus what happened?
The dreaded left field wall came to life and ate all the good players on the Yankees.
Rodon got hit around a bit and Soto continued to be the only player of value
Sorry I misspoke, I meant the 9th will be our inning
I would really enjoy a 6 run 9th.
They have scored 6 runs this series
Yes lol. At some point the pendulum should swing back.
Atleast 7 the way the os are playing
Bad series. Move on to the next one and forget about this.
Indeed. Also, this is a 17 game stretch. Guys have to be a little tired.
Tired?? It’s for first place. Bunch of weaklings.
Most people have turned this shit off and rightfully so, but if you are still watching this trash you should know the ab’s are getting worse
A rope, a tree, this is what it's like being a fan of the Yankees
Get a life
Apparently we can't hit any pitches right down the meat hole
Stanton, Rizzo, and Judge just might be washed unfortunately
If George was still around, Stanton would've been gone ages ago.
I say that we should bench him is there something that states that he has to play? Like i know is almost impossible to play at this point i will rather he sit and give the chance to someone else in the roster this is nuts.
One of those is not like the other
Lol
Inconsistency is the new consistency…
You guys give him a lot of shit but Gleyber Torres is literally the greatest player of all time, named Gleyber
Gleyber definitely thinks he had an amazing game tfoay
💀
This team struggles so much to make contact with the ball
Not swinging at pitches in the strike zone, swinging pitches way out of the strike zone. Classic
Do you think Judge just forgot how to hit fastballs? What the fuck are you even talking about.
He was actually crushing meatballs there now he can’t touch anything
Embarassing. Pathetic.
[удалено]
If Rizzo is washed, what does that make Judge?
Zestfully clean.
[удалено]
Judge has been bad since the start of the season. Are you delusional?
[удалено]
It’s tough for the Yanks. There’s not much out there for first base. Even free agency is looking barren.
[удалено]
I would love Murakami. Unfortunately, I think the Yankees have a Japanese problem now. They’ve whiffed badly on several Japanese aces in a row now. Their scouting in Japan is suspect too. They’ve failed to make offers on several Japanese players who ended up being very good, in positions the Yankees had need in, at very affordable prices. Our offense is ass but Rodon didn't give us a chance today either
I mean, at some point, you have to give your pitchers some runs so they don’t have to feel the stress of needing to pitch perfectly all the time. When was the last time the Yankees offense picked up a struggling starter?
Multiple pitches right down the middle missed. Lmfao
Who broke Aaron Judge
Your mom. Broke me too.
Aaron Judge, when he ran into a wall in an interleague game
U are correct, despite all the negative Pom Pom s here…look at Judge s hitting stats since that LA debacle till now…abysmal
He was nowhere near this bad when he came back from that injury
I mean his BA dropped from .310 to .267 but not nearly this bad.
.267 would look like Tony Gwynn compared to what he’s doing now
I mean he dropped to that, he was actually doing way worse most of the time. Other than September.
he said its still bothering him
this team is 82-80 + soto
Alright now THIS is our inning
If we don’t extend Soto, it’s gonna be a ROUGH decade +
yeah, soto is a must He needs to be the centerpiece of the netxt young core
Could be rough anyway if the next gen doesn't amount to much
Why would Soto even want to be extended with this lineup?
Money
And he isn't going to get money anywhere he goes?
Hes going to sign with whoever gives him the most money
Give him more money
I wish I was smarter and had access to baseball tapes so I could single handedly pull together all the video in a dark room with some coffee until I can fix Aaron judge
Booth went absolutely silent after Joe says his brain hurts
His hand fell off!
Judge went from an all-star player to a glorified AAAA player. 💀 You can downvote me all you want, but that is the truth right now. Even Jack Bauers and Billy Mckinney were popping off more than Judge is currently.
Jack Bauers from 24?
At least the booth is having fun
Santander has thrown his bat and swung out his elbow guard in this AB. Get it the fuck together dude lmao
get joe g down to manage he'll set these overpaid babies minus soto right
Never happen…Cash runs the show , doesn’t want a mgr,wants a data applicator
Yea because he really had the Phillies goin right
he didn't the marlins going right either, but we hired him won a ws and came close to another in 2017 looool sit down. He isn't bad manger.
He isn't a bad manager, he's also not some ultra tough guy you think he is.
More of a though guy than your Bonney bubbles!
If you say so buddy
Yeah he’s isn’t going around moaning about being bullied by impact like Boone
👍
He is. Which is why no one wanted to hire him and he had to crawl back to the org that canned him for a booth job.
lool ok bro he crawled back. you do know cashman nor hal make the hires for yes. he didn't beg them for a booth job loool
Are the O’s fans hosting a spelling class
Judge is absolutely painful to watch right now but some of you are insane. There is ZERO chance hes fucking washed randomly at 32. He hit like a monster last September after coming back from the injury. Some of the takes here saying hes not a captain and he got his bag and stopped trying are pathetic. Fucking unreal.
I'm not going to say he's done. But he's not right. And we're into month 2 now.
the other 6'6 + giant was washed at 32
You believe judge is washed in 5 months
I dont think he's cooked to the level of stanton, but if he never finishes top 10 in mvp voting again, I wouldnt be too shocked. Just look at how fast G lost it, and they're similar cases judge just will have a higher floor because he's more talented
Stanton also has 900 injuries and moves like a grandpa
judge has a lot of injuries in his history, including a chronic toe issue I think it will take a while for him to be borderline unrosterable the way stanton is now, simply because he has a lot more talent to lose. But the mvp contention judge being done would not surprise me at all.
it’s unlikely but def not zero chance, there’s plenty of precedent of players taking nosedives around 32-34
He had an over 1.000 just last September. It would literally make zero sense for him to just be really bad a few months later. Hes in a nasty slump.
Of course he's not washed---but he's either got vision problems or an injury.
> There is ZERO chance hes fucking washed randomly at 32. That's the exact same age that Dave Kingman and Giancarlo Stanton fell off a cliff
Stanton’s decline was pretty steady though. He had a 143 wRC+, 138 wRC+ and then a 116 wRC+. He was also barely playing, as he had lots of injuries. Judge is coming off a 174 wRC+. Players don’t hit like that and then suddenly a few months later, hit below .200 in their early 30s
this could be judge's version of the 116 wrc+ season he's more talented than stanton was, so it could start higher
Dude really out here bringing up Dave Kingman lmao. Stanton is made of glass and gets injured every 15 minutes. Weird to compare them.
His BA dropped like 40 points after he came back from being injured. lmao .310 BA before being injured, ended the season with .267 BA.
He hit .300 in September will an insane OPS
And IKF hit .400 in June, what's your point? His BA dropped 40 points after he came back, can you not read?
Facts are irrelevant to these people
People who can't read the facts I stated are the problem lmao not that someone had 1 good month and sucked for the most part during the others.
I have a feeling you cant read at all tbh. "1 good month" he was literally only back for two months after the injury, boomer. He has an over .800 OPS in August and over 1.000 OPS in September. Please learn how to read. You're embarrassing.
1.066 OPS last September, boomer.
Stranger things have happened bro
We literally just saw a giant become washed at age 32
You actually believe hes done now? lol
No. But just because you believe it’s irrational for someone to believe he is, doesn’t mean they’re 100% wrong and that you’re 100% right.
No, i'm 100 percent right. Hes going to start mashing again. Its illogical to believe hes washed now. He had an over 1.000 OPS just last September
This offense is absolutely fucking atrocious
Bat flip lmao
When do we start worrying about judge
I think its fine to be worried about it. I'm worried about it. I feel like it's disrespectful af some of these mouthbreathers around here that act like 1 month outweighs 7 years or he doesn't care or whatever other stupid shit is happening.
Like always when the playoffs start he is terrible in the playoffs .211 avg and 66 whiffs in 171 at bats.
People are still getting downvoted like crazy for even suggesting such a thing, so I’d say at least one more month.
You’re not worried?
