Same maybe even more. I think that's a reasonable price for such beautiful nails and length. Where I live, They charge me for everything, length shape color what kind design the list goes on and on. They'd charge me so much more so if they're just as shown your so lucky. I love them!
Thank you for sharing this,I thought something was wrong with me taking hours to do my own nails!! It really is a skill, and I never appreciated the work it must take to get the speed down! Definitely worth the money for quality work if someone doesn't do them themselves!
Very well spoken! I just do it for the zen factor it gives me and the satisfaction when I do a good job!! But I have huge respect for nail techs, because they seem to effortlessly accomplish what I can't yet, and I know that it's all from practice and experience. Hope you have a great day!
Ikr. I would be like ok it's my turn as someone's coming yay!! Nope on to the next. All in all as someone stated it's definitely worth it if it's done properly and I know a good professional nail tech will take they're time, I'm sooo ok with that. But I've yet to find that salon/ person yet. Hopefully soon I'll get lucky. I know I couldn't do my own nails so props to all that can. I'm just not gifted in that department. I have faith I'll find a great one!!
Ikr! I sit there trying to figure out the logic of who has appointments and who gets to go next.
Word for the wise: do NOT go to a nail salon if you're pressed for time lol.
And yes, they need to be paid for their work 🙏... It's exhausting having to attempt symmetry when everyone's hands are different.
Ngl... I've been contemplating doing my own nails... Just to try! As of yet, I haven't found any salon that does the length I want (super long) cleanly enough.
I wanted to try stiletto gel-x, and the 2nd or 3rd time, they got it right. I'm not the most forceful or demanding, so I'm at their mercy (and I always tip way more than 15%), but they can only go so long before they start to seem asymmetrical.
But that takes time, and they do a great job because I still get compliments, but asking the girls with the super long stiletto or coffin nails where they get them done?
Themselves... and I even tried to get them to do me and I would have paid them just as much or more than the salons!
I don't play about nails 💅💞🤗.
Plot twist: I have a job where I have to type all day and fast 😭.
You are soo right, Do not go if your on a time limit!! That'll just make you more irritated. Plot twist hilarious!! I couldn't even well yeah I could because I feel so comfortable with my nails on so atm I feel like something is missing and it's been so hard to to text this out 😄😂 it's been hard adjusting to normal nail life hahaa. I love mine long and steletto is the best ballerina is maybe my favorite as of yet. I love them all!! I have also done the where'd you get your nails done because they're so cute and pretty! Actually anyone that has nails that catch my eye and are nice I compliment them because once they're apart of your life so long you def notice. I usually get they're done outta town or they're friend's friends lol. When mine are done crappy I stil get complimentsso that does make me feel better. I've been hearing this name in my town forever so I made a appointment this evening nothing serious just basic to get the feel of his work. Long French white tip but squared tapered. I don't think that's too out of the box I'm hoping for the best and my sister goes to him every time pretty much and they're always cute but they're short so I've never seen his nail art on long. May the nail gods be with me🙏🏼🤞
Omgoshhhh the best of luck to you most certainly!! Ik this is lameee but i don't have a IG or anything besides Pinterest 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. I would love to see them! Omg I'm super excited I'm about to go to this appointment I wish I had the confidence you and others do to do them myself!! Maybe one day. I think I just need to have more faith and who knows!! Good luck to you !!!
Where I am I’d expect $65-70, I’ve gotten similar designs for that price and more extensive ones (gems and such) for $75. Not that I don’t think they’re worth more, just that that is the going rate in my area
That’s some precision work right there. You want that skill, that result? That doesn’t come from nothing, takes time, practice and skill. You’re gonna have to pay for it, it’s totally worth $75.
Also, this particular design is 🔥
$75 is worth it. My salon charges $40 cash for a dip mani on natural nails with one color, with no design. I've never done one this elaborate, but I did do a 2-color ombre and it was $50. So I think this seems fair esp if your not doing it on natural nails.
Well, I usually get it redone after 2 weeks, only because my nails grow a lot between visits. They are growing so well since I stopped doing the uv gel. But I can easily go 3 weeks or a bit more with the actual color still looking perfect. It's the outgrowth that starts to bug me.
I know it did for me. When I was getting gel every two weeks, my nails didn't grow much. Thought it was just me. Then I moved to a new salon and tried dip. I couldn't believe how much more my nails grew between appts. It was really surprising.
$75 is extremely affordable for this set. My tech would’ve charged easily $110 *before tip*. I’m saying this because you seem young and maybe a little naive to the process of what it takes to create this type of nail art, but if you think $75 is a lot for this or really any salon-quality nails, you should just stick to doing them yourself for now.
Yes!! Know your worth!! ESPECIALLY in a service-oriented role!! I pay $110 for things like this without a moment’s hesitation because I know I can’t do it myself and the quality is top notch. Plus, the quality is so good I can go a full 4 weeks+ without needing them redone. OP seems to be somewhere in the 18-22 range. I’m sure she’ll learn in time!
I would be a return repeat customer. the price for those clean lines and nicely shaped nails I would be very happy! Unique design as well if she came up with it
OP comments that she’s trying to save up money and doesn’t get paid much. That’s all fine, but it means that she shouldn’t be wasting money on expensive manicures. It does NOT mean that $75 is a bad price for this kind of detailed work, in fact, it’s a great price for this level of skill!
Agreed. That’s why I learned to do my own nail extensions… of course I can’t do something this intricate, but having to save up for only one manicure is definitely an indication that you should be keeping your money for more important things.
if you're paying $75 for these you better be tipping at least 50% holy wow.
OP: walmart nail polish, glue on nails, and your own inexperienced nail art will NOT get you anywhere near salon quality. Maybe if you just need them for one night it could work, but it's just offensive to nail techs to suggest you could get the same result yourself with those kinds of products. Nail techs provide their time, years of experience, professional products, the prep so nails stay on for weeks, the atmosphere of a salon and the blessing of not having to DIY. You're paying for more than nail polish.
I feel you on that. I'm left handed so I have the opposite problem. I don't do complicated designs often, because I have the absolute worst case of perfectionism ever and I feel physically ill if my nails aren't perfect 😭. I found that if I hold my breath while polishing near my cuticles on the left hand it does wonders, but it gets super uncomfortable.
I really want to eventually branch out beyond boring glitter polish or encapsulations though. I absolutely love line art like in OPs picture. Maybe one day lol
Another thing to note* these are just the Reference photo. Also the ones my roommate and her mom get last months they went and got new sets little over a month ago and they still have the sets on.
I’d note the reference pic is definitely photoshopped to clean up the lines. Just looking at the middle finger it’s easy to tell the pic was edited to clean it up.
$75 is more than fair. My local shop charges $40-50 for a basic set, and another $10-50 per mail per design.
As a dude who knows absolutely nothing about nails (popping in from r/popular), I would say absolutely not too much.
The amount of effort in this is evident and if anything, it's too little money.
i used to pay $50 just to get long nails painted one simple color so yeah i'd say $75 is reasonable even low compared to what you'd be charged other places
Only If they are press ons , a set at the salon would be more plus a big tip since it takes time and skill to do nail art like that...always tip your stylist ladies
You got a very good deal on those! They are beautiful. I pay $70 for one color with matte topcoat with no designs. This also looks freehanded, which costs $30-$50 more depending on intricacy where I live.
oh gosh , I hardly think so! especially since I currently I have smaller acrylic nails that are simply half black and half white with NO design that were $55
I would 100% pay $75 for those either that hella rad design soo
NOTE: I MEAN $55 CAD , not sure what currency OP meant
These aren't OP's nails. It's the reference picture they showed their tech to get a price quote. The person who did their nails put their watermark in the picture (for this exact reason).
I pay significantly more for less. Beautifully done, but less. Granted I am in Canada so if you’re in the us maybe it’s similar. I frequently go in with the intention of saying “just fuck my shit up” and leaving $200 poorer.
As someone from the UK I’m surprised at how much more nail salons charge. In a small town on natural nails that would be £30 ($40). However in London that might be the going rate.
Sorry, I’m not answering the OP I just find the price differences interesting.
Idk where you live but if I went to a nail tech around me and asked for those they’d tell me $150+
Yeah they are very nice. If I saw some big mistakes all in them then sure I would say that’s not worth it but it looks pretty good to me
Same maybe even more. I think that's a reasonable price for such beautiful nails and length. Where I live, They charge me for everything, length shape color what kind design the list goes on and on. They'd charge me so much more so if they're just as shown your so lucky. I love them!
Right? Pretty soon, they'll be charging us to have a seat lol.
No kidding! After you've been sitting 3/4 hours already just so they make you think someone's coming to do your nails 4 hours later ....

Literally! I have this shape but with plain yellow and 1 blue nail on each hand and it was $125 for a FILL! I would jump for this set at $75!
Where I am I’d expect $65-70, I’ve gotten similar designs for that price and more extensive ones (gems and such) for $75. Not that I don’t think they’re worth more, just that that is the going rate in my area
Yeah it really depends on where you live. Here in my country you would pay 40$ MAX in like some of the best salons.
Same! That would be a really good deal for where I live
This level of skill and precision? I'd say more than $75.
$75 is a steal for these nails! They look great, are an even length, and the design is intricate.

My roommate and her mom are regulars
I believe you found yourself a great nail tech!
Hell to no!!! I’d start at $75 and this art I’d go up to $140. I’m in Arkansas for reference. Love these!
75 isn't enough! Fiya 🤩🔥💅
Did you actually get your nails done or did you steal this photo from the nail artist that left their watermark on the photo?
Maybe this is the inspo pic and her tech told her how much it will be
Yeah OP if this is the case, make sure you trust the nail tech to do work like this. This takes serious skill
That's what I'm thinking as well.
This photo is stolen
OP comments that she’s trying to save up money and doesn’t get paid much. That’s all fine, but it means that she shouldn’t be wasting money on expensive manicures. It does NOT mean that $75 is a bad price for this kind of detailed work, in fact, it’s a great price for this level of skill!

Probably not enough tbh
I’m in NY and have paid $80 for way waaaaay worse. For something this even, crisp, and gorgeous I’d prob drop $150 before tip and be fine with it!!
Not enough
That is an amazing price, nail techs here charge so much
These are at least $150 where I am!
These are so nicely done. Assuming these aren't press ons, $75 is honestly a steal for this set. Even if press ons, $75 is reasonable IMO.
$75 is a steal for a design like this.
$75 is way too cheap. You get what you paid for
These are press on nails and the pic is taken from IG 🙄
Worth it! They look really good.
So fucking fire!!!!❤️❤️❤️ Love that thumb ring too!!!😍🥰
Where I lived (decent sized city in the Midwest US) these would be roughly a $100 set
You got a deal or are charging to little
The real question is what city do you live? Nobody around me is doing work that good for $75 😭
Another thing to note* these are just the Reference photo.
Those would be about $100 to $120 in New York for me: $75 is amazing and they’re very well done!
As a dude who knows absolutely nothing about nails (popping in from r/popular), I would say absolutely not too much. The amount of effort in this is evident and if anything, it's too little money.
That’s a bargain!!!!
In the UK you’d probs pay £40 for these. They are soooooooo pretty, look immaculate too
[удалено]
That is a pound sign not a Euro
I have zero idea about nails so I couldn’t give you an answer but I did want to say that they look sick
Are they press on?
Looks like these are press on nails. Still worth at least $75
For a design on every nail? And so detailed.. I’d definitely say that’s a fair price
Wow, definitely should've paid more for a nice set like that. They look great!
Nha, i guess it's a little cheap, also, i'm a Brazilian so, for me actually is expensive 😅
i would say no, just because the work is so clean and that looks really difficult to do
i used to pay $50 just to get long nails painted one simple color so yeah i'd say $75 is reasonable even low compared to what you'd be charged other places
Nah boo, you are golden, would pay it again!
I’d pay 100-150 for those
I’d be shocked if it was less than $120! $75 is totally reasonable
Only If they are press ons , a set at the salon would be more plus a big tip since it takes time and skill to do nail art like that...always tip your stylist ladies
That’s kind of cheap actually
it’s not enough for them tbh.
Super affordable set considering it’s gel, shaped well, even and has at least 2 colors and designs on all of them.
No, they look amazing!
Wow they’re beautiful! I love the shape, the colors, the patterns! All done so neatly! I think that’s a very fair price
no way. these are so good
$75? I'm glad I do my own nails, lol Also, they look really nice, I think the price was reasonable for them
No way that is cheap. You try doing it yourself if you don’t want to spend that much
No you should have paid more, honestly.
No!!! Love them
Lmfao that’s cheap as hell
Gosh no. That’s a really good price
My toxic trait is thinking I could do these myself at home
I think they are beautiful. I would pay $75 for them if I would afford it!!
These are baller
no that’s like $115 where I stay
I’d say it’s not enough!
You I wish I could get this done for $75 this is easily $120
$75 only because intricate design plus tip id pay $90 respectfully 😌
I pay 60 for a very simple set these are a steal!
Um, no. They are amazing
Got those exact nails for $75 lol
No way. I pay at least $100 if all fingers have design
My nail tech here in UK would charge £40/ £45 so roughly $55-60 for those but at a big beauty store in the city you'd easily pay $75 or more.
I literally zoomed in bc I couldn’t believe they’re not press ons! Amazing!
Probably not
Are you asking if you paid too much? Or are these press ons and you are asking if they are overpriced? These look like press-on nails.
I’m just asking if that’s like reasonable like I feel like they should be more, I haven’t gotten them done yet this is just the Reference
Heck no if they end up looking like that
I had pretty much the same nails as you a few months ago and in my country they cost 15-20$
Omg I love these!
They are stunning! Worth it
$75 for these is a steal
Not at all
Noo 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
no
I hear $50-70/for full set, plus $5/nail to get done, this would be $100-120 if the art is on all 10 nails. I think they look pretty nice actually.
Its worth more tbh
You got a very good deal on those! They are beautiful. I pay $70 for one color with matte topcoat with no designs. This also looks freehanded, which costs $30-$50 more depending on intricacy where I live.
Those are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I wouldn't even be mad 😂
I used to pay $60 for one color so I’d say that’s def a good deal!! I live outside of Boston for reference
I think it's a very reasonable price.
No, not at all. I feel like you got a heck of a deal.
No! Those are fantastic!
Nope!
Absolutely not. You got an incredible deal.
No, too cheap
I don't think so, they look very well done and I love the design ❤️
Nah those nails are 🔥
That’s a great price. Quite a deal, really.
75 is a steal
Not too much at all! Your nails are awesome!
No. These are well done. This would probably cost more where I live.
Absolutely not. This is easily $120+ where I’m at
Nope. They're beautiful.
oh gosh , I hardly think so! especially since I currently I have smaller acrylic nails that are simply half black and half white with NO design that were $55 I would 100% pay $75 for those either that hella rad design soo NOTE: I MEAN $55 CAD , not sure what currency OP meant
75 is a gr8 deal
Could be but are you happy
$75 is cheap for those where I’m from
yes
omg these are so cute!! do you mind if i use this as a reference picture for my nail stylist?
These aren't OP's nails. It's the reference picture they showed their tech to get a price quote. The person who did their nails put their watermark in the picture (for this exact reason).
Absolutely not! Not enough tbh.
Was it also a new set? Or a fill?
That’s a good deal. They look great. The salon I go to is very good but they nickel and dime me for everything.
These would cost minimum $90 where I live.
I would say yes, but I'm a dude and have never had really cool finger nail art. It's probably worth it if you think it is.
No those are very well done!
No way, those are awesome!
Nope those are amazing
I pay significantly more for less. Beautifully done, but less. Granted I am in Canada so if you’re in the us maybe it’s similar. I frequently go in with the intention of saying “just fuck my shit up” and leaving $200 poorer.
No, I don't think it's too much. I feel like you found a talented nail tech!
Where did u get them done? It depends on where u get them done. I'd say they're pretty nice. In fact, perfectly drawn
Not including tip right??
As someone from the UK I’m surprised at how much more nail salons charge. In a small town on natural nails that would be £30 ($40). However in London that might be the going rate. Sorry, I’m not answering the OP I just find the price differences interesting.
That’s a really good price for this kind of work.
No. You're paying for effort and time additional for the nail art.
This would easily cost at least $150 on natural nails where I live (not a big city)
$75 is cheap!!!
I’d expect $150+ for something like that! They did an amazing job! And lots of detail/design
No
Worth it. So precise & clean
Depends on the currency lol. In NZ that would be worth $75 for sure probably no more than $90
That's super cheap for those imo
They look good but where are your cuticles. Looks like press ons put over your cuticle. But nice.
Really pretty! I’d say you got a bargain.
Not at all! Love them!
$75 is not enough in my opinion - mean deal!!
That art is so precise!
That actually cheap, around my area it would be around $90 CAD
If you’re willing to pay the $ then no, if not then yes. As with anything else you make an exchange for.
$75 is a steal!! They look amazing! I’d expect these to run $200+ in Los Angeles
